- If there are different words as dream and vision are different, when we look at the context, we realize that both mix regularly so it is difficult to know what is what or who is who!



- Now there is another point to think about!



- It is the difference between what is from man and what is from God!



- When a man dreams, he usually can’t remember precisely what happened and he forgets because a dream doesn’t last long!



- Now the dreams in the book of Daniel are visions the king can perfectly remember and describe with details!



- Moreover, When God transmits the “dream” and its interpretation it is definitely a vision, Daniel is conscious!

26) Looking for Daniel

Daniel 4

Nebuchadnezzar has another vision but nobody can give the interpretation. But Daniel is alarmed for a moment and his thoughts begin to frighten him. The vision is about the king who has become powerful. But because of his pride he will become like a beast eating grass. And after a time he will recover his mind and his power. So Daniel tells the king to change of attitude and turn away from sin. But he doesn’t change anything so twelve months later he becomes mad and starts to behave like an animal eating grass.

- Nebuchadnezzar is warned by God through visions but he doesn’t care so he pays the price!

- It was the same with the Israelites!​

- It is the same with humanity!

- And humanity doesn’t care!

- Thus people will have to pay the price when God strikes humanity!

- It will be a shock!

- But the majority never understands!

- It’s always the same!

- So why lamenting!

- When someone doesn’t listen and pays the price even with death, that’s life!

- There is no need to be sad!

- People are adults and thus they make a choice!

- And the way we live shows what we choose!

- Then we can’t say I didn’t know!

27) Looking for Daniel

Daniel 5

We are told about king Belshazzar who is having a great feast and he is drunk and he tells to bring the vessels taken by his father Nebuchadnezzar from the temple of Jerusalem. And they drink in it which is definitely an offense to God. Then a man’s hand begins writing on the plaster of the wall and everybody can see it. Then the king turns pale and his thoughts terrify him and his hips shake and his knees begin to knock together. The man who can make the interpretation of the words written on the wall will receive many gifts and will become the third figure of Babylon. But nobody can make the interpretation. So the king speaks about Daniel who is brought in before the king. Daniel will make the interpretation but he doesn’t care about the king’s gifts. He first speaks about his father who was warned by God and didn’t change of attitude. And it is the same with king Belshazzar. And they used the vessels from the temple of Jerusalem when it is sacred. As a consequence, Babylon will fall in the hands of the Medes and the Persians. And the very night of the feast Belshazzar is killed and Darius the Mede receives the kingdom when he is 62.

- Once again a good example we may try to remember as a warning!

- Those who don’t care about God will pay the price!

- Belshazzar didn’t listen and was killed!

- We may remember the meaning of Tekel, that is “you have been weighed in the balances and found lacking.”!

- It can’t be clearer even if human beings don’t want to listen!

- Thus everyone will be weigh in the balances!

- Let’s also remember how Daniel reacted!

- He didn’t care about privileges!

- He just wanted to serve God faithfully!

Stunning prophecy falling true with Israel and her people. A key trigger for events to move forward. The same fate has consumed(even obsessed) me. How exciting can it get. Mind blowing. The impressive part is that such a 'tiny sun parched country' has reached such a high level of success, power and influence. As if God is mimicking his theme that the humble and meek and weak and sickly will inherit The Kingdom of God. Ever since 1948 superior forces(bullies) have fallen at Israel's door(s) with little effort, imagine the much larger future attacks on Israel failing. Israel even continues to befuddle and aggravate the UN at will right in front of the entire world. HEY PEOPLE, MIRACLES ARE HAPPENING RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR VERY EYES ! Let those that have eyes see and those w....hear.

Interesting that the angel sent after Joshua died may have been incarnate Jesus.

Hopefully there will be some future awakening before the times of Jacob's troubles begin, Jeremiah 30:7.

In 586 BC the Babylonian military, led by King Nebuchadnezzar, succeeded in breaking a two-year-long siege and destroyed much of the city of Jerusalem; her walls, palaces, and most devastatingly, the Temple of Solomon.

“He burned the Lord’s temple, the king’s palace, and all the houses of Jerusalem; he burned down all the great houses.”

When Judah rebelled once again under King Zedekiah, Nebuchadnezzar must not have been feeling very charitable. The Bible mentions that the siege lasted two years. This military maneuver sees the invading army set up camp all around the target city, cutting off supply lines, and killing or taking prisoner anyone who would try to come or go.

A sincere and/or real fear of God must have never existed in the hearts of most of those living in Jerusalem.
Destroyed twice, besieged 23 times, attacked 52 times, captured/recaptured 44 times ? Consider present status.
Lack of fear of the Lord is and has been man's shortcoming since his creation beginning in the Garden of Eden.
Fear is a powerful emotion and critical to understanding scripture and understanding and maintaining obedience.

Old Testament

Interesting point. As the fear mentioned by God is seriously positive fear.

Had Adam and Eve had the fear of the Lord this world would be a very different world ! One day the earth will be restored back to the Edenic world and the lamb will sleep with the lion and we will not have to survive by the sweat of our brow.

Interesting, God told Daniel not to fear because God knew that Daniel had his heart dedicated to understanding and humility. It seems that God had a very special relationship and great trust in Daniel. Likewise, Daniel had great faith and trust in God.

Ha, I must maintain a fear of the Lord to maintain a good standing with the Lord. Rebellion is such a powerful curse.
