  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hey everyone, I need some advice!

I have a "guy/boy friend" who already lives 4 hours away. But he is also a paramedic and this job has him working 7 hours away (8days a week).

So not only is there a distance between us, but there is also that time difference as well. Lets say in the future we are brought together, then even then he would be 7 hours away for 8 days at a time.

I was just wondering if anyone else has dealt with a long distance relationship? Does anyone have any sucess stories that could cheer me up?

My fh and I are in a LDR. I see him for 3 days about every 11 days. Is it tough? You betcha! Worth it? I'll let you know in about 3 yrs after we are married! ;)
But sure. It can work with God FOR God and if you both work hard at it. Communication is a sooooo vital in a LDR.

Well....my SO and I were a country apart, with him in Sask and me in California- a hefty 36 hours or so apart- what I wouldn't have given to have him even 11 hours away-lol---im in Canada at the moment with him, but I will be heading back home in a few weeks- and we'll just go from there-we met online on a different christian site- that's one thing about the net, you are exposed to people literally a world away, and falling in love with someone like that can certainly pose a whole new set of problems- ldr's are tough at best- but they can work---however, eventually im sure you two would want to be together, and the only way to do that....is for someone to pack up and move, like blue did up there- otherwise, it just stays at a distance-it's all about life changes-lol.

look at your own plam now my dear Lil Miss...can you see anything in it? no you will not see anything expect your own hand and your own plam. But when you put your plam to your chest, what do you feel??? peace and love?

as i always said, as long as he in your heart and you in his heart then nothing will be impossible.

just think whether are you willing to accept that he need to spend more times on his jobs then you?
