Hair that is--this includes guys as well.
Is your hair short, long or medium.

How did you keep it prior to turning 50?
When I was a small-(er than now) girl,
I was forced to have hair, cut (2-in) short like a boy  when
all the other little girls were allowed *braids*.
I begged for this: "No!!!" was their stupid answer.

In hi-school, I let it grow :) and now,
it's within 2-inches of my waist, and I can have Braids  when I want.

Thankyou Jim :)
Yes--my grandaughter number 1 looks a lot like me and so do my daughter and I.

Speaking of hair--she just went and did the dye it red thing--doesnt even look red--it looks like clown burnt red--we are all brunettes but they all including my daughter keep thinking they get some kind of blondish red hair buying the over the counter stuff.

I went through that stage --so when she has to cut off her longer hair cause she has ruined it--well then maybe she will learn.

granddaughter number 2 has hair to her waist--its beautiful.

SK8--I went through the same thing--I use to cry when taken to the beauty shop as they razored my hair like a boy and my mom thought it was cute! ugggg.

I do like mine now--the natural curk and wave--just wash and comb and off I go :)

I think bald guys look good too!

I would love long hair but mine is very fine, so I have to keep it short otherwise it would look lanky. I give my CF character long hair instead (lol), and pray that God will thicken my real hair, as I have a condition which affects its growth, and would love to be able to choose how I style it.

I have a friend with a condition that causes her hair to be really thin and it simply does not grow.
In fact now--she is experiencing female balding.

Anyone else experience female balding?

I'm definitely experiencing a thinning of my hair! It can be a sign of thyroid deficiency. I was tested and found my thyroid was not working well. I have been on the meds for quite awhile but to no avail (hair thickness wise). But hair thinness also runs in my family. Oh well, that's the way it goes I guess! ha!

Never thought about the Thyroid--that little gland can mess up so many things.

My hair seems to get thicker as I age and more and more grey.
I dont like how thick its getting which is another reason to cut it.
I do believe generally gray hair is thicker than regular hair. Jan

How cool to see how ya'll look! My hair also seems to be getting thicker, but I keep it short. And, since I've always been blonde, I just keep it dyed Light Ash Blond over the counter and it turns out several different colors because of all the grey. Also, my hair is so much healthier after I've colored it. My avitar was taken a couple of yrs ago. It is shorter now. So easy to just get up, wash and dry. Thanx for sharing pics.

HEE HEE HEE, Jim

I think the reason hair seems to get thicker when it greys is because the strands are stiffer. Every pulled one out to see how stiff it is, maybe also not as fine as the other ones. I just have my hair dresser razor cut my hair. It really takes the weight off and thins it out too. Bonnie
