  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Like a Fire!
Thursday February 3, 2011

"9But if I say, “I will not mention him
or speak any more in his name,”
his word is in my heart like a fire,
a fire shut up in my bones.
I am weary of holding it in;
indeed, I cannot." (Jer 20:9)

I just a chapter out of the book "Living Water" which is where I ran across this verse! Awesome! This chapter discusses suffering for the Gospel/ persecution as producing boldness which "causes the kingdom of God to be advanced and the Devil's plans to be thwarted." Amen!

‎"9because a great door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many who oppose me." (1 Cor 16:9)

There seems to be a direct correlation between oppostion and effective work of God, so be encouraged if you are persecuted for serving the Lord!

‎"1Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin." (1 Pet 4:1)

‎"11“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." (Matt 5:11-12)
