  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Because you'll have little furniture or because you have some sort of floor fetish? ;)

(When we first got married, all we had in the whole apartment was a sofa bed and a TV.)

My cousin said that most lingerie just lands on the floor.

LOL ... well, Chris just got the bed delivered today--he's actually just in the process of unpacking the apartment. We have furniture, though--mostly second-hand except the bed and some new stuff from Ikea.

It's a sin if you fall into temptation. For example, you walk into VS, to browse lingerie, your wife in mind. If, however, you start looking at the salesgirls and start dressing...undressing them and picturing them in the lingerie, that is definately a sin. Make sure you have your wedding ring on, so if any other Christians are in VS and are not quick to judge, they'll understand...most likely. Besides, if it was a sin to be in Victoria Secret, the other Christian shouldn't either.

Phil,

It's potentially the same thing anywhere else......

I walk into my office, with my work in mind. But if however, I then I start looking at all the women staff "and start dressing...undressing them and picturing them in the lingerie, that is definitely a sin."

Well, yeah.

Honoring Intimates has some great options for lingerie with ZERO nudity.

I see no sin in lingerie. It doesn’t do anything much for me, but to each his/her own. To me it’s like getting excited about the wrapping paper on a gift. It’s whats inside I like and I think God deserves an attaboy on the female body “as is”.
On a serious note, I think people put to much emphasis on making rules out of scripture and often miss the point. Read scripture for yourself and trust God to lead you in what’s not specifically mentioned. Otherwise as long as it’s mutual (between the marriage participants) and involves only the marriage participants, I’d say it’s good. God made sex for married couples and it’s to be enjoyed.
