This to me is the most contriversal scripture in the Bible, many translations leave out v. 7 except the KJV.
1 John 5:6. This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
7. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

Ah, Dr. Taylor, who translated the Living Bible for his daughter, because he didn't trust all those trickey scribes and their scrolls. But those serpents did manage to take out Dr. Taylor's observation from the New Living Translation It's so simple, and I believe the most important set of verses in the Bible. So feast your eyes, because if you don't have an old Living Bible, this may be the last time you'll see it.
1 John 5:5. But who could possibly fight and win this battle except by believing that Jesus is truly the Son of God?
6. And we know he is, because God said so with a voice from heaven when Jesus was baptized, and again as he was facing death --yes, not only at his baptism but also as he faced death. And the Holy Spirit, forever truthful, says it too. So we have these three witnesses: the voice of the Holy Spirit in our hearts, the voice from heaven at Christ's baptism, and the voice before he died. And they all say the same thing: that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
9. We believe men who witness in our courts, and so surely we can believe whatever God declares. And God declares that Jesus is his Son.
10. All who believe this know in their hearts that it is true. If anyone doesn't believe this, he is actually calling God a liar, because he doesn't believe what God has said about his Son.
11. And what is it that God has said? That he has given us eternal life, and that this life is in his Son.
12. So whoever has God's Son has life; whoever does not have his Son, does not have life.
13. I have written this to you who believe in the Son of God so that you may know you have eternal life.
14. And we are sure of this, that he will listen to us whenever we ask him for anything in line with his will.
15. And if we really know he is listening when we talk to him and make our requests, then we can be sure that he will answer us.
THREE TIMES GOD SPEAKS TO JESUS AND TO MEN, TWICE HE DECLARES HIM HIS SON.
16. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
17. And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Matthew 17:5. While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
6. And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.
7. And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.
9. And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.
27. Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
28. Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
29. The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.
30. Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.
31. Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
When Jesus prayed, His custom was to look up,
19. And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
34. And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.
40. Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?
41. Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
42. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
43. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
44. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
Stephens throne room view,
55. But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
56. And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.
(This throws off those oneness, Jesus only blasphemers who honour not the Father.)
I HAD A GREAT REVELATION THE OTHER DAY THOUGH THE LORD HAD BEEN TRYING TO TEACH ME IT FOR 20 YEARS.
It was basically stay in a constant mode of worshipping Him, looking up constantly, realizing his presence is always above us and in us. I picture the throne above, our Father and redeemer there and I'm good for the moment. If I see a beautiful woman, I look up and see the one that made it. If pride or disdain pokes at me, I look up and see He who has forgiven me of all filth. When I see someone in a wheelchair and doubts flood my mind I look up and see Him who took 40 lashes so this one could be free, and I go up and heal them. (Or did I dream it?) When despair over bills flood over me, I look up at He who made the heavens and the Earth and say "Charge it!"
You get the idea, but the devil and earthly distractions are always vieing for my attention.
37. And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
38. Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue:
39. And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the Lord, and do them and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:
40. That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.
Looking to God and having great success is exemplified on the first water skiing epedition.
46. And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.
47. And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land.
48. And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.
49. But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:
50. For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
51. And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.
Mathew shows a rock floating, (Peter = rock, get it?)
24. But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.
25. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
26. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
27. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
28. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
29. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
30. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
31. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
32. And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.
33. Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.
He took his eyes off of Jesus and focused on the bad conditions as though walking on water wasn't bad enough. Keep looking to the Lord and don't notice the great thing he asks you to do or the circumstances that arise around you. Good thing there was no spring break beach party over on the shore.
But today we can't see Jesus walking around in the midst of our problems as though he wasn't interested and was just passing by. So the way we keep our Eyes on him is through a worshipful eye to the Heavens. Notice He is wondering close enough as though He were waiting for us to invite Him to help. A constant state of worship pushes away thoughts of doubting God and blaspheme.
37. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
38. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
39. And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
40. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
41. And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
Another example,
28. And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.
29. But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
IT'S A SPIRITUAL GAME OF HIDE AND SEEK, WITH EVERYMAN'S SOUL IN THE BALANCE, ETERNAL DEATH ON ONE SIDE AND ETERNAL LIFE ON THE OTHER,
15. Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.
22. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
5. But unto the place which the Lord your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come:
7. Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.
8. I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause:
10. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee
4. The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
2. The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
26. The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the Lord that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.
