Ok, so i went to this church for a while, partly because a girl invited me and partly because i needed to find a new church to go to, but thats not important, anyways i started to go for a while and it was nice, but then everything changed
anyways the thing about this is i heard that the priest thought that i was a bad kid and what not because of the music i listen to. Now the music would consist of Korn, linkin park, crazy town, rammstein, static x, system of a down, etc
i was just wondering if it is spiritually bad to listen to this music or was the priest just overreacting...i am just a tad bit confused

so anyways any help/thoughts would be greatly appreciated thanks to all who respond later
It probably the priest's opinion - is he an old man?
I do not think any music is inherently evil - unless of course it has a satanic intent - but whats evil is what it can do to you (I'm not implying that in your scenario it makes you evil - I'm speaking generally). Read Mark 7:1-23, and think about it. Jesus addresses this issue with food, but I think it can be applied to music as well. I'll quote a little bit of that passage, just think of the word food being replaced by the word music:
Again Jesus called the crowd to him and said, "Listen to me, everyone, and understand this.
Nothing outside a man can make him 'unclean' by going into him. Rather, it is what comes out of a man that makes him 'unclean.' "
After he had left the crowd and entered the house, his disciples asked him about this parable. "Are you so dull?" he asked. "Don't you see that nothing that enters a man from the outside can make him 'unclean'? For it doesn't go into his heart but into his stomach, and then out of his body." (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods "clean.")
He went on: "
What comes out of a man is what makes him 'unclean.' For from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and make a man 'unclean.'
So what you should think about is how is this music affecting you. Is it making your life "clean" or "unclean"?
Some advice: when you choose your church, there might be people there who have this or that opinion of you - don't let that affect your decision of which church is right for you. Go to the one that brings you closer to Christ and preaches the Truth. Truth is often hard to discern, but do your best.
