  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Well it is not too good to
Be alone all the time as you do
Need company of family members
And friends as well to keep you going.
Life is too short.
very much so. They keep up in check with reality. if we are so alone all the time...reality tends to began to shift in odd ways. We see enemies in friends, and demons in every shadow.

Well, I'm finished with the opera for now. Sunday we begin rehearsals for Handel's "Messiah", to be sung in late Nov. in 3 cities here. One saving grace - I won't have to learn a foreign language!!

Futuredoc, join the club. In a way, I second what Sindyan said, re: being a "Nazi-style" dictator of a dr. I don't say this condescendingly, either (nor to insult you).

After 30 yrs. of not being believed about being on the wrong Rx, I check everything and question the drs. I would encourage you to develop good listening skills to listen to what your patients/clients AREN'T telling you. This seems odd, but there's a lot of truth in this.

Ask God to go with you everywhere and you'll be fine! :)

I live by myself. I just moved out about 8 months ago. I come from a family of 6. When I first moved out, I was SO lonely. I was depressed. Even though I accepted Christ after I left, I was still lonely because of the simple fact I rejected the presence of God.

I accept the presence now, and I am so far from lonely. Pray to God like he is your father, and you are a kid. He will fill your heart with desire, love, and happiness. You will no longer suffer from lonliness.

You must pray! I found that the longer I pray, the better I feel.

I am single. I love animals so I have a couple dopgs and 3 cats. I walk allot around. I live with my Grandpa we do suit each other and we have space for each other.

I do feel lonely at times but i try to distract myself by reading, going to church and try to focus on every day. I for me cannot handle a date i have so many issues to work on for now emotionally.

It is hard allot but only Jesus can reach my needs for now.

How do you deal with loneliness? Not really from not having a SO (although I've been there) but also from not having any/many friends. It's just something I've been dealing with for awhile.:(
Me too...I don't know, really. But I know that the place where I was when I had lots of friends wasn't where I am meant to be now that I have God in my life. So I just look at this as a transitory period while I am moulded into the person I am meant to be.

LOL That didn't answer your question at all, did it?

I understand what you're saying. :) God can def. use loneliness to draw you closer to Him and mold you into the person He wants you to be.

I have to say I am not dealing with my loneliness very well at all. My kids are almost grown and I am now taking care of my elderly mother. I have no one to help me carry the load. You want the truth. I just want to die now, I am so tired of dragging on...

Ahhh i'm sorry that your going through.

Have you tired getting some community support for your mother? i know there are some home health care programs that Medicare will pay for to assist you in that area of life.

Regarding the person who said when they moved out...I still live with my parents but I'm afraid that if I move out I will be so lonely that I will want to die (sorry if that sounds absurd)

But I don't think I'm any less lonely now. I graduated from college rather later than some (at 25 almost) but never got a job that would help me move out; I got only a couple temporary-contract jobs (they were full time but were not permanent) and I am looking for a permanent one now but have been struggling for well over 6 months (the job market where I am at is terrible; but the whole state - of Michigan - is pretty bad in that department). The only reason I want to move out is so that I can attend church and practice Christianity openly. My family doesn't know I'm Christian; I'm terrified of them knowing; I mean the guilt trips and crying/fights that would ensue, I do not look forward to. I'd rather not be living at home with my parents when they find out I'm a Christian...

Sorry if I said too much, that is why I am lonely right now...I need some fellowship and I want to get involved in church (still deciding what church to attend though, that is a process for me) and be more active as a Christian but it is too isolating for me at this point in my life right now.

I don't feel like writing more about this right now. Just wanna get this off my chest, thanks.
