  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The challenge is to learn to be like the Apostle Paul who said he learned to be content in every situation. Easy to say I know. Christ is all we really need. Finding another person to share our life with is a great blessing but not a prerequisite to happiness. We have to find out purpose and happiness in God alone. Sometimes I think God makes us wait on that. He wants us to define ourselves in Him not in being married, having a family, or whatever. Once we get to that point He might just surprise us and give us that thing we desired. Regardless we have to learn to be happy and content wherever we are at unless in sin. If we say we need X to be happy and we don't have X then we are saying we are not content with where God has us. Your desire is admirable and the fact that you have not achieved it yet despite all your efforts is not something to second guess. Just keep your eyes on Jesus and leave the rest to him. Don't put your life on hold waiting on your dreams. Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. If you don't meet the man with whom to have family then perhaps God wants you to adopt or not have children but maybe work with children. We don't know as God's ways are not always knowable to us. All we can do is trust God, his plan for our life, and live one day at a time for His glory. We have to leave the rest to him in prayer and then go about living. Don't second guess yourself or God's will. Just thank God for where you're at, share your heart but always saying "thy will be done", and then strive to be content. As a child of God he has plans for you and great blessings. Let him show you what they are and don't worry about the rest.

Yes,I do not have any children. I love children. And children love me. Yet,I have been a blessing to other people's children.I was a volunteer math and English tutor in a Ghetto.I have also been a Sunday School teacher, for children,at three different churches. When I was an young man,I was told directly,by several young women,"S......,you are a nice guy. You would make a good husband, and a great father. But,......I have no feelings for you."

Now,as far as one only needing God is concerned, why did God say, in Genesis, that it was not good for the man to be alone?
If all Adam needed was God,why did God create Eve? We need God for our spiritual needs. But we have physical and emotional needs also.
For example,if I have a pizza, and a hungry, homeless man tells me that he is hungry. It would be very cruel for me to say to him,"All you need is God."
Instead,I should give him some of my pizza.

Yes God said that and I'm not saying he will not yet provide but since you don't know when all you can do is keep trying, keep praying, but be content while you wait. Trust him to provide but in his time.

It is hard as I in the same situation as you. Yet in those situations we really need to trust God.

I am kind of in the same situation, but i am 31 male still looking.. I believe if i do not have children on this side of life.. God still can supply my need for children in heaven. We have to remember Jesus did not have any children while he was here on earth, but he will call us sons and daughters in heaven so all things are possible with God.

It is easy for me to believe that God saved Daniel from the lions in the Lion Den.It is easy for me to believe that God saved the three Hebrew boys from the fire furnace. It is easy to believe that God parted the Red Sea for Moses. But, when it comes to praying to God for a wife, who will really love me,and I can really love her also. Then, that is a completely different manner. Because, women are more complex than lions, fire, and large bodies of water. Most importantly, God will not override
anyone's will. Me praying to God to have a woman change her mind about me. Is like me praying to God to give me the ability to read every woman's mind,to see if she will accept me or not. Both are an exercise in futility. :(

When it comes to women,I am like Thomas.I have heard many women say that they want a nice man. Many women have told me that I am a nice man.Until the day,or night,I hear a woman say."S...I want a nice man.You are a nice man,and I want....... you."

I will just not believe. I am sorry. But I have been burnt, disappointed, and lied to,( by my equally yoked christian women) just too many, too many, too many times. :(

It is very obvious, when God said,"Be fruitful and multiply",he was not talking to me. I think a lot of faithful christians, who have saved themselves, and are still saving themselves for marriage, must feel the same way as I do.
