Thank you so much for explaining things. I can certainly see why you would want to return to "home' I miss my home terribly, but I don't think I will ever be able to return, it is too expensive to fly there from New Zealand where I now live and also, I have no family there anymore except one aunt, she is wonderful, but when she dies, there would be no one. I do have my memories, and that helps, but still, some days, I admit, I cry over it. God bless you and your family.

He wants to be close to his side of the family so they can be involved in their lives as well as his newborn son. Since dating and marriage it’s been all about her side of the family and being with them. I completely understand where spicoli is coming from but I think the key lies with keeping his new wife and son together and setting a goal together. But given the situation it may be also trying to make his wife cut the cord with her parents and eldest kids. It’s really complicated. We need to pray for all of them.

Well, I consider my son will going through some hard times also because he has a lady in Philippines.
They talked about marrying in Japan and of course I have yet to find the courage to fly. And so once married I may not see them much.
Although personally I hope they stay in US because ....

Just a quick update: I was offered a second job nearly out of thin air today. Also a remote gig just like my regular job, and it pays about twice as much. So if it all comes through then combined I ought to make plenty for us to live well, especially money will go farther there than in any of the other places I've lived the past few years.

That's so wonderful.
