He was looking at the bird book when Brian and his Mom were ignoring him ("You're not listening to me. I said, YOU'RE NOT LISTENING TO ME!")...and then a dead bird flies into their sliding glass doors.bigsierra said:What makes you think Walt has powers?
Interesting about his mom maybe having some kind of powers...hmmm.Arwen Undomiel said:Actually, I was thinking that Walt's mother (Susan?) had powers. She and Michael fight on the phone when she tells him about Brian, and immediately after hanging up he's hit by a car (after her possibly wishing him dead?), then she's able to talk him in to giving up Walt for adoption. Something to think about, anyway!
Did you also notice that it's the same kind of bird that he was looking at in his bird book?HeatherJay said:He was looking at the bird book when Brian and his Mom were ignoring him ("You're not listening to me. Plus, Brian said something about it when he told Michael he didn't want Walt...he said something like, "There's just something about him...strange things happen when he's around." Or something to that effect anyway.
Plus, the polar bears seem to show up whenever he looks at that comic book.
I think it's some sort of telepathy that happens when he's angry or something. But, yeah, he's definitely got some kind of powers.
And I think Locke knows it...remember the conversation when he told Michael not to treat him like a child?

USincognito said:My one and only speculative comment is on Locke's Box. My suspicion - it's an escape hatch. From where? Who knows. To where? Who knows. Well, obviously JJ Abrams knows, but you understand what I'm saying.
