lost with religin

im well i guess new to chirst. before i never really thought of anything.

you hear of bapitist and aglican and roman cathlic and chirstains and jewdism and all this other stuff. i dont get it. i go to a baptist church but they say im chirstain. i dont get it all. i believe in god. i believe jesus came and dead for my sins. i believe he rose again. i believe in heaven and hell and everything in the bible. but i thought all chirstains did. whats with the different groups?

They're just simply different denominations. Some just believe slightly different things is all.

It's not uncommon, if you think about it. You can be a Quebecois, but you're still Canadian, right?

Some groups emphasis a certain passage of Scripture over another. Others simply have different customs.

Just keep in mind that it's about faith, and not religion. Religion takes us away from intimacy with God which is what He truly desires. The Bible warns us to be cautious of legalism, and often that's exactly what "religion" is.
