Hi--I am a newbie here. I do not attend a church as i have had some very unpleasent expierences but I do go once in a while and lately the LORD has been nudging me to find some Christian friends. Maybe I demand too much of people but even when I was faithful in church attendance and service I felt left out socially. This is a small rural area and my husbband and myself are not from here even though we have now lived here over 20 years and the churches here are very family oriented. So i hope to make some friends here

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

WElcome Didymus, I am new to this forum myself. I am already enjoying the response to a question I posted here . I am still exploring the site and all the features it offers. I live a couple of states away from you and attend a small church also. I am sure you will find the Christian companionship you seek right here.

i can agree that Christian companionship is very strong online here at christianforums.com and i have been really blessed to participate... welcome to the forum... and i am very pleased to meet more and more brothers and sisters in Christ.
I am not coming from a big forum background... but i have to say the best way i have found to participate and become comfortable is to *begin posting replies* and keep a open welcome perspective in Love!!!
