Hi Lil Miss,

First I want to pray with you and then let's see where the Lord leads. Father we come to You right now in the majestic name of Jesus and ask for Your wisdom in interpretation of this dream. We know interpretation belongs to You so we hand it to You now. Thank You God for helping my sister understand this dream. May others be given and share understanding where I lack it, Lord.

This particular dream is vivid, I believe, because it speaks of where you are right now. It is not pointing somewhere out in the future, so I believe it has been given to you to for now.

You are by the back door; possibly this points to your feeling behind or back from where you once were with the Lord. It is obvious that you have a deep trust in the Lord because though you have an intense feeling of evil, you are not worried. Only God can give THAT kind of peace! Philippians 4:7

You see your boyfriend. This is someone you are close to but not someone who has made a commitment to you. He is fixing. Very often when men see something wrong in their women they want to fix them. Sadly, this doesn't edify the relationship. Woman seek their man's comfort, acceptance and love and need their 'fixing' to be left to the Lord. (Men need this too, ladies!)

The rocker seems to point to something that has been passed down generationally. We think of rockers for both rocking babies and rocking when we are elderly. It seems that he is trying to fix your broken past but in the meantime he is missing seeing you crying out for help.

Your floating away appears to me that you are feeling out of control. You call to him to help you in this very urgent situation, but he doesn't see you nor hear you. He is looking at the old thing needing fixed, not the problem at hand and it is leaving you 'high and dry'! Bouncing off the ceiling so to speak. It also seems you are looking for him to ground you. You are looking to him to stablize you and your life. At this time, he does not appear to be able to do this for you. But do not lose heart because the Word of God states you are rooted in Christ Jesus! Please read Ephesians 3:14-19 and Colossians 2:6-7

The one thing that seems to be ambiguous to me is that while you are floating you state you want his help down, but then you wrote, "I still feel that wonderful feeling of being into what was happening." It is like you don't like the floating, but you do. I am not sure about what you mean by this, but I know when I float in dreams I like it! There is a freedom in the floating! Sometimes though, there is a feeling of being out of control that is a bit frightening.

Just so you know...amongst our circle of friends...we call her house "SPA NESE" because it's sort of a place of rest for all of us...she sets such a peacful and spirit filled atmosphere that it makes it easy to tap in and get refreshed!

Today I dreamt I was in the kitchen of some house, it was rather dark and older, with a brick center island/hearth with a fire going in it. I was laying down on a table nearby (don't ask me what I was laying on a table in the kitchen for). I remember a woman in the distance - she had short, unnaturally white hair (she was not old) and when she turned around, she had a really hairy back - dark hair! (YUCK!) Then she was correcting someone - an older man, maybe her father - about something spiritual, but I think she was WAY off base... I wish I could remember what she said.
I noticed a spider crawling on the upper hearth near the ceiling. It was big - maybe 2 inches in diameter - and was one of those strong ones with thick, short legs. It was multi-colored - I think shiny green, purple, and black.
Soon, it was above me and it lowered itself down on a thread to the left side of my head. At this point I could not move and I was telling myself to wake up! I couldn't get up and all of a sudden I woke up and bolt upright in bed! Icky.

1 Kings 17:1 ~ "And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word."

I Kings 18:1, 41-45 ~ "{1} And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the Lord came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, show thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth.

{41} And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain. {42} So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees,

{43} And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times.

{44} And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not.

1 Kings 19:11-13 ~ "{11} And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake: {12} And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. {13} And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?"

Several months ago, I felt impressed of the Lord to read repeatedly the above quoted verses of Scripture. As I wondered and pondered why these verses of Scripture seemed so compelling to me, my attention was once again drawn to 1 Kings 18:1; in particular, where it reads: "And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the Lord came to Elijah..."

As I finished reading this verse of Scripture, the Lord began to speak to my heart. "Did Elijah stop being a prophet when My word wasn't coming to him?" The Lord asked me. This question from the Lord struck my heart and took my breath away. I myself had been enduring a time of great silence from the Lord. Yet even though the silence from the Lord was distressing in many ways, I continued to feel the Lord's presence with me.

Over the past several months, it was as if one tragedy after another was striking my family and loved ones. There were numerous stressful situations occurring at the same time. A spirit of intense weariness settled upon my heart. I usually felt as if I were bracing myself for the next blow to strike.

As I continued to seek the Lord for answers and direction, I had a very strange vision. This vision was so strange to me that I almost dismissed it as silly and unimportant. Yet, it haunted my thoughts. After some time, I felt clarity from the Lord in regard to this simple, "silly" vision.

I would like to share this vision, and what the Lord spoke to me in regard to this vision, with others; especially those prophets of the Most High God who also may be enduring tragedies and/or a time of silence from the Lord.

In the vision, I saw a long line of silent men and women. Each of the men and women had on a brown cape that touched the ground and they were staring ahead intently. I glanced in the direction the men and women were looking to see what they were staring at. To my surprise, I saw a large washtub such as was used in bygone days to wash clothes. Hovering over the washtub, I saw an immense hand.

I watched as each of the men and women approached the washtub. The large hand plucked up each man and woman one by one, and very deliberately placed that person (still wrapped within their brown cape) inside the washtub. Then began what I can only describe as a "wash cycle."

During this time of being "washed," each of the men and women were being swirled madly around within the washtub. Soap and water were in their eyes, ears and even in their mouths. The hand also "scrubbed" each of the men and women on a scrubber, then would place them back into the soapy, turbulent water.

As I continued to watch all of this, I became aware of the soft murmuring of a voice. I couldn't make out the words that were being spoken, but the sound of the voice was gentle and soothing. At the end of the wash cycle, the men and women appeared absolutely exhausted.

Then began the "rinse cycle." The wash water was drained from the washtub, and clean water added. A bucket appeared grasped in the large hand. I watched as the large hand repeatedly poured bucketful after bucketful of later over each of the soapy men and women.

The voice continued to murmur gently and soothingly to the men and women, but with the soap and now the water in their ears, they didn't seem able to hear the sound of the voice.

At the end of the "rinse cycle," I watched as the large hand set the bucket aside, grasped each of the men and women one by one, and placed them into an old fashioned wringer. I gasped with dismay as I saw each of the men and women being completely flattened and having the water pressed from them as they were put through this wringer. Then, the men and women were placed gently into a basket. By the time this entire process was completed, the men and women were totally limp and exhausted.

Then another hand appeared so that there was now a set of large hands. The hands reached into the basket and gently removed the men and women one by one. The set of hands carried each man and woman to a clothesline and began to "hang" the men and women on the clothesline.

As I stared at the men and women hanging on the clothesline, I saw that each of them had their eyes closed; almost as if they had fallen asleep after the ordeal they had just endured.

I then began to faintly hear the sound of a gentle breeze. This breeze seemed to envelope each of the men and women, and they were gently swaying back and forth on the clothesline. As the breeze gently blew on the men and women, the soft voice continued to murmur to them.

Gradually, the men and women seemed to become aware of the sound of the voice. They opened their eyes, began to slowly look around them, and became more alert. The hands then took each of the men and women down from the clothesline. The men and women stood silently, as if waiting for something to happen. I realized that during this whole process, not one of the men or women had resisted, or even spoken.

As I stared at the men and women, I saw them become quietly animated. I noticed they were each staring off into the distance at something. I turned to see what it was they were gazing at, and saw a small cloud. The small cloud appeared as if from over the horizon.

Then, each of the men and women set off towards the small cloud, and the vision ended.

As I continuously thought upon this vision, the Lord began to speak to me about it.

"Do you know who the men and women are?" The Lord asked me.

"No, Lord," I replied.

"They are My prophets," the Lord replied. "To one degree or another, I have been taking My prophets through a time of being purified and cleansed. For some of them, this process is quite open and apparent.
For others, it is hidden and is being accomplished in secret and in
isolation. For all of them, though, it is painful; for all within them that is impure or unclean is being laid open and is being dealt with and cleansed."

"Why, Lord?" I asked.

"For the coming days ahead," the Lord replied. "As I have been dealing with My prophets, so will I also be dealing with each of My children. When this cleansing process comes upon each of My children, My prophets will be there to aide in this process."

"What is the purpose of this process, Lord?" I asked.

"I am moving in a different manner than I have before," the Lord answered. "I am speaking differently. Each of My prophets, and also each of My children, must be attuned to the changes in the way I am moving and speaking. If they are not attuned to these changes, they will overlook and miss My purpose and My will, and what it is I desire to see accomplished."

"And what is it that You desire to see accomplished, Lord?" I asked.

"I desire for My prophets to not only speak My word," the Lord replied. "I desire them to also have a solution to the word I give them to speak, and to know through My Spirit how to apply the interpretation of My word to them."

I felt confused by this answer.

"You do not understand, child?" The Lord asked me. I admitted that I
did not.

"When I speak a word of warning or of coming calamity to one of My prophets," the Lord explained, "not only do I desire that prophet to
speak forth the word of warning, I desire them to also have a solution to the coming calamity. Speaking forth My word is no longer totally acceptable to Me," the Lord said. "I would also have My prophets to become so mature in Me that they will also have clear direction for others in regard to the word I speak to them. Now do you understand?"

"Yes, Lord," I replied.

"The cleansing process for My prophets and also for My children," the Lord continued, "is for them to come to maturity. When they are mature, then will I arise with total strength and glory in the midst of My people. "The danger, though, during this process is that of My prophets and My children becoming dejected and overwhelmed by the situations I will and have been bringing upon them, and for them to quit.

"Another danger is that of not restoring and strengthening those who I will expose during the cleansing process. Before there is a cleansing of the flesh, there is first a decaying of the flesh. Whenever the flesh is decaying, there is a stench. The stench of the flesh decaying for many of My prophets and My children will be offensive to many others, yet it is not My desire for their backs to be turned upon those who are going through the decaying process.

"This is a very delicate time spiritually for My prophets and eventually for My children," the Lord continued. "Souls hang in the balance, and it will be through the maturity of My prophets and then of My children, that the fate of these souls will be decided."

When the Lord ceased speaking to me, I was amazed and tremendously humbled by this simple, at first glance almost seemingly silly, vision of a washtub that the Lord had shared with me. I began to grasp the enormous magnitude of how the Lord is currently moving and speaking to us.

It is my sincere desire and hope that others of the prophets and God's children who are enduring a cleansing and also a decaying to the flesh process may be encouraged and strengthened through this vision.

Penumbra, If I could add some things to what insight Humblebee has posted… I pray it adds to the understanding already given…

Being in the kitchen is generally that one place in a house we all come together, but still, you are not in a home you know or are familiar with. It is dark (representing the presence of sin) and older (maybe - old way of doing things). There was a fire in the center which may be the presence of God being with you in the center of your being.

The woman with the hairy back would seem like a woman with masculine tendencies. You thought she was way off base on her correcting a fatherly figure about spiritual matters - points to your ability to be spiritually discerning not only her controlling spirit, but the false opinions she is trying to force on him. On top of being fake and distant, you have detected that she is also disrespectful and seems to be trying to force false doctrine (on the elders or church or you).

It could also stand to reason that you were on the table because you were about to be devoured (like a meal). A classic spider that most of us are on the lookout for is a Black Widow (she had a dark hairy back like a spider) and you are on the table. Fortunately, you are far enough away from this woman that before the spider manifests and comes near your head, you can tell yourself that you must ‘wake up’. You have time to take action and get away from this clearly dangerous situation. I believe that subconsciously you are sensing the danger this poisonous person is to you and you are warning yourself that it is time to get away!

Shiny green seems to be like 'false - life'. Purple may be 'masking royality'. Not sure. [Humblebee, do you see something in these three colors coming together in the spider??? I think there is something here but I am not sure what it is. Whatever, they represent it can't be good! ]

Because this has such a creeping feeling to it (and I am not scared of spiders per se), I hope you don’t mind, but I really feel that we are to pray for you. Lord, we come to you now on behalf of our brother who calls himself, Penumbra. Give him wisdom in discerning what this means, what You are showing him and who this represents. Give him the grace and peace that You have given him this dream to warn him BEFORE he gets devoured! Thank You, Father for the love you show him and thank You for waking him up just in time. Thank you both for the insight. I went to my grandmother's house yesterday. She lives about 2 hours away, so I stayed the night. There was a big nasty spider that crawled down the wall while I was sitting on the couch. It was a big brown hunter spider, about an 2 inches in diameter, but not like in my dream, though. And I could scarcely see my grandmother with black hair on her back! LOL
Oh man... ever since I got saved, I've been more <ahem> scared of the dark and sometimes I have to pray for several minutes to calm my heart. I know, I know. We weren't given a spirit of fear, but of power....

I think this fear of the dark is because you are now sensitive in the spirit (discerning of spirits) Don't worry about it because as you grow in Christ, you will be able to trust the Lord with this fear and He will replace it with peace. You are going through a period of growth. Be blessed!

I had this dream a couple weeks ago:

I am in the mountains...the ground is not flat...but sort of level for the mountains.

I see trees...pines...maybe bouildings and a body of water. The trees may be in standing in the water.

Then to my left...more water comes pouring in...covering much more ground...raising the water level many feet and making the surface of the water much larger...the trees (may?) be standing in the water.

I see myself in the front of a speed boat...standing...leaning on the front part of the boat to keep standing and I see my oldest son sitting in the back of the boat. He is facing me...holding a fishing pole...I see the line and a fish is on the end of the line.

There is someone else in the boat with a pole facing me...us? I see the line with a fish on the end of the line.

It seemed like my son had given this other person permission and authority to fish as well.

The we get to a houseboat? I climb up a ladder and hear my family...the noise of my family and I am weeping for joy...I see my youngest son's mother-in-law there.

This could speak about a time of seclusion and contentment (level) in that place.

Pine trees could symbolize pining or sorrow over someone or circumstances or an intercessory burden. Buildings could represent being supported by Jesus, the Chief Cornerstone, in your time of grief. The body of water could be the countless tears you have shed, that have brought you closer to Christ, the Living Water! He gives you His strength to stand and endure!

A speed boat could represent a powerful ministry! Your oldest son fishing could be an evangelistic call on his life, as Jesus said He would make the disciples fishers of men! Would also appear that your son will be an anointed of God disciple maker and teach others how to 'fish' for souls!

A houseboat could foretell about a time of closeknit fellowship with your family, including in-laws. Your climbing the ladder could symbolize that Jesus will indeed raise you up out of seclusion and out of your time of mourning!

Psalm 30:11-12 You turned my wailing into dancing; You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing to You and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever.

Psalm 126:5-6 Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy. [You] who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with [you].

From the other dream you had shared, "a lady just around the corner helped you"...could be an exhortation that Jesus breaking through in your life and family, is indeed imminent!

Stretching...surmising this dream be a Divine foretelling that Jesus is about to powerfully impact his heart in such a radical way that it will transform him, how he perceives people and circumstances, even the way he interacts and speaks! Sounds like our Lord will start a revival in your hubby's heart!

That would make sense this past sunday night an evangelist spoke on the Holy Spirit. Afterwards the evangelist gave an alter call for those that want to be filled with the Holy Spirit. A couple that we are very close to encouraged my hub to go down to the alter. He was there for at least 2 hours in a strong battle. He didn't get it but since then he has been asking for the Lord to fill him.

Hi Furrysmommy! There is a couple of things that I got with this dream and I submit them for your consideration. One thing is that when we have a dream repeatedly, it usually means God is really wanting to us to pay attention, or there is something nagging us.

First if you or your husband are feeling fear about this it would be a good idea to pray and ask the Lord for His protection. It will also help to pray for His interpretation. The Lord showed me once how a heart transplant was done in us each when we came to really know the Lord. It was spiritually symbolic of a 'change of heart' or 'create in me a clean heart'. But this could also be a warning of how the enemy is trying to attack him BUT can be dealt with prayerfully and in His peace. God hasn't given you a spirit of fear. He has given you power and love and a sound mind. Remember, God gave that dream to your husband and what the true interpretation is, when he hears it, he will know it. The heart is not only a physical organ, but it is also an emotional seat and a spiritual seat. So God could be emotionally healing him, spiritually healing him or physically healing him and you both need to seek the Lord as to its application. I pray I am making myself clear. A reoccurring dream certainly signifies that God has decreed a Divine Encounter for your hubby...as you said for him to be filled with the Holy Spirit! (In Acts 10, Peter saw the same vision 3 times!) So, this dream does not appear to be warning of a coming physical attack, as Praiser seemed to imply. The devil bringing fear in an attempt to mess up your hubby's faith, trying to hinder him from receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Fear and faith are in opposition to one another. Your hubby could be inwardly fretting about surrendering his all to Christ. Encourage your hubby that Jesus loves him, and he has nothing to fear. Christ came to bring him LIFE and that more abundantly! LIFE TO THE FULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!

Ephesians 3:14-19 For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom His whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge–that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
