Love

Love. God is Love. Jesus Christ died because he loved us, and wanted to do the will of the Father, who again is Love. As Christians we are called to love others and forgive the ones who do us harm. Truth be told it is very difficult to do so, but to God it is simple as can be, and it holds the same weight to him as it does to us. He loves us with all he has, unconditionally. So, when I look on threads throughout this forum, why am I not seeing very much love? It's mostly arguments, debates, and to be honest it hurts me to see this. When I first joined this forum, I was told that I would never see unity on this site, I'm starting to think that person was right.

So I have one question for everyone who sees this. Do you truly love God? Because if you do you would obey Jesus, and love each other. I'm just not seeing it here, there are a few people a remnant on CF, that I know have the love of Christ in their hearts, but as for the rest, I just don't know. Still I'm not a coward that I would leave things as they are, and not try to change things. I'm not a coward who just leaves things as they are if things are not right.

I won't give up. Never. Not until I see unification of the church.

I made three promises to God, and I intend to keep them.

I will love the Lord my God and all he loves with all my heart, soul, and might, and with everything I have and am. Always and Forever and Forever unto Eternity.

I will not harm anyone in any way, shape, or form.

I will do what is right, no matter the cost.

If you love God, then what are you willing to give up for him? If you believe in the Cross of Christ, then what will you do about it? Faith without works is dead. You need to love God with your life.

So, my question is, honestly speaking, what will it take to unify the church?

I seriously want to know.

Whatever it takes, I will do everything within my power to see it happens. If I fail, you can rest assured that hope will arise from somewhere else.

Internet forum are often like looking through a dark lens, but we can bring the light, the love, as well as we can. In real life though, I find my neighbors nearby, though I go to another church than they do, have all responded in love.

We love one another, though we are in different churches.

Only one thing.. focussing on the Kingdom instead of themselves.

We can only do what we can, I agree. However, I seek unification. Not of the church buildings, but of the church itself, the people. I can always look back to the bible and see the mighty things that God did through those who were in one accord, but I crave that not just for myself, but for everyone. Any opinions on how one would go about accomplishing such a task would be awesome.

I think it's in the individual level often -- putting love one another into practice. Today. And tomorrow.

Matthew 7:12 is the how-to.

In discussion one way is sympathetically listening to get what the other person is trying to say. To better hear, and thus better relate.

You can't unify the church. That's Jesus the Christs job. When he returns he will unify it and set judgment upon the people according to their works.

I noticed one thing about social media like this site: It differs from real church interaction in several ways. You really don't know who is behind each avatar or message. And there is no one person saying a message and everyone listening. One person directing a class while people ask questions.

In other words, I wouldn't compare this site to a real church.

It's not meant to be a church but rather a pool where different faiths come together and debate their religious beliefs.

That said I think your post is awesome and hits the mark well. We all have to repent and humble ourselves and forgive others. But that simply doesn't happen as we are not all from the same religion

Jesus put it bluntly also. Man's will or God's will. No need to expand on it and create a religion.

I know, but sadly not everyone will make it to heaven. The lost that God cannot save because they choose not to be saved, and the like. Still, I want everyone to at least give God a chance. Also, I have posted before, I hold the firm belief the body of Christ aka the people who serve him are the church. Of course, I also believe that Christianity is more of a deep and personal relationship with Christ, than just a mere religion.

I agree, I can tell now thanks to you. This site doesn't encourage unity. But i'm still not giving up.

Though I'd prefer if everyone had someone who loved God and them, and showed them God's Love. That is what I want to be for everyone, at least. Maybe then everyone would have a better chance come judgement day. I'm so stupid, do you know that I prayed to God that he would save everyone. How silly is that? I even told him I would go to the ends of the Earth for just one person.

But the funniest part is...I meant it...I truly meant it, every word. I could have sworn I heard a voice say, "I will." On that night, I cried those tears for everyone who is lost, and I truly meant it...I just don't know, i'm so silly. I know not everyone will make it to heaven.

But what if everyone had someone like Jesus, a little Christ by their side, someone who would never give up on them, and always loved them no matter what.

The truth is I want to be that kind of person. I want to be a true friend to everyone. But i don't know what to do, what do I do?

To be honest it was the first time I ever truly cared about anyone besides myself. And those words, "I will." They comforted me. Whether they were from God or Satan I don't know.
