There was a young lady named Bright
Who could travel much faster than light
She set out one day
In a relative way
And came back the previous night!

And I will surely do my part
A limerick by sir Stogus
Is sure to be truly bogus
At the grocery store you use a cart.

That would do anything but bore 'em
I found it one day,
Now I can't go away
Though sometimes it lacks much decorum

But a poet I am not one
I tried my best to to rhyme

I think it is a great idea to get some poetry threads started. There will be some great work here. I hope you don't mind my sillyness, but I could not resist.

I remember having to do limericks in school.

I was never very good at it.

Lambslove, StogusMaximus, you guys are great at this! (Maybe my talents lie elsewhere??)

Okay bear with me here, this is my first try at a limerick.


There once was a sleepy cat
who decided to nap on a mat.
So bad was his aim,
that it put him to shame.
For t'was on the dog that he sat!

But promised not to tell
I don't know where to start
But it will be from my heart
(whispers) I ate the last cookie!!!

They got the best laugh,
now they set in a glass
