Dunno, I dated a foreign exchange student for a few months, and was assuming I'd have to deal with a very long distance relationship, but we broke up before she had to go back to Spain...

I don't think most people can handle those type of relationships, to be honest.

i think it all depends on who you are talking about.
Long distance relationships , when you are a teen, are hard. It takes time, money, patience, and commitment. And when you really think about it, its hard to find teens that have all of those, and it makes it harder on the relationship aspect if you dont have one of those. Money of course is an optional thing i guess but long distance calls and letters can add up after a while.
On the other hand though, teens who do have all of those qualities can make it work. Ive seen it done before and I was one of the people who had doubts but I am now a believer. I, myself, am currently thinking about having a long distance relationship. Right now we are going to remain friends because we know what it takes to be in a relationship and we are just not at that road yet. And who knows, we may never get to that road but its the friendship part now that will make us or break us.
