  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm telling you, unless there are other things in the Bible that say the OC is obsolete, it is still in effect.

This whole idea of the OC being obsolete is a complete fabrication.

Read this...

Acts 15:5-11 (NIV)
Then some of the believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees stood up and said, “The Gentiles must be circumcised and required to keep the law of Moses.”

The apostles and elders met to consider this question. After much discussion, Peter got up and addressed them: “Brothers, you know that some time ago God made a choice among you that the Gentiles might hear from my lips the message of the gospel and believe. God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us. He did not discriminate between us and them, for he purified their hearts by faith. Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of Gentiles a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors have been able to bear? No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.”

This does NOT say "he purified their hearts by faith and keeping the law".

The law is described as "a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors have been able to bear".

Salvation is by faith and nothing more.

Jesus saved us from the curse of sin and gave us a broader road in which to reach Heaven.

From your statement "He gave us a broader road", it may be logically derived that there was a narrower road (by which I presume you mean keeping the law). This is absolutely false.

John 14:6 (NKJV)
...I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

That applies even to the Old Testament saints. The law never saved anyone.
