Low sperm count?

I heard that if you have sex daily, then this could actually decrease the sperm count and make it harder to get pregnant. Well my spouse and I get it on a couple times a day more often than not, and he's not willing to adjust. Could this be why we're not getting pregnant??

I'm pretty sure I read that having sex everyday or more than once a day is just fine, but I will double check that and get back to you.

How long have you been trying? Have you brought this up with your OB-GYN? I would also suggest that you pick up Taking Charge of Your Fertility if you are just beginning to TTC.

It is only an issue if his sperm count is already low because you're using them all at one time and you may not be ovulating then.

My doc advised us to have sex only every second day... She said that the "quality" of the sperm reduces if you do it more than that but less frequent than that is... Too infrequent. Hubby and I have never been schedule people so not sure how we will adjust to this.
