Yesterday's Episode:

Michael and Jin are working on the new raft. Michael comes up with the idea of having an SOS beacon used while the raft is out to sea. But they realize that they'll need a power source to do that... like batteries... hey! Sayid said that the French Woman had batteries!

Sayid vehemently refuses to help. He says it's dangerous and that he may have been mistaken since he was so disoriented. He pulls out the maps and notes that he stole from the French Woman. Hurley sees the notes and recognizes a series of numbers that were used over and over in her notes.

They're the same numbers that he used to win the lottery... the CURSED numbers!

Hurley goes nuts in his head, but remains quiet. In the middle of the night, he asks Sayid some more questions about how to find the French Woman. Sayid thinks this has to do with batteries, so he ignores him. Hurley swipes some of the notes away from Sayid and then disappears. He heads to a river to fill several bottles with water because he's about to embark on a solo journey to find the French woman.

Charlie finds him at the river. Hurley says he's going for a walk. Charlie offers to join, but Hurley says that he needs some "alone time".

Morning comes and Sayid is furious at Jack, thinking that Jack knows something about his stolen notes, or that Jack made Hurley come and steal them. Jack is clueless as to what Sayid is talking about. Then they both realize that Hurley was in on this by himself. They ask Charlie about Hurley's whereabouts and Charlie explains that Hurley said he was going for a walk and that he was acting wierd.

The lightbulb then goes on for everyone.

Jack, Charlie and Sayid venture out to find Hurley. They find him just as Hurley steps on a trigger that's set to send a spiked trap swinging towards him (the same one that hit Sayid a few weeks ago). Hurley manages to escape.

Then they come across a rickety bridge made out of rope and planks of wood. A bridge?? How was a bridge built? Oh well... while questioning the existence of the bridge, Hurley quickly walks across it while viewers at home watch with anticipation. He safely makes it across. Then Charlie tries... he's almost at the end and then SNAP! It breaks and Charlie JUST manages to make it to the other side. Now the group is separated. Jack and Sayid offer to go around via some other route to catch up with them. Although Hurley and Charlie are supposed to stay put... they walk off anyway.

Charlie starts questioning Hurley's motives and odd behaviour. They hear a loud explosion from a distance (I'll explain later). Hurley gets annoyed and then caves in. As he's about to start explaining himself, they hear gunshots being fired... at them! They start running. Hurley trips and falls on his face. Charlie continues running. Hurley gets up and sees the French woman with a rifle pointed at him.

The explosion explained: Sayid and Jack are walking through the jungle. They hear gunshots being fired from a distance and pick up the pace. Jack (or Sayid, can't remember) triggers a trip wire and the French woman's home explodes. They later realize that it was just a diversion because there was nothing in the home to begin with. She had already emptied shop and relocated.

Hurley questions the French woman, who is still aiming her rifle at him. He asks about the numbers. She explains that while her crew was out at sea, they heard the numbers in a distress call and that's what led them to the island. They wanted to investigate. She also said that there's a control tower on the island located on top of the "black rock". Hurley asks the French woman if she believes the numbers to be cursed. She agrees with him. Hurley gives a sigh of relief and then gives her a big bear hug.

Charlie runs into Jack and Sayid and explains that they were being shot at. They agree to all go looking for Hurley. Suddenly, Hurley shows up behind them looking calm and peaceful. He hands over a battery to Jack and tells Sayid that French Chick says "Hi".

The side story in this episode involes Locke and Claire. Locke asks Claire to help him with a project, and it would only require her to use a saw. They work together, and talk a bit. Claire thanks him for helping her take her mind off of stuff. We're all clueless as to what they're building. Near the end, she explains that it's her birthday today. Locke then turns the project upside down and presents a baby cradle and says, "Happy Birthday". Everyone watching the show says, "Awww... so sweet!".

Other things that happened:

- Sawyer whines about the noise of the raft-building while he's keeping watch and trying to read

- Sun gazes at Jin while he works with Michael... we're not sure what she's thinking, but I say she misses him.

I thought maybe I'd blinked and missed whatever the object was with those numbers, but I guess its one of those cliffhangers. I can't believe I've let myself get so hooked on a tv program ;) , but I really do think that this one (so far) is exceptional. I'm really, really sorry that I'm going to have to fight Babymine for Hurley, but he's the neatest guy!! Since I have grandkids older than he is, I think you'll probably win, BabyM!! I was totally unprepared for his background!! That was so awesome. Sometime I'm going to have to learn how to do that spoiler thing I suppose -- I'm almost completely forum illiterate. Can't believe I found you guys, but I'm glad I did.
Okay, next order of business: what are we going to talk about during the six weeks of reruns? Shall we watch every episode again for little subtleties that we missed last time (or the last two times as the case may be :sigh: )??

I was very happy about this scene. I was beginning to think that Locke was becoming to "islandy." Sort of like the french lady.

When Hurley was meeting with his accountant, the accountant told him he owned a box company and in Locke's background, apparently he worked for a box company . . . we're speculating (wink wink) that Locke worked for the box company that Hurley owned. Hmmmm, the plot thickens . . . .:yum:

For those that haven't watched all the episodes and don't want to wait for the reruns the next ...6WEEKS .
TV guide did an article telling the highlights of each episode.
Not as good as seeing the episodes but it would get you caught up.
I didn't get the date of it. (sorry,There were 6 tv guides in the waiting room.)

It is really annoying they can't get episodes done. They make a couple then go to reruns. What is so tough in this series that makes it so hard to get them done?
No great special effects.
I think this would be a good story for reporters to work on. It might be a secret though.
Does it take that long to recharge the mind control transmitter that has us all hooked?

WHAT!? CHURCH CHOIR CAN"T RUN OVER!, "LOST" IS ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL, I was thinking maybe they're just trying to increase their popularity. So more people who haven't been watching from the beginning can get 'caught up' on all the details. Who knows though?

I'm quite unlucky in that my church meets at exactly the same time as Lost is on...7 PM. Darned central time zone...grrr. ;)

I think the hard part about filming has to be the location. Both the Island and the back stories. They can probably film several weeks worth of island footage at once, but each back story is an episode in and of itself. It's like they have twice as much to do as a regular show.

I frequent another board, and one of the members managed to get a decent spoiler. This is HER exact post with all of HER comments and ideas in tow. Nothing has been changed. It's DOUBLE WRAPPED just incase you change your mind right after clicking that show spoiler button :). She makes some great points!

Tagging on after typing out a HUGE spoiler, and then my darn computer locked up and I lost everything... BAH!

Ok, spoiler alert. Scroll down and highlight to read.

They have said the death will take place in the final episode, and that as Claire is giving birth, the person dies. Other spoilers have said that Jack will not be helping Claire with the birth. It is one of the biggest characters, but they do not necessarily mean big as in weight, so you shouldn't think Hurley just because of that, although he can't be ruled out either. They have said it will be a male, he is "much loved" and "swooned" over, that it is NOT a dream, and that it is not Charlie. They have said there will be a catastrophe, and the person who dies has been "betrayed" by someone they considered an "ally".

So, now for my speculations. If we take the main male characters, it can be Jack, Sawyer, Sayid, Boone, Locke, Hurley, Michael, Walt, Charlie, or Jin. It is not Claire's baby, because up until the last episode, it has not been a character all on its own, so it really can't be a "much loved" and "swooned over" character. It also has already been said that it will not be Charlie. Michael doesn't really have any allies, nor does Hurley. Walt and Jin aren't really swooned over, and I wouldn't say that Locke is either. Not to mention, a lot of people ally themselves with Locke, but he doesn't really ally himself with them. I strongly believe it is not Locke. This leaves Jack, Sawyer, Sayid, and Boone. Each have allies (Sawyer is finding an ally in Kate), each is swooned over and much loved (Sawyer's character is not "much loved" although the actor is). I would rule out Jack, because he was supposed to die in the first episode, but they liked him too much and people got mad when they killed him, so they changed it. Also, the actor recently bought a house in Hawaii where they film, so why would he do that if he's not going to be needed in Hawaii much longer? It's not solid proof, but I don't think it will happen. And another thing, there is a spoiler going around that says Kate ends up with Sawyer in the short term, but Jack for the long term. It won't be long term if he dies. Jack, Sayid, and Sawyer serve a purpose, but Boone is not especially great at anything, and is standing in the way of his sister getting her freak on with Sayid. Jack is the leader, Sawyer is a quartermaster of sorts, and Sayid is the science guy and the best shot they have at figuring out what the numbers mean. Kill Sayid, and you lose your opportunity to figure it out, IMO. But Boone? He's digging up the hatch, but that's easily managed by Locke.

And finally, there is a rumor that Claire gives birth in the hatch with Locke and Boone in it... Stay tuned to see if this becomes true, or if it even means

anything. If I was going to play Clue, I'd say it is Boone in the hatch by Locke lying.

Im not sure why it's not showing, I mean, I'm not sure if youre saying it just isnt opening, or that when you open it, you cant see anything.
When you click on "show", some information comes up ie, the person who originally posted, time, person replying to etc. Then you must highlight the large blank space in order to see the words, as the font is in white.
It's a two part thing, once you click on it and it opens, you have to highlight it to read.
Has anyone been able to read it?
