I just woke up from this dream yet again, and I wanted to type it here for you before I forgot to mention it.

This is a dream I have had before in the past and each time is the exact same and lasts the same amount of time.

I am driving in my car, and suddenly lose control of the vehicle. There doesn't seem to be any kind of mechanical malfunctions, but my body is completely paralyzed. All I can do is sit back and watch myself run in to something. It's usually a tree. I can feel everything, and usually awake as my car smashes in to the object and I die because I can feel it, but I awake just in time.

The other thing is that I am usually talking with someone while this happens. It's either a person in the car with me, or someone on the cell phone. I think what I say is, "This is my end...I love you."

Any idea what this means? That's all there is to this dream. Thanks so much!

i had three dreams. the first dream i cant seem to remember right now. the second dream, i was talking to a woman from the church i was attending. i had blood all over me. this seemed to annoy her. the third dream i lost control of my car and it went flying through the air then through thick brush and into a lake or river of water. i made it out of the car ok and climbed up the bank. i couldnt go any further, my back was to the dirt wall of the bank and the water was all in front of me. i saw a man and his son. they had fishing poles. i told them what happened and the man told me i could get back to town by going down the road behind him where he came from. they continued on their way. when i got to town some people from churh picked me up. they were not friendly. i felt very lost and lonely. these dreams are extremely perplexing to me. they were not like ordinary dreams. i had a sense at the time that i was surrounded by apathy. it was like no one cared about me and i was all alone. i still feel that way. any ideas?

Me too HumbleBee...These are pictures I saw in a dream sequence this morning...I tried to put them in order...first to last.

I see the surface of a cloud as one sees the surface of water. I can see the "fin" of a circling shark, piercing thru the cloud.

I see a small fish tank, it has a lot of fish but not too many. Some fish are sick and dying...someone has fiddled with the water heater and the water is too warm.

I see a big hand (mine?) feeding the fish ridiculously big strips of food the fish could never eat.

I feel I am in the bowels of a big building...the halls and rooms are narrow, but very plush and padded, quiet. I see my mother, she says she has been to the Dr. who gave her some Pepcid and her stomach feels better. (I have been thinking of taking some Pepcid, keep forgetting)

I think this is the order of scenes: next "we" people are outside the padded building, on a ramp or walk way...facing east (?) I lookp up and see a huge cloud...it is formed and lit up, lightening is flashing from it. The mountains on the left turn to face it.
I see something off to the right in the distance but can't remember what it was.

I "know" the white cloud is the glory of the Lord...even the mountains turn to face Him...His power... IS POWER. I think it is His power to save and nobody can stop Him. (Thank You Lord!)

Then we all turn (?) around and go back to the padded building...but need to use the restroom...it is crowded with people...it is padded and plush.

My husband and second son are there...I keep telling them it is a ladies restroom...ladies only...but they stay in there.

I need to "go" but women keep getting ahead of me...seems like forever.

Then I am back in a narrow hall way...no real direction to go, but it is padded and plush. I know I am in a big movie theater building.

(I keep seeing the restroom scenes in my dreams...the Lord has quite a sense of humor, my physical infirmities put me in the restoom a lot)...in fact it is an inherited family weakness. Could this mean more...don't know.

I am glad you started this thread. I have a horrible recurring dream. In this dream my daughter who is seven dies. Sometimes, it's about how she is with my husband and I take my son and and we are running from something dangerous. When we reach a point where we are supposed to meet, my daughter is not there and my husband says he thought she was with me.
Another one is when I can "feel" something terrible has happened to her, and she is gone. Then I go to interact with my son and I start crying and weeping with total agony as I don't want life to return to normal because she has died. I feel guilty by behaving in a way that is not anguished over her.
This one has been happening for about 3 months and it's horrible.

I sense you are to pray and intercede for your daughter. Pray against any assignments sent to take her life. Declare the word of the Lord over her. This would be a great example of when the Lord wants us to anoint someone or something. Anoint her door and windows, pray over her bed. Be careful not to pray in a way to frighten her. In front of her pray His love and protection with thanksgiving. When she is gone pray with boldness and assuredness that the spoiler be found and his plan thwarted. God has not given you the spirit of fear, but power and love and a sound and well-balanced mind! Declare life over your daughter!!!

We thank you for warning her of the enemy's plans before they could come to fruition. Break the curse spoken against her daughter, Lord! Break the bonds that are attempting to imprison her. Your reoccurring dream could be influenced by the health issues you contend with. Losing control of your car could symbolize that you may feel like your life is utterly out of your hands...like you have no control over what happens to you. Being paralyzed could represent fear of a premature death. Watching yourself run into something could show you may understandably feel utterly helpless in these battles. This could symbolize that you are covered by the precious shed Blood of Christ! His evident anointing upon your life would agitate someone that is legalistic, far in heart from Him. This could also reveal her hard heart, not wanting to help you in your woundedness.

From what you have said, your dream confirms that you feel like the church has cast you to the winds (car flying through air). Even when you are there, you may feel invisible (like hidden in a thick bush). Though you may have been drowning in the storms of life's adversities, you have persevered (climbed up the bank) in your faith with Jesus, despite the spiritual apathy of others and their lack of love toward you.

Would agree the cloud represents the glory of our Lord! He seems to be revealing a word picture of His church and what is happening within it...the circling shark could represent the devil who has sent a scheme of Christian coddling into the church...a place where people are kept comfortable and complacent in their carnality, so spiritually they remain malnourished, sick and dying, plus unable to digest true spiritual bread and ignorant to doing the will of God, that Jesus said was His food, to do the Will of Him who sent Him!

The bowels of a building could represent being shown the bowels of church leaderships. Hall, as in long haul, could symbolize a picture of the future church on the narrow way that Christ has foreordained. Plush and padded could be a symbol of true spiritual prosperity; quiet of humility and peace that comes from Christ and His righteousness!

Pepcid is taken for relief of heartburn. This could indicate that you may need more healing from your Mom's past mistreatment of you.

Pepcid also neutralizes gas, symbolically...gas=hot air and that a symbol of pride, being hotheaded, highminded, contentious, strifing...what seems to characterize some church leaderships. Jesus will abase those who have exalted themselves, bringing His true Peace to the church!

Seems to speak about having been in waiting a very long time and the need for utter relief, for release! Awesome applicable verse...

Praiser, thank-you, very much. Fortunately, last night I did not have that dream. I have told no one about this, except here, because it's so frightening.

Good morning Gumdrop! I woke up this morning realizing that I meant to give you Phil 4:4-9. Read that and re-read that passage and especially vs 6 and 7. OK. Speak it, pray it, hide it in your heart! And remember that Paul wrote that while imprisoned in a dungeon!

There is a tendency for us to think that because we have dreamed something that it is going to happen (especially if it's bad and it is a repeated dream) But that is not true, Gumdrop. I really think God uses these things to warn us what the enemy's plans are so we can intercede for that person. He repeated it because you did not understand you duty to pray. Now you do. Satan is trying to get you to speak his language which is fear. God wants you to speak His language instead, which is faith. Fear and faith cannot coexist! Stand on God's word! What does He say? He says "Today I set before you life and death, therefore, choose life!" Isn't it great that He spells it out and makes it that clear! Also look at John 10:10. Split it in half. The first half is the ministry of Satan, the second is the ministry of Christ Jesus. That helps me a lot and I pray it helps you! =)

Make sure you SPEAK God's will and word in application to you and your family and whoever you are praying for at any time. Pray God's will on earth as it is in heaven. Like "God has not given me a spirit of fear! He has given me power and love and a sound mind!" The other thing I want you to think about is this, whose power has He given you? Whose love? Whose mind? He has given you HIS power (think about the things His power has accomplished), His love, His mind, the mind of Christ. So proclaim that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you!

These images kindof disturbed me

I'm standing in my yard with a shovel on a moonlit night, looking down in a hole (that I guess I dug). I move my shovel around in the little pit, and I see thorns coming up out of the ground in the bottom of the little hole that I've dug. I look around the hole, and almost jump out of my pants when I see several roaches standing around me, watching. They climb up on my shovel's handle, and up in my rosebush (not far away), and suddenly start chanting in shrill little voices "See? See? See what you've done? See it? See the rotting? See the festering?"

I'm about to scream, because there are so many of them, and they are about to overtake me. But then, and huge shaft of lightning shoots into the ground in front of me, shining so bright that the whole place is lit like the sun was out. My rosebush burns, the roaches fade away with a little screech, and there is no grass. A big voice echos in my ears

"Do not uncover what I have covered. Instead, dig up what you haven't seen."

Taki Fritz! This is actually a dream of edification! Digging up could symbolize resurrecting past blunders, wounds, and bitternesses etc. Tiz a demonic scheme to dwell on the unchangeable past...the devil tries inciting one to anger about injustices, as would recalling the bad of the past bring shame and condemnation, thus influencing one to feel unworthy of God's blessings, of serving Christ, and would hinder spiritual growth! Tiz just asking for trouble to rehash the past because memories aren't always accurate, as does the enemy embellish it. Been said when the devil reminds of the past, remind him of his future!

The bright light and voice is obviously Jesus! He exhorting you that your past been dealt with, totally forgiven, healed, and covered by His precious shed Blood! Him encouraging you to dig up what you haven't seen is a Divine Call to press on into the goodness of God, delve into the wisdom of His Word, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, your ears attuned to Him and His Truth, and look for the wonderful future that He will unfold for you!

God's Word is a lamp unto your feet, a light unto your path! The more of God's Word hidden in your heart, the more lighted your path will be!

This comes from someone whom I will nick SpaLady...

I dreamt that some of my friends wanted to treat me to a spa day so went to this house and the lights were dim and someone in the house tells me to get undressed and they were preparing for my spa treatment. So while standing there just looking around the spa I get ready to sit on the spa table and I see my mother and one of my classmates (male) and (I am in school full time). They are both are standing beside me. This particular classmate and I study together (no interest, he is married, but he is very arrogant and prideful in and out of class). While I am sitting on the table I see a conveyor belt around the room and there are dead bodies in body bags every where on the conveyor belt.

It was at this point that I realize that the spa is really not a spa and that these people in this house might kill me. So my classmates looks at me and says what are you going to do. I don't remember answering him but I do remember trying to get out of the house and my mother trying to help me but she was not saying a lot. So I finally get out with my mother and my classmate when I get outside there are bodies all over the front lawn and I run to the street and a friend of mind who now lives in Mass. comes along in a car and she is in a really good mood and she says get in the car I am taking you away. My mother stands there waving and we are all relieved that I made it out of the house. Once I got in the car I felt safe.

My Interpretation:

For your pondering...the first dream seems to be a revealing (undressed) of your heart that you may need spiritual refreshment (spa treatment) from having had to deal continually (conveyor belt) with such an arrogant person. Moms tend to represent a need for wisdom as proverbs likens wisdom is to a woman. In this case, you require more than your Mom (she not saying much) because tiz wisdom from above that certainly crucial for maintaining one's composure while in the presence of someone blinded by such blatant pride. The body bags could symbolize that a proud person does not recognize the 'proverbial death' in the words they speak forth, nor do they realize pride will lead to their demise. Your classmate asking you what you are going to do, seems like a challenge...he knows he is arrogant yet erroneously thinks he can willfully carry on in his belligerence with no consequences. As pride be an abomination to God, this classmate is an enemy of Jesus, and thus to you, all the more explaining why he 'enjoys' goading you. Take heart as the glory of Christ rests upon you! God Most High is your refuge, your safety! He will send you a true friend of His and yours to encourage you and cheer you up!

Make Your face shine upon Your servant; save me for Your mercies' sake. Hey all, I want to share a praise report with you. I had a vivid dream last week about a specific attack against my husband and I. The enemy was very upset that we were going somewhere together, and as we drove he took an elecrical power pole and slung it at us. He missed and we nearly got away but it snapped back and crashed into the windshield. It didn't break though but it shattered the glass right in front of my face. We were in my husbands company truck. I remembered in the dream I was thanking God the whole time. Well last night we went out for dinner, and as we were driving home we got trapped in a very violent hail storm. The scenerio was exactly like the dream!!! I was praying and thanking God (as I had done in the dream) but I really hoped God would thwart the plan of the enemy to crash something into us, and He did! Phew! It was intense. I was thinking about the advise I had given Gumdrop and another lady this week. When we got home we looked at the body of the truck thinking we probably had some hail damage because it was really hitting us hard, but we didn't have one dent! Thank God! I was really trying not to be scared but it was a bad situation. To God be all the glory!!! THANK YOU, LORD!

I live in a mobile home. I dreamt I was standing by the back door. I had an intense feeling of evil all around my right side. I turned and started to walk to the other end of the trailer. I wasn't worried at all about the evil. At the other end of the trailer I could see a light on in the bedroom. My boyfriend was fixing a wooden rocking chair that was sitting on the bed. As soon as I started to walk that way my feet came up off the ground and I floated to the other end of the trailer under that last door and to the corner where my boyfriend was working on the rocker. I'm trying to tell him to get me down but he doesn't seem to hear me or acknowledge me at all. By this time I am completely on the ceiling. It was an intensely vivd dream. Very detailed and one of three dreams ever that I remember in complete detail. I still feel that wonderful feeling of being into what was happening.

This particular dream is vivid, I believe, because it speaks of where you are right now. It is not pointing somewhere out in the future, so I believe it has been given to you to for now.

You are by the back door; possibly this points to your feeling behind or back from where you once were with the Lord. It is obvious that you have a deep trust in the Lord because though you have an intense feeling of evil, you are not worried. Only God can give THAT kind of peace! Philippians 4:7

You see your boyfriend. This is someone you are close to but not someone who has made a commitment to you. He is fixing. Very often when men see something wrong in their women they want to fix them. Sadly, this doesn't edify the relationship. Woman seek their man's comfort, acceptance and love and need their 'fixing' to be left to the Lord. (Men need this too, ladies!)

The rocker seems to point to something that has been passed down generationally. We think of rockers for both rocking babies and rocking when we are elderly. It seems that he is trying to fix your broken past but in the meantime he is missing seeing you crying out for help.

Your floating away appears to me that you are feeling out of control. You call to him to help you in this very urgent situation, but he doesn't see you nor hear you. He is looking at the old thing needing fixed, not the problem at hand and it is leaving you 'high and dry'! Bouncing off the ceiling so to speak. It also seems you are looking for him to ground you. You are looking to him to stablize you and your life. At this time, he does not appear to be able to do this for you. But do not lose heart because the Word of God states you are rooted in Christ Jesus! Please read Ephesians 3:14-19 and Colossians 2:6-7

The one thing that seems to be ambiguous to me is that while you are floating you state you want his help down, but then you wrote, "I still feel that wonderful feeling of being into what was happening." It is like you don't like the floating, but you do. I am not sure about what you mean by this, but I know when I float in dreams I like it! There is a freedom in the floating! Sometimes though, there is a feeling of being out of control that is a bit frightening.

I live in a mobile home. I dreamt I was standing by the back door. I had an intense feeling of evil all around my right side. I turned and started to walk to the other end of the trailer. I wasn't worried at all about the evil. At the other end of the trailer I could see a light on in the bedroom. My boyfriend was fixing a wooden rocking chair that was sitting on the bed. As soon as I started to walk that way my feet came up off the ground and I floated to the other end of the trailer under that last door and to the corner where my boyfriend was working on the rocker. I'm trying to tell him to get me down but he doesn't seem to hear me or acknowledge me at all. By this time I am completely on the ceiling. It was an intensely vivd dream. Very detailed and one of three dreams ever that I remember in complete detail. I still feel that wonderful feeling of being into what was happening.

Another from SpaLady with background info first...She had shared that before this dream, she prayed for God to give her a much needed research job. The very next day, she got a phone call from her dean who spoke of a perfect placement for her...saying that she was a 'shoe in', and all she had to do was submit her resume and meet with the department people. Well, they didn't hire SpaLady, so she was really questioning how God could do that to her...this job seemed perfect for her and like it was already hers, plus that the dean's phone call came the day after she had prayed...she thought for certain was God answering her! So after that 'roller coaster ride', she received this dream...

***I was at school but the school was not the college campus but my elementary school in NYC. I went in to see the dean and there were other graduate students around and we all agreed we would go to lunch and the dean was treating.

So as we are leaving I see one of my mentors who died about 8 years ago. she is dressed with a scarf around her neck and ready to go to lunch with us. I hug her and tell her I am so happy to see her. She tells me she is here to go to lunch with us. we are now leaving the building and we are now walking down a long stair case made of rod iron but the gaps between the steps are huge so you have to be careful while walking down the steps. While I am walking I say to my mentor, Dr Bonner sure is funny because I remembered something funny she said inside. As I say that Dr Bonner comes up along side of me with a scarf around her neck, and we begin talking and my mentor disappears.

We are all getting in different cars to ride to the restaurant and when we arrive some of us go inside but we were not sure if this was the place we agreed to eat. Dr Bonner is already inside and upstairs. I walk inside and begin to walk up the stairs when someone vomits from upstairs downstairs. The vomit missing my head but the remnants gets on my hands and some parts of my hair. I wipe it off as I continue to go upstairs and when I get up there Dr Bonner agrees that this place is fine to eat. By this time because someone vomited it did not smell good but it did not seem to bother her. She has this expression like someone would take care of it. I then went to get everyone else and the dream ended.***

My Interpretation:

School tends to represent being in the School of the Holy Spirit where one learns keen discernment. You may have thought this job tip coming from the dean was an honor (like lunching with the dean would be) and even that you could trust the dean's counsel to lead you in success. Seems the dean foretelling of your imminent hiring was a lie...her own words, spoken in presumption...her possibly thinking that because she, the dean, recommended you that you would be hired without question.

This mentor is obviously someone you can trust to lead you in a wise and right path. So she seems to be modelling a Divine message for you. A scarf could symbolize many things...overconfidence, being self-restricted, too controlling...this may characterize your dean? Proverbs describes pride as a rod of iron and pride certainly leads to a fall, so one must walk carefully as to not fall (huge gaps) into it. Your dream could be saying that Dr. Bonner may be walking in pride, thus any counsel from her would be worldly and warped. Your mentor would represent God, so her leaving could well symbolize that God (who opposes the proud) is not with this Dr. Bonner.

This confirms you cannot trust Dr. Bonner's advice. Someone getting sick IN a restaurant could signify that the food they ate was contaminated, so to eat there would be ludicrous and even dangerous! The smell of vomit would obviously be revolting, especially in a restaurant, making it a place to flee immediately. Your wiping off the vomit and Dr. Bonner's indifference to the foul odor could symbolize her apathy towards you about the false hope she gave you and all the unnecessary grief she caused you.


More food for thought...you had asked God to give you opportunities for researching your dissertation. Opportunities, meaning more than one option could be revealed. So even though the very next day, your prayer seemed to be answered...it not working out indicates that to Jesus (the Omniscient One) it wasn't as perfect for you as it appeared. He will present other doors of opportunity that may also close, though He will keep a door open and confirm what is truly a perfect fit for you! Recognize that just because a door opens, this doesn't signify it is the right door to walk through. Understandably, in your zeal and eagerness, you jumped at the very first opportunity (so soon after ye prayed) that knocked, however keep in prayer and pray before ye jump. When you think God has answered you, bring these answers back to Him for more clarity.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Philippians 1:9-11 And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
