Has anyone on here completely rejected their faith as untrue but then returned back to it? I rejected mine for about a week but over the past few months I've been trying desperately to get it back because I think its true. Any advice or hope? Please pray that I will find it again cos I don't want to go to hell

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Praying, Is it all about going to hell? think of it more this way, You are saved by our Heavenly father. You want to follow his lead. Pray that he will come in your heart. Keep in mind though: "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge" "Fools despise wisdom." Is it pure fear that makes you follow God or does your faith come in there too? Never forget that the only one who can really give you faith the only one who can save you is Jesus. Read you bible, Pray, and Work for and with our Lord.

This may seem like a strange reply but dont worry about it,live your life and be happy it really is of no benefit to worry about anything it gets you no where.Go out and do kind deeds and spread peace and your faith will return in abundance

If you're looking for it, Steve, you've already found it, as St Augustine, I believe, pointed out. Who do you think put the desire to refind God in your heart? Enjoy your refound faith. The prayers of people on here are a wonderful bonus, anyway, aren't they?
But to keep it firmly established, you need to go a little out of your comfort zone sometimes, praymore, try to make little sacrifices, etc. Nothing really onerous, unless you're sure God is asking something from you, in particular, which is very onerous.
