THere was a huge difference between public library and school library.

The biggest one is size and budget. My library budget for the year would be less than what they order in one week. lol!

In my job I have two roles... One is an admin role in terms of running/managing the library... and the other as a teacher. I teach each class in the school each week, and try to support teachers in what they are teaching by providing appropriate resources.

I was not born to work in an office, and in the public library there was mostly office work with maybe only 20% client contact a week.

I really haven't travelled overseas much, so I don't have much to compare it on. Been to Vanuatu twice, but thats it...

I do like our climate though... I can't imagine living with snow in winter. urgh... I have 'travelled' to the snow twice in my life. It's not my idea of fun. hahaha. too cold.

I absolutely love not having to deal with snow much in South Carolina. The summers are really humid, though.
