i'm married and lonely... don't know what to say

sorry to hear that. my 19 months of marriage were the loneliest months of my life as well. it's a long story but i didn't get out....he forced me out. today though, i'm glad.

Okay, I'm sure it's been covered before but the truth is I am impatient to search and my system is REALLY slow, so here I am

I have been married and divorced. I have failed. I believe marriages can work, I don't believe it can work for me.

I don't have anything social going on at all. I just work and take care of my kids.
My church is quite small and so is my budget.

How-HOW-do I get some kind of social interaction???

Walk around your neighborhood and say hi to everyone you meet, ask them about the weather...it starts in your hood sometimes!

Volunteer at your local hospital or hospice...sick people are usually lonely people too! Or, volunteer at your local SPCA or Humane Society for animals who are also lonely.

Go to a local coffee shop with a newspaper, sit there, and greet everyone that comes through the door with a big hello and chat them up...you never know who you will meet this way.

See if there is area book clubs, cooking clubs, etc. for you to join, based on your hobbies.

This is what worked for me when I used to live in small town America, and now I live near a city where people think you are wierd if you are friendly. But, since you said your church is small, I am thinking that you live in a smaller area and this can work for you!
