Like everything else, it's all in the way you use them. Just because something CAN be done with them doesn't mean that it's right to do so. Plus, blank CDs serve far more purpose than simply copying music cds on to.

I'm a musician, not a zealot. Big difference there, mate. I won't want people stealing my music either. It's part of how musicians make a living so they can continue to make music and tour.

No, touring is how musicians make a living, it's been a long while since Napster's debut, and everyone seems to be doing okay. If my favourite singer can only by three cars, it won't break my heart.

Touring is only part of how a musician makes money, and you're forgetting that only a small percentage of musicians reach super stardom where they are making millions. Plus, touring has become more and more expensive with the gas price raising over the years, which means that people are making a lot less money.
