Look Whose Coming Down The Mountain

I know I mentioned this vision before, but never got a good explanation for it, so here it goes again.

I was praising the Lord at the church on day. While in a prayful attitute, I saw a huge castle on top of a mountain. Coming down crooked road, were hundreds of men and women. They did not have any real expression on their faces but they walked......calmly down the road.

The vision was absence of color. Basically, a black and white vision.

What made me believe this was a true vision was when i opened my eyes, i was where i was when i had the vision. I closed my eyes again, the vision continued where it left off. The people walking down the road walked passed me on my right side.

Each person had distinct features. Not one look like the other.

I said to myself, " If this is heaven, why isnt it in color. Why isn't everyone wearing white? Why are they walking down the road instead of up?

Any Ideas? please help me with this one.

I think you are asking yourself some very good questions. All symbols have a positive and a negative symbolism. Castles can represent strongholds (negative) or a safe haven...or a place where one is protected from outside influences (the positive side).

A mountain top to a Christian is the highest earthly place to be closest to God (Moses and many other scriptures point to this same symbolism for mountain tops). We also speak of mountaintop experiences with God, as being wonderful intimate spiritual times with Him that leaves us forever changed.

So what you have here may be a neutral or depressed atmosphere (black and white) in this vision (while you are at church) observing people coming down from that godly safe place and going back to their earthly lives while displaying no joy and no expression. In my opinion, God may have been showing you and asking you to interceed for your church family (or maybe this was just for you personally) because they are not taking the wonder and power of the Holy Spirit (along with all of His fruits) that they are receiving and enjoying in church back down the mountain and into their daily earthly lives. They are not witnessing or reflecting what they have seen in Christ.....and there can be many reasons for that.

I concur with the above that the symbolism needs to be reflected on.

However, when I interpret something, I do so by type.

You had an apparition (which is a nightmare version of a vision), which I believe was in answer to a question you asked about "what you need to know" in order to gain "Wisdom".

Thus, you saw the apparition which stirred you to life (which Wisdom gives us), being stirred because you desire life, which these people did not have (if they had it they would have expressed it) and you did this while you retained the ability to stay on your own mountain top (conciousness in Christ).

Now, discerning the difference between life and non-life, as on a mountaintop, you are able to share Wisdom, about the nature of the "Christian" life (I'm looking forward to hearing it!).

The dream is not hard to see, the Lord put me on that path many years ago..
The castle(temple) is the Kingdom of God, and true, the people are walking or being led away from what they should be seeking..

For Jesus said seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all His Righteousness and all these things will be added on..

The black and white color is the Lord is showing this is simply black and white, "Light or darkness" the clothes showing their walking in the natural(flesh)..

Rom 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

I heard variation of interpretations and this one seems to made the most sense. Some of people seems to over spiritualized vision or they made it sound more mysterious. Truth of the matter is that the people in the vision were walking away, possibly meaning that they preferred to stay In the flesh

What I don't understand is why it looked kind of gloomy. Nothing seemed to look heaven bound in the vision.

If they were walking "away" from the mountain top (which represents walking away from God) then their heavy hearts and hopelessness returns as they descend. They are descending back into unbelief. They are easily tossed to and fro in this world, because their faith has no holding power....no "roots".

(Luke 8:4-15)" While a large crowd was gathering and people were coming to Jesus from town after town, he told this parable: 5 “A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds ate it up. 6 Some fell on rocky ground, and when it came up, the plants withered because they had no moisture. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up with it and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown.” When he said this, he called out, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”

Very true..

The gloominess could be seen as a type of dusk, (not being fully in the light, nor being fully in the darkness) gray area.. That would be a place of lukewarmness, neither hot nor cold.. This would also align with what humblewatchman has written..

You were most likely not supposed to "act" on it, but instead pray for them. If you were supposed to "act on it" and didn't, then someone else was sent. He gets things done...even when we say no, or don't deliver the message.

Sometimes He gives visions that are for years later. Since you now know what it means, be observant and aware of His possible uses for it "now"...there maybe someone reading your post, who has seen this same vision, and who will partner with you in prayer... OR your post may inspire someone to have a less plastic relationship with the Lord...you may have unknowingly inspired a deeper choice in someone's heart. Time will tell.....Have no regrets.

I think the vision was given more to help in your understanding.. Many, but not all, are walking in the flesh(self willed) and not following after the Spirit.

Take a look at these verses:

Jhn 13:35 By this shall all [men] know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

1Jo 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

Rom 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

1Cr 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these [is] charity.

What is charity, but Love put into action.. It is this love put into action that makes a path to hope and that love plus hope that makes a path to faith..

We are called to a walk of love.. It's by the love God has given us by His Holy Spirit that we know we are born of God..

This is what the Lord was showing you in your dream, because this is what He had shown me years ago in much the same way.. The church doesn't stand in God's love and very little love is seen from the pulpit..
