Shalom Sweet-P! Awesome dream! Please read on...
***I dreamed I was at a family gathering as well as friends all in one place. However, I felt that I wanted to get away for awhile, so I went into my room which for some strange reason was outdoors, in a beautiful garden setting).***
The beautiful garden symbolizes the vitality of meeting Christ in the secret place. Hence, the importance of obeying His voice, to seek Him first, despite what else may be going on at that moment!
1 Samuel 15:22 Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
***As I went into my room, I saw a dove there--a beautiful white dove with a pinkish tinge on its breast and tail. I was so drawn to this dove.***
The Holy Spirit is always eagerly waiting for each of us in the secret place! You were so drawn by Jesus' unconditional love! Pink could symbolize emotional (breast) health and gaining victory over past defeats (tail), describing personal ministry received in the secret place!
***I called my husband to see the dove and asked him to bring me some seed for it. When he came to the room with the seed, he had to be very careful, gentle, speak softly and move slowly so as not to drive the dove away.***
The seed is the Word of God that will draw out the manifestation of the Holy Spirit's presence evidenced by meekness and peace! Lack of reverence, impatience, and or an opposing spirit would make the Spirit hide one's awareness of God's presence.
Mark 4:14 The sower sows the word.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
***I took some seed and put it down on the ground next to me, and immediately the dove flew over and began eating the seed. Then I put some seed closer to me; again, the dove came closer and ate from that seed. Suddenly, the dove flew over to me and landed on me! He took the seed that was in my hand and came up to my mouth and appeared to be feeding the seed to me with his beak!***
Speaking the Word, offering up the promises of God, will draw the Holy Spirit closer and closer to you, and tiz the Spirit that imparts understanding of the Word and Will of God, making the Word personal and alive in you...nourishing your spirit!
Matthew 4:4 But He answered and said, "It is written, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God."'
***The dove was very, very gentle and would not allow anyone else to get close except my husband; however, he would actually remain on me. I became extremely attached and fond of this dove. I felt very protective of it, and would not allow anyone or anything to disturb it, so much so that if anyone offended it and it flew away, I would become very upset and cry. I would go in my room and stay there, silently waiting and praying for the dove to return to me. He would finally return to me and kiss me!!***
This seems to speak about the matchless value of the anointing upon your life and about guarding against the spirit of offense, done by walking in love consistently, symbolized by your husband. As well, what an exhortation to be very very sensitive to the Holy Spirit's presence and perceived 'absence' and that if it does withdraw, making any necessary amends that would please the Spirit, ensuring its quick return!
Matthew 12:19-21 He will not quarrel nor cry out, nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets. A bruised reed He will not break, and smoking flax He will not quench, till He sends forth justice to victory; and in His name Gentiles will trust.
***I noticed that this dove had no mate and it was "genderless," neither male nor female.***
Galatians 3:7-8 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
***The dove seemed to look into people's hearts. Even when someone who appeared kind and friendly and honest approached the dove, he would look deeply into their eyes and know what their true heart and motives were, and if it was perturbing to him, he would fly off.***
Ephesians 4:1-3 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
Hebrews 4:12-13 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
2 Corinthians 5:9 Therefore we make it our aim...to be well pleasing to Him.
***After being with this dove for awhile, I started BECOMING like the dove--he would impart his personality and senses to me. I became gentle, tenderhearted, sensitive and humble like this beautiful dove.***
Been said, you become whom you behold, all the better to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus!
Romans 8:29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
2 Corinthians 3:17-18 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Ephesians 4:32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
Ephesians 5:1-2 Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Colossians 3:14-15 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
***I also became very sensitive to other people, and like the dove I could "sense" other people's hearts and attitudes. If they were harsh or proud, or had false humility, I would become disturbed and not want to be near them...like the dove. There were times when some people would try to get close to me and the dove, and though they appeared "nice" and friendly, the dove would know immediately and completely their real nature.***
Psalm 4:3 But know that the LORD has set apart for Himself him who is godly; the LORD will hear when I call to Him.
Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be misled: Bad company corrupts good character.
2 Corinthians 6:17-18 Therefore "Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you." "I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the LORD Almighty."
Colossians 2:8-10, 16-23 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ...Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God. Therefore if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations--"Do not touch, do not taste, do not handle," which all concern things which perish with the using--according to the commandments and doctrines of men? These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh.
***So, I became like the dove and I also "knew" what other people were like in their heart. I was very protective of the dove and very bonded to it. I would much rather be with "my" dove than with another human being. This dove was the most important and cherished object of my life, and all I desired. I determined that I would give up everything in the world to have the presence of this beautiful dove.***
Psalm 73:25 Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You.
Matthew 6:19-21 Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Matthew 13:44-46 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.
Colossians 1:18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.
Colossians 3:1-4 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
***Some people mocked me, calling me "the dove girl" in a sarcastic tone. But I didn't care...all I desired was this lovely dove. It was more precious to me than anything or anyone. We had a very close relationship, feeding and caring for each other. He would be waiting for me to come into my room and immediately fly to me and land on me, and even kiss me at times, and I would speak to him lovingly and stroke him.***
They mock because they have Him not, nor know His love that surpasses all loves! Your wholehearted adoration and receptivity would certainly woo the Spirit immediately out of hiding!
Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on His law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.
Psalm 22:3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
Psalm 69:9 Because zeal for Your house has eaten me up, and the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me.
1 Samuel 13:14 ...the LORD has sought out a man after His own heart...
Mark 12:28-31 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked Him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?" "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."
Ephesians 3:17-19 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height--to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Ephesians 6:7-8 Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.
Philippians 3:7-11 But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
***My husband would be allowed into this special place with me and the dove, but if anyone else entered, the dove would fly away. And, oh, how my heart would break and I would cry until it returned to me.***
Could be a cautioning about distractions and idols that may hinder one's concentration in the secret place of prayer. The Spirit won't compete for one's attention. Loving devotion (symbolized by your hubby) and a contrite spirit will keep the Holy Spirit near! Could also be an exhortation for vigilance in prayer until the Spirit really shows up!
Isaiah 66:1-2 Thus says the LORD: "Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool. Where is the house that you will build Me? And where is the place of My rest? For all those things My hand has made, and all those things exist," says the LORD. "But on this one will I look: on him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at My word.
Luke 18:1 Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart...
2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
