You are? Well, it's been deleted. No, not "just like that". My husband has asked me to trash it, and after a lot of thought, I have realised that at this point it time, its existence is causing more problems for us (because he is upset by it) than it is solving (by cheering me up).
And I don't want to stand in the way of our healing because I'm attached to a thread.
I have copied the whole thing into a word doc - it was 275 pages long, and 125 208 words - so I have a lasting record. I did not delete all your efforts lightly, and acknowledge you for the time and effort you all put into writing to me.
I want to thank each and every person who took the time to write messages of support, encouragement, good counsel and of great import.
Thankyou especially to those who shared their personal experiences of domestic violence - you were all so brave
- your bravery helped me more than I could say.
Thankyou to the professionals who gave their advice - it was well delivered.
Enormous thanks to everyone who sent me encouraging PMs - I KNOW I didn't get back to you all, and I am sorry
- but I read every single one, and they were ALL so helpful! You guys are treasures.
Many thanks also to those kind souls who sent money to us, so we'd be secure. And thanks to Shannon for coordinating that for me. May it come back to you all a hundredfold.
And thankyou, most importantly, for all your prayers. They have made the biggest difference of all.
If anyone has any further questions about this, please take them to PM.
If you'd like to let me know you are praying for us or thinking of us, this is the thread for that now. I'll drop in to say thankyou, and be happy have a chat but only in the most general terms.
If you are ever in Australia, look me up! I'd love to be able to hug you all in person.
Be very blessed in all that you do. With a grateful heart and many hugs and tears,
Caitlin
