  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

BBC London often has a view that no one here in the USA gives... I used to listen to them on short wave, that and VOA... then coupled with the local news, you could probably find the truth

If popular vote mattered, we'd have had 8 amazing years under Al Gore.

Regardless of whether I liked Gore or not, if the majority wanted him as president, then he should have been president.

I ended up voting for Romney. I wanted to go Gary Johnson just so he could get hit his 5% target to get some debate real-estate the next time around...but I felt it was more important to get Obama out of office this time around. I'll save my Constitution party/Libertarian party support for next time around.

Looking at the reporting counties in OH, most of those still out are Republican heavy :D

The three big cities in Ohio (Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati) are all that matters. The rural counties always go Republican. George W only won Ohio in 2000 because he won Cincinnati. Obama right now is leading in all three of the big cities, which is what he needs. Columbus and Cleveland always go Democrat.

Regardless of whether I liked Gore or not, if the majority wanted him as president, then he should have been president.

I completely agree

The electoral college sucks. Even though I live in Ohio and my vote matters...I want everyone else's vote to matter as well.
