I think we all thought she was dead too. That was really weird.

I personally don't care if Shannon dies because I haven't really gotten attached to anyone yet, but I don't really want anyone to die anyways.

i saw it coming with teh step brother/sister thing but was floored that the whole running form the "thing" and shannon "dying" was a halluicination.

i thought i'd bust a gut when hurley said that to the guy about his foot!!!

anyone know what the significance was about the compass that Locke gave sayiid that points in the worng direction? hmmmmmmm......

the only thing that came to mind with that is the fact that when you are really close to the North Pole, compasses don't work right because you're too close to the magnetic pole or something like that. Maybe they're really are somehow close to the N.Pole which might explain something more about the polar bears....

I don't know, if they were really close to the North Pole, it wouldn't be warm. The N.P gets alot of sun in the summer (the sun actually doesn't "set" there in summer months), but because of the angle that the sun hit's it, it doesn't get warm, or at least not the kind of warmth that they have been showing.

I'm thinking its Locke's way to show Sayid that the island is its own world. There are only a few places outside of the poles that do that to compasses, one of them is the Bermuda Triangle if that tells you anything.

Not saying they are in the Triangle....but....

ohhhhhhhhhhh now that's a thought!!!!!! someone at work said they thought maybe somehow Locke crashed the plane on purpose but i'm not sure how but i can't buy that bc he didn't realize the power it held over his legs and being ab;e to walk til they actually crashed..

I would be very very disappointed if I found out this was the case. I personally think that they will be rescued after everyone's personal problems are solved.

I think the compass is showing that the island is different. It doesn't follow the normal
rules.
It could have something to do with what ever Locke/Boone(?) found.

Maybe, whatever it is is giving off a magnetic feild.

Yes, I know. I guess it's just because I have a step-brother, and the thought is just unimaginable to me. LOL, I had to cover my eyes while 'the scene' was going on.

But, beyond that...WHY would you want to get so cozy with someone who's been scamming you out of your money for years and years? Some men are just so weak when it comes to a pretty girl, I guess.

And another question I had...it was that gooey stuff that Locke put on his head that made him see that whole thing, right? Or was it just the island making weird things happen?

I think the "gooey" was some form of drug that made Boone have the vision. Does anyone think the "monster" is a dinosaur???
