I missed last week, but it didn't matter.
They finally are doing things to survive 6 days after the crash.

The island is not normal? Is this fantasy island? The DR followed a hallucination to his fathers(empty?) coffin And a water fall of fresh water.

They really need to team up and get things going.
Some should transport water, others need to find/make shelter.(more permanent)
All need to think up ways to get food. I don't believe all passingers would shun the orientals. Ecspecially when they are the ones able to gather food.
Then they need to figure out weapons to fight off whatever lives in the woods.

And maybe just move camp into the area of the water. More possibility of food other then fish. Like veggies and small anmals.

I found it amazing that they waited six days to think about doing the things necessary for survival. Personally I would have gotten busy on the very next day. I guess some of them did as well... but not as a group effort. It is a strange little island. I am enjoying it immensely.

So they should become COMMIES :p

What was up with the skeletons/mummies in the previews?
Well, I never thought of it that way, but yes they need to work together first.

Get things started. Small Communist communities work for a while.

Well, actually it would be Socialism wouldn't it?
everyone works together, and everyone shares everything.

When you start with nothing it's the only way to start. Otherwise everyone fights over everything.

I was in San Fransico over the weekend and saw the show I missed.
Now I feel confident that the Island is a type of "LImbo".
The guy that was in the wheelchair and is running all over the island is why I beleive this.

Each of the people have something they need to finish before they go on.
The Pregnant woman, wants to give birth, The DR needs to bury his father or
understand something about his father.
The guy in the wheel chair wanted to do a "walk about", To prove himself.
Still hooked though. Will be watching to night.

Why bother. They assumed that they would be rescued shortly. It took six days torealize that help was not coming right away.

I thought last night's episode was really weak, but my wife disagreed. She felt that a break from the cliff hanging suspense was refreshing and necesary. I missed that "I can't wait to see what happens next week feeling."
It didn't grab my attention like it normally does.

But not every show can be a home run. It's better to have a grand slam then just home run time after time after time.

Love wins out... I thought it quite good. Not as good as the others but still good. Perhaps a person needs a better glimpse into the culture to understand how big the event was in their two lives. As for the rest of the running plot line... that was a bit thin but there still was a miracle line, the drug addict swapping his stash for the guitar. Minor yes... important yes.

I love it completely (can't you tell?) but I do wish we could understand more about the place they are at. Some different plane of existence, or something, I would imagine - you don't normally get polar bears on tropical islands. I actually think the way the survivors are acting is normal. I know if I had just been in a crash, lost in the middle of no place, I would probably be in denial at least a few days and wait on the beach, convincing myself someone would come for me any minute. I would not be jumping up making plans to survive until a few days or weeks later.

The last episode confused me -
what did Sun want Michael to help her with? Her crazy husband? Why did she want to leave Jin? Because of the work he did for her father? I thought it was cool that she has known English all this while and not told a soul, but I wonder what is going to happen with that. Will she join the group, stick with her husband, what? I do like how the show covers the background of the characters and makes them deeper, more understandable. They all have a secret or something they needed to work on, which is perhaps why they are stuck in this place. Also, what happened to the mysterious monster? No word on that for a while.

So who is everyone's favorite character(s)? Mine are first Charlie, then Locke, then Sawyer. I loved Locke in the "Walkabout" episode. Can't miss when they do "The Moth", episode, it's Charlie's background. I have such a thing for Dominic Monaghan :pink:

I'm loving this show. I'm doing my best to resist reading spoilers that are available on other websites. I think the element of the unknown is essential to the enjoyment of this show. I like that each week we get to learn a little bit more about each character. I think that makes us care more about them and care more about what happens to them. There are several characters I want to know more about: the Iraq soldier (did he have some agenda on that plane), the father and son (there's something going on there), and Kate (what crime did she actually commit).
