  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Tears in scripture play a unique role in a spiritual breakthrough. In Psalm 126 it has a deeper meaning. Here we discover that the planting of seeds accompanied by a spirit of brokenness will not only bring a spiritual harvest of results but will leave the sewer with a spirit of rejoicing in the process They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves
This passage along with numerous others in scripture regarding a spirit of brokenness, pictures a variety of purposes and functions related to what might be termed "the ministry of tears" a ministry Charles H. Spurgeon defined as "liquid prayer

Well. let's see.......ummmm....how many of your posts have I read in my life....hmmmm. Oh well , some have not meant much to me personally: some have been anointed, to say the least: some I have agreed with, and some I have not. So many of them have blessed me in a very special way. Some have moved me and touched me deeply.

But this one surprised me a little. These scriptures are very meaningful to me and Charles Spurgeon is a personal hero of mine.

The application of the Scriptures in Psalms are those used in soul winning. And I am a man of great love, though my love is seldom understood. Often my love is "tough love", but it is love nonetheless.

Anyone who has a heart filled with love is well aquainted with tears. Love and tears go together like heat and warmth.

Thanks for sharing this with others. I pray it will touch them and they will give some thought to the ministry of tears.
