I had one the other night about death, I could even smell the death when I woke up. It was scary, I just prayed right through it, and eventaully it went away, but weird huh. I figured it was something I watched, but the smell. OHHH, weird.... very strong, and real.....
Have you been witnessing yet meeting with resistance? These Bible verses could explain your dream:

2 Corinthians 2:15-17 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task? Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, like men sent from God.

Theme of your dream is this...When looking for something to do witnessing, though you may not be comfortable in doing that, is obviously a good thing! Being with a group of people, who are wise (experienced) and out-going will help make others thirsty for Jesus and efforts more effective! Indeed expect Divine Appointments (due intentions) in setting out to evangelize! Witnessing for Christ should be done reverently and with much prayer and Bible study, as spiritual battles may be encountered, so be armed (rifle) with your Sword of the Spirit, have a firm grasp (big building has firm foundation) on the Word of God and really grounded (canyonistic dirt) in Divine truth to answer peoples' questions well and correctly. Sharing about Jesus is one way to keep your faith from getting rusty.

The purpose of witnessing is obviously giving others knowledge to...Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. (Matthew 7:13-14) And compelling them to recognize that Jesus is The Way, The Truth, and The Life! No one comes to the Father but through Him. (John 14:6) Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:13)

I have two things... I dream a lot about fighting, fighting anonymous people who I don't know, mostly people in typically SWAT kind of gear, but they have no faces. When I look at them, all I see is black. I don't know why I am fighting, and more often than not I either run away - only to be chased endlessly - or hide, but I am always betrayed - that is my location given up to the bad guys. Some times I do not know who betrays me, but there have been several dreams where I know I was specifically betrayed by members of my family in the dream. There is no one specific recurring dream, but it is a recurring event in a lot of dreams.

The second one was a vision I recieved several years ago, that I never recieved a clear interpretation of. It was at a time when I was really struggling with what church I should be going to, and who I was as a young christian. I have been struggling with similar issues lately and it was brought to my rememberance last night.

The vision was of a church in the middle of a desert, and there were army troops in trenches all around the church, and they were fighting with an unnameable enemy. I did see the enemy, but they strangely appeared to be wearing the same uniforms as the people in the trenches. One thing about the church itself stood out to me, it appeared in one eye I guess as a full church with stained glass windows, and... it looked like a very traditional church - much like the one I was attending at the time. With the other eye however, I saw a church that was crumbling, almost in ruins in fact, large chunks of stone falling off everywhere. Stranger than this, I saw people going in and out of the church - the congregation - but they couldn't see what I could see - not the army fighting, nor the 'other' church, the one in ruins.

I heard a voice say "You will be a peacemaker." The church's true state was finally revealed as being in ruins. I then saw the desert surrounding the church start to flourish with green grass, and the previous wasteland became a meadow. Slowly people came, and started to rebuild the church once more. They seemed to be the same people who had attended the church previously, but I couldn't be sure. When the church was complete, the people joined the army that had been fighting previously, and formed a wall of people all around the church. And that was the end of it.

Someone gave me an interpretation when I first experienced this, but I cannot remember it, and although I had a record of it, that too has disappeared. I'd not visited this corner of the forums until tonight, and this thread stared me in the face.

Hi there Dave!

SWAT, as you know stands for Special Weapons And Tactics (team) and also this too Servants With A Testimony, plus Spiritual Warfare And Training. Surmising you are in a spiritual warfare boot camp. To wage effective spiritual warfare, God is training you to recognize and be aware of enemy tactics that may even come through family members...for example, the devil may try to isolate you from Christian fellowship by inciting a family member to persuade you to miss church etc:confused: Your dream could also show that you have trouble trusting your family members? You didn't know who you were fighting because you in a spiritual battle and your being chased admonishes that the enemy always schemes to trip up believers, so gotta be guarded. The more you know and obey the Word of God, the keener your spiritual discernment will be to escape demonic snares. Making you a Servant With A Testimony! :D Applicable Bible verses:

Ephesians 6:10-13 Finally...be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

1 Peter 5:8-9 Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist Him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

This seems to describe a spiritually dry church completely void of good fruit, lacking the Holy Spirit, explaining why there was infighting (same uniforms) and strife. Maybe there was disunity in the leadership of that church, but most didn't know it. God sure did and showed you! So conflict amongst the pastoral staff would certainly lead to a church that falls apart, crumbles.

I heard a voice say "You will be a peacemaker." The church's true state was finally revealed as being in ruins. I then saw the desert surrounding the church start to flourish with green grass, and the previous wasteland became a meadow. Slowly people came, and started to rebuild the church once more. Seems to indicate that you would help bring the peace of Jesus to this church and usher in the refreshing (flourishing green grass and meadow) of the Holy Spirit that would bring back those who were driven away because of the strife and instead of fighting amongst themselves, they would band together to contend against the real enemy.

Psalm 122:1 I rejoiced with those who said to me, "Let us go to the house of the LORD."

Psalm 133:1-3 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; as the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.

Luke 11:17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.

Ephesians 4:3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

Of course, fighting with your parents isn't good and would open the door for the enemy to get in, maybe why you were injured. The Bible exhorts to honour and respect your parents. ;) Instead of fighting with your best friend try being a peacemaker. :D

Copied from another dream interpretation thread...

Kathy said:
I had this, I guess I would call it a still dream, it seemed like the dream only lasted about 1 minute...The dream...There was a large room with a shiny floor and a slain lamb standing in the middle of the room..nothing else that I noticed in the room but a slain lamb...The lamb's eyes were open and in the dream, I heard the words...A slain lamb...What do you think this dream means?

Make Jesus Christ, the sacrificial Lamb of God, the Center of your life! :holy: Worship the Lord God and serve Him only! :D

John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Revelation 5:1-14 Then I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals. And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice, "Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?" But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or even look inside it. I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside. Then one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals." Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. He came and took the scroll from the right hand of Him who sat on the throne. And when He had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new song: "You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because You were slain, and with Your blood You purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth." Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they sang: "Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!" Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing: "To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!" The four living creatures said, "Amen," and the elders fell down and worshiped.

Hi humblebee,

Can you decipher this for me? Have some ideas but would like an objective view. Abi

Hi Kristi,
Finally had one! Now I could use your expertise!

I am called out to do a deliverance on a young girl.
When I get to the address it is a large church complex.

I enter what appears to be an auditorium set up for a service. The hall is full of people. I go to the front near the stage, at the first row of seats. There is a young girl standing up in front of one of them. She is about 16 and I notice she is pregnant.

A woman indicates this is the girl they have notified me to see. I say to the woman you cannot do deliverance until the baby is born. It is too dangerous. I am concerned for the welfare of the baby. The young girl seems scared but submissive.

The woman takes the girl to a small glass room, like a cubicle at the left side of the front of the church. The girl gets into a bed in there and covers herself with the bedclothes. I can see her through the glass window of the cubicle. so can everyone else.

The big screen at the front of the church now has a view of the room where the girl is lying in bed. Eveyone is watching the screen. The woman who took the girl to the room starts doing warfare. I see on the screen that the girl begins to moan and squirm as if in pain. She is writhing in the bed as the woman prays prayers of deliverance. Everyone is watching.

Some men come in, they appear to be the leaders.
One of them begins to preach. I go to leave, very upset for the girl and the baby, and shocked at the woman's lack of sensitivity for the girl or her child.

In the foyer there is a man in black. One side of his sunglasses is missing. The woman who came with me stops to talk to him. She is my assistant. She flirts with him and kisses him on the neck. I am wary and want to leave. He asks me questions and I try to answer without offending him.

I go to the toilet. There are many cubicles. While I am in one of the cubicles a woman walks through from the left door, out the right door. She is carrying something.

I can't wait to leave. I get outside and I pass a man and a woman. The man gets excited and says to his partner, look honey, she looks just like you.

I say to the man, "you have the same taste as my father. I look like my mother. He chose her."
They seem happy and keep walking.

I keep walking and come to a table tennis game in progress. My older and younger brother and my father and a stanger are playing table tennis.

My father says, "Your big sister is a lovely girl, but she is a bit silly sometimes."

I think, "My father is a compassionate man, more so than most."

The dream ends abruptly.

I felt sad when I woke up.
I couldn't get the dream out of my mind.

Like to hear your thoughts - Abi.

Hmmm, are you going to a conference in the near future? If not, you might be. Hall, as in long haul, tends to be a symbol of the future. So your dream seems to foretell of an incident you may witness. You could be the girl's Divinely appointed watchwoman. God gave you wisdom to recognize that she was pregnant and that her deliverance should be put on hold. However, the woman you admonished did not listen. Though she took the girl aside to lay down, that was only a feigned concern, a pretentious compassion, for show. The woman did do warfare over her, revealing she not submissive and was moving in the flesh, in vainglory. Her true intent, and even maybe of the conference organizers, was to impress people with 'her' deliverance power, symbolized by everyone watching and the big screen. She was on the left side of the church, opposite of left is right and of right is wrong. She was not walking in love by endangering both the girl and her baby.

The man in black with one side of his sunglasses missing could symbolize being two-faced, having a hidden agenda. Purporting a 'Christian' conference, all the while mammon and pride being the true motives. In dealing with him, you show extreme graciousness in spite of such openly fleshly behavior.

Going to the toilet could symbolize that you are being shown the 'bowels', the true heart motives of whomever set up that conference.

The table tennis game could symbolize double mindedness...wanting to appear Christian, yet motivated more by money than by Christ's love. As could table tennis, be a Divine cautioning to not be tossed to and fro by the deceitfulness of man.

Being a Christian is certainly a clear call to walk in winsome compassion and that you did! :D

Here are some Bible verses that apply to your dream:

Matthew 6:5-6 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Philippians 2:3-4 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

Ephesians 4:11-16 And He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: from whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Colossians 3:12 Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

2 Timothy 2:1 Thou therefore...be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

1 John 2:15-17 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

O so glaaaaaaaaaaad you sent me your dream! Was an enlightening read! Thank you for posting here! :holy:

ok.. i was at my old secondary school..in bus line..friends i knew were there..remember first bus arrived..friends budged ahead..remember fighting with one friend..ill call him "J"..ok..we were fighting at bus line..he got in..but teacher held me back..i was fighting about that alittle too..second bus came..one friend..not a food friend..but he went around to get on...

ok..now i am at my old elementary school gym...old place i used to live at..was playing basketball with more friends..I did good considering my neck problem i actually have...I missed a good pass a friend gave to me..I was just alittle late to get it...remember getting some three point shots....ok after this..I remember crates in center of gym..they were filled with gum..like you know..bubble gum..like those packed kind..they had me trapped in center..i couldnt get out..but my friend could..he showed me..people then removed them..i got out..i then took gum..and a person i knew..took some too..another friend was there too...

ok..remember in gym now..it was different..I remember a guy..He seemed from India..Indian..remember Russian lanuage..I spoke in tongues with him..He understood what i was saying..He asked questions because he understood lanuage..He asked about going to French..there was a no to that.. He followed me around cause i think I was a man of God..Also..remeber at times when i spoke in tongues..in dream..He got going to brasil..and when we sat..he said..thougth asia too...(also it may help to know.i am Indian..as a native of Canada)....also remember seeing library around us alittle..

ok..now remember there was a huge crowd..alot of people..they opposed us..me and Indian guy..we ran around..we rebuked them..they still kept coming..they didnt listen...my friends I described at bus stop were there..they said "oh you are apart of that persons group"..(note..i am not mentioning names)....i think they attacked us.....remember then..now i was on bench...girl i know..came up..she looked glorified..i said like..i rebuked enemy..but they still after us or me...she said..something about because there is a principality or something..and she fell to her knees..and pleded the blood of Christ..and the enemy..which looked like those egyptian beetles stopped and didnt go after her......
then i remember fighting in a circle..with those alot of people around me..i was fighting alone...one of my friends i mentioned at bus stop..came through..and we fought..while the huge amount of people watched...it looked as if i did good..but i lost it loooked like..or i wasnt doing well..remember laying down or tired..a lady i know..came around.with a mircophone and said to say sorry..so i did..i think a few times..i remember something about being pierced...ok she said think..now listen carefully
this is were i will have to ask God about..as i dont know what He said to me
for sure...
the lady said because of present time, not to meet woman.. i also heard something about perpectual..and i heard you are a man of Christ..and that i meet woman..also heard about self-control or control...i showed smile...i woke up feeling alittle sad..but didnt last long cause i started to think about what was said..so i think maybe about this: you are not a woman..you are man of Christ..now going to meet woman..i dont know what was actually said to me..as my mind in that dream....so these are two verisons..i hope to know what God said..i know He will answer..i didnt use names as consideration

:holy:

i was at my old secondary school..in bus line..friends i knew were there..remember first bus arrived..friends budged ahead..remember fighting with one friend..ill call him "J"..ok..we were fighting at bus line..he got in..but teacher held me back..i was fighting about that alittle too..second bus came..one friend..not a food friend..but he went around to get on...

You would do well to be more of a peacemaker than to fight against others. The most Christian and kind reaction to especially a friend cutting in on you, would have been to let them go ahead of you. Recognize that those in authority over you are God appointed, so in fighting against them, you contending with God!

Philippians 2:3-4 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

Deleted part about basketball and bugglegum, didn't really see any spiritual insight.

remember in gym now..it was different..I remember a guy..He seemed from India..Indian..remember Russian lanuage..I spoke in tongues with him..He understood what i was saying..He asked questions because he understood lanuage..He asked about going to French..there was a no to that.. He followed me around cause i think I was a man of God..Also..remeber at times when i spoke in tongues..in dream..He got going to brasil..and when we sat..he said..thougth asia too...(also it may help to know.i am Indian..as a native of Canada)....also remember seeing library around us alittle..

Have heard many testimonies of someone speaking in tongues and that what is spoken is in the language of a listener, encouraging them to faith in Christ! :D (1 Corinthians 14 talks about speaking in tongues)

ok..now remember there was a huge crowd..alot of people..they opposed us..me and Indian guy..we ran around..we rebuked them..they still kept coming..they didnt listen...my friends I described at bus stop were there..they said "oh you are apart of that persons group"..(note..i am not mentioning names)....i think they attacked us.....remember then..now i was on bench...girl i know..came up..she looked glorified..i said like..i rebuked enemy..but they still after us or me...she said..something about because there is a principality or something..and she fell to her knees..and pleded the blood of Christ..and the enemy..which looked like those egyptian beetles stopped and didnt go after her......

Since you battle not against flesh and blood , but against demonic principalities (Ephesians 6:10-12), when you are under spiritual attack call on Jesus and on the power of His precious shed blood! Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you! (James 4:7)

then i remember fighting in a circle..with those alot of people around me..i was fighting alone...one of my friends i mentioned at bus stop..came through..and we fought..while the huge amount of people watched...it looked as if i did good..but i lost it loooked like..or i wasnt doing well..remember laying down or tired..a lady i know..came around.with a mircophone and said to say sorry..so i did..i think a few times..i remember something about being pierced...ok she said think..now listen carefully

Again, you'd be wise to live in peace with others and when you done something wrong, do apologize. Tiz a good witness and shows humility. Also, well remember that Christ was pierced for your transgressions!

Isaiah 53:5 But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed.

the lady said because of present time, not to meet woman.. i also heard something about perpectual..and i heard you are a man of Christ..and that i meet woman..also heard about self-control or control...

Maybe this is exhorting you to hold off about finding a girlfriend for awhile and focus on Jesus, develop your relationship with Him, learn to be more self-controlled and led by the Holy Spirit. Then you will be more ready for a relationship. (In preparation, read 1 Corinthians 13...The Love Chapter)

Jeremiah 29:11-14 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the LORD...

Came across this wonderful read and will only add one Bible verse:...

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.

Cherish Vision Received by Catherine Brown
"My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weaknesses." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Cor 12:9,10.

The 'cherish vision' was received during an extremely intense time of enemy opposition in my life, when I was simultaneously seeking hard after God. I was physically tired and feeling a bit "beat up" if truth to be told! The Lord met me in my weariness, brought peace to my soul, restored my joy and my vision and lifted me tenderly into a place of breakthrough in His strength. I pray that these words will encourage, comfort and edify you. In this vision, when the Lord speaks to me He is not speaking to me alone but is also addressing every believer.

"CHOSEN"

I was sitting on a rock beside Jesus. There was a little cleft in the rock that fitted me just perfectly. I was comfortable here. Neither Jesus nor I were saying anything. We were simply enjoying being together. Then the Lord broke the silence by lifting His hand and as He did so, He pulled a back a curtain on time. I saw the hand of God reach out through dense darkness and watched in wonder as lightning bolts began to strike my mother's womb. I saw a tiny heart begin to beat and the word 'CHOSEN' was inscribed on it. This was my heart! It was the moment that I was conceived. I had known previously that God had knitted me together in my mother's womb (Ps 139:13), but how incredible to actually witness the sovereign action of God in my creation.

To choose something is to pick it out as being the best of perhaps two or more alternatives. Jesus chooses us and lifts us out of darkness into His Love and Light and Resurrection Life.

"CHERISHED"

Whilst I was still sitting on the rock, Jesus turned to me and put a string of beautiful pearls around my neck. They were exquisite. He reminded me that the Kingdom of God is a pearl of great price (Mt 13:45, 46) and then said, "Child, you are chosen to be part of My Kingdom and you are cherished by your heavenly Father."

Angels came and surrounded us, each one of them smiling warmly. Jesus took a garland of blossoms and wrapped them around me. A beautiful fragrance enveloped me and I was immediately comforted, experiencing a warm rush of the Lord's joy in my heart. He said that the blossoms were His grace. "Remember My child how much I cherish the heart that I choose. My grace is sufficient for all your needs"

Cherish means protect and care for lovingly. It also means nurture. God's grace is gentle and embraces all our needs, nurturing us in discipleship. God's grace enables us to live and breath for Him and to rise above any circumstance in His strength. The apostle Paul understood this divine principle of truth. (2 Cor 12:9, 10)

"CHILD OF GOD"

Jesus then proclaimed, "Child of God!" His words of proclamation carried authority and impact. Next, I was dressed in a pure white garment with many ribbons attached to it. The ribbons had words inscribed on them, which included 'innocence', 'virtue', 'faith' and 'worship'. I felt most precious to the Lord. Precious means to be greatly loved or treasured by someone. Whilst wrapped in God's grace, faith stirred afresh in my heart to worship Jesus with my entire life and to fulfil all that He has purposed and planned for my life to bring him glory. God calls every one of his children 'precious.'

My name, Catherine, means 'pure one'. The Lord is purifying His Bride, each one of us is being prepared and made ready for our glorious King. As the Lord looked at me with love, I felt His resolve strengthen my feeble human frame. In the depths of my being my heart swelled with security at being declared His child.

"CHOOSE"

After being adorned by the white robe, two paths appeared before me. One was bright and full of light and marked with the word 'sonship'. Angels were positioned along this pathway and carried huge banners bearing the words 'acceptance', 'affirmation', and 'forgiveness'. The other path was dark and bore different markings. These were 'condemnation', 'criticism' and 'bitterness.' The dark path way was strewn with jagged stones that would have torn delicate flesh that walked along it.

Somewhat perplexed I said, "But Lord, who would walk that path?"

Jesus looked at me with a depth of love in His eyes and responded, "The one who forgets they are a chosen, cherished, child of God."

"Remember My righteousness. Take hold of My grace and walk before Me and be blameless. Remember the pearl of great price. I have counted the cost and paid the price, now consider the call. Remember the cleft in the rock and the covering of My glory. For I am with you even unto the ends of the age."

WHAT WILL YOU CHOOSE – SLAVERY OR SONSHIP?

The question before us all is an important one. What will we choose –slavery or sonship? As believers we are adopted into God's family through Holy Spirit. As such, we are no longer slaves but sons and daughters of the most high God! (Gal 3:26, 4:6-7). Why is it then that we struggle to walk in the full liberty Jesus has purchased for us by His blood? Why do we sometimes remain in the outer courts of God's presence as though we had no place at the King's table? Our Dad delights in us all the time and calls us into the inner courts to His wonderful banquet table, where His banner over us is love!

Perhaps there are a number of reasons why we sometimes dally in the outer courts, but for now I think Holy Spirit is highlighting one in particular, which is simply this: We sometimes forget we are chosen by God, cherished by God and that we are His children and heirs!

We sometimes allow our circumstances to overwhelm us to such an extent that we respond to them in a soulish way rather that in our spirit. Instead of seeking a hiding place in Jesus' presence (the cleft in the rock) sometimes we stumble about as though we are in a dark place, momentarily forgetting the incredible truth of our Father's love and our inheritance in Christ. We sometimes become ensnared in thoughts of condemnation, we bow to criticism, and we sometimes become bitter. These are not God's best for His beloved! They cause darkness in our souls and we need to lay such things at the feet of Jesus and ask His forgiveness. The truth is that we are accepted, affirmed and forgiven in Christ. We are justified (put right) with God, we are redeemed (bought back) from sin and slavery to sin and we are sanctified (made holy and set apart) by Jesus (Ro 6:11). We have every reason to be joyful. We each have a destiny in God, which Holy Spirit will out work in His grace in our surrendered hearts.

God wants to remind all His children today about His wonderful grace. God's grace calls us to the altar of faith (Eph 2:8). God's grace is for always! It isn't just for the precious moment of salvation but for our entire lifetime. It keeps us safe in God's ways and embraces us in His love. Father, wants to pour out tenderness on His Bride TODAY, that we might know the hope of our calling in Christ and the wonderful enveloping presence of Jesus by his Holy Spirit.

May you know a fresh outpouring of God's love on your life today. Heaven declares, "You are a chosen, cherished, child of God."… not just sometimes but always! Hallelujah!

This comes from a lady whose nickname is Sweet-P :pink:
I dreamed I was at a family gathering as well as friends all in one place. However, I felt that I wanted to get away for awhile, so I went into my room (which for some strange reason was outdoors, in a beautiful garden setting). As I went into my room, I saw a dove there -- a beautiful white dove with a pinkish tinge on its breast and tail. I was so drawn to this dove. I called my husband to see the dove and asked him to bring me some seed for it. When he came to the room with the seed, he had to be very careful, gentle, speak softly and move slowly so as not to drive the dove away. I took some seed and put it down on the ground next to me, and immediately the dove flew over and began eating the seed. Then I put some seed closer to me; again, the dove came closer and ate from that seed. Suddenly, the dove flew over to me and landed on me! He took the seed that was in my hand and came up to my mouth and appeared to be feeding the seed to me with his beak!

The dove was very, very gentle and would not allow anyone else to get close except my husband; however, he would actually remain on me. I became extremely attached and fond of this dove. I felt very protective of it, and would not allow anyone or anything to disturb it, so much so that if anyone offended it and it flew away, I would become very upset and cry. I would go in my room and stay there, silently waiting and praying for the dove to return to me. He would finally return to me and kiss me!!

I noticed that this dove had no mate and it was "genderless," neither male nor female.

The dove seemed to look into people's hearts. Even when someone who appeared kind and friendly and honest approached the dove, he would look deeply into their eyes and know what their true heart and motives were, and if it was perturbing to him, he would fly off. After being with this dove for awhile, I started BECOMING like the dove -- he would impart his personality and senses to me. I became gentle, tenderhearted, sensitive and humble like this beautiful dove.

I also became very sensitive to other people, and like the dove I could "sense" other people's hearts and attitudes. If they were harsh or proud, or had false humility, I would become disturbed and not want to be near them...like the dove. There were times when some people would try to get close to me and the dove, and though they appeared "nice" and friendly, the dove would know immediately and completely their real nature.

So, I became like the dove and I also "knew" what other people were like in their heart. I was very protective of the dove and very bonded to it. I would much rather be with "my" dove than with another human being. This dove was the most important and cherished object of my life, and all I desired. I determined that I would give up everything in the world to have the presence of this beautiful dove.

Some people mocked me, calling me "the dove girl" in a sarcastic tone. But I didn't care...all I desired was this lovely dove. It was more precious to me than anything or anyone. We had a very close relationship, feeding and caring for each other. He would be waiting for me to come into my room and immediately fly to me and land on me, and even kiss me at times, and I would speak to him lovingly and stroke him.

My husband would be allowed into this special place with me and the dove, but if anyone else entered, the dove would fly away. And, oh, how my heart would break and I would cry until it returned to me.

Shalom Sweet-P! Awesome dream! Please read on...

***I dreamed I was at a family gathering as well as friends all in one place. However, I felt that I wanted to get away for awhile, so I went into my room which for some strange reason was outdoors, in a beautiful garden setting).***

The beautiful garden symbolizes the vitality of meeting Christ in the secret place. Hence, the importance of obeying His voice, to seek Him first, despite what else may be going on at that moment!

1 Samuel 15:22 Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

***As I went into my room, I saw a dove there--a beautiful white dove with a pinkish tinge on its breast and tail. I was so drawn to this dove.***

The Holy Spirit is always eagerly waiting for each of us in the secret place! You were so drawn by Jesus' unconditional love! Pink could symbolize emotional (breast) health and gaining victory over past defeats (tail), describing personal ministry received in the secret place!

***I called my husband to see the dove and asked him to bring me some seed for it. When he came to the room with the seed, he had to be very careful, gentle, speak softly and move slowly so as not to drive the dove away.***

The seed is the Word of God that will draw out the manifestation of the Holy Spirit's presence evidenced by meekness and peace! Lack of reverence, impatience, and or an opposing spirit would make the Spirit hide one's awareness of God's presence.

Mark 4:14 The sower sows the word.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

***I took some seed and put it down on the ground next to me, and immediately the dove flew over and began eating the seed. Then I put some seed closer to me; again, the dove came closer and ate from that seed. Suddenly, the dove flew over to me and landed on me! He took the seed that was in my hand and came up to my mouth and appeared to be feeding the seed to me with his beak!***

Speaking the Word, offering up the promises of God, will draw the Holy Spirit closer and closer to you, and tiz the Spirit that imparts understanding of the Word and Will of God, making the Word personal and alive in you...nourishing your spirit!

Matthew 4:4 But He answered and said, "It is written, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God."'

***The dove was very, very gentle and would not allow anyone else to get close except my husband; however, he would actually remain on me. I became extremely attached and fond of this dove. I felt very protective of it, and would not allow anyone or anything to disturb it, so much so that if anyone offended it and it flew away, I would become very upset and cry. I would go in my room and stay there, silently waiting and praying for the dove to return to me. He would finally return to me and kiss me!!***

This seems to speak about the matchless value of the anointing upon your life and about guarding against the spirit of offense, done by walking in love consistently, symbolized by your husband. As well, what an exhortation to be very very sensitive to the Holy Spirit's presence and perceived 'absence' and that if it does withdraw, making any necessary amends that would please the Spirit, ensuring its quick return!

Matthew 12:19-21 He will not quarrel nor cry out, nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets. A bruised reed He will not break, and smoking flax He will not quench, till He sends forth justice to victory; and in His name Gentiles will trust.

***I noticed that this dove had no mate and it was "genderless," neither male nor female.***

Galatians 3:7-8 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

***The dove seemed to look into people's hearts. Even when someone who appeared kind and friendly and honest approached the dove, he would look deeply into their eyes and know what their true heart and motives were, and if it was perturbing to him, he would fly off.***

Ephesians 4:1-3 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

Hebrews 4:12-13 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

2 Corinthians 5:9 Therefore we make it our aim...to be well pleasing to Him.

***After being with this dove for awhile, I started BECOMING like the dove--he would impart his personality and senses to me. I became gentle, tenderhearted, sensitive and humble like this beautiful dove.***

Been said, you become whom you behold, all the better to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus!

Romans 8:29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

2 Corinthians 3:17-18 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Ephesians 4:32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Ephesians 5:1-2 Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

Colossians 3:14-15 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

***I also became very sensitive to other people, and like the dove I could "sense" other people's hearts and attitudes. If they were harsh or proud, or had false humility, I would become disturbed and not want to be near them...like the dove. There were times when some people would try to get close to me and the dove, and though they appeared "nice" and friendly, the dove would know immediately and completely their real nature.***

Psalm 4:3 But know that the LORD has set apart for Himself him who is godly; the LORD will hear when I call to Him.

Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be misled: Bad company corrupts good character.

2 Corinthians 6:17-18 Therefore "Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you." "I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the LORD Almighty."

Colossians 2:8-10, 16-23 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ...Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God. Therefore if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations--"Do not touch, do not taste, do not handle," which all concern things which perish with the using--according to the commandments and doctrines of men? These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh.

***So, I became like the dove and I also "knew" what other people were like in their heart. I was very protective of the dove and very bonded to it. I would much rather be with "my" dove than with another human being. This dove was the most important and cherished object of my life, and all I desired. I determined that I would give up everything in the world to have the presence of this beautiful dove.***

Psalm 73:25 Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You.

Matthew 6:19-21 Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Matthew 13:44-46 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.

Colossians 1:18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

Colossians 3:1-4 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

***Some people mocked me, calling me "the dove girl" in a sarcastic tone. But I didn't care...all I desired was this lovely dove. It was more precious to me than anything or anyone. We had a very close relationship, feeding and caring for each other. He would be waiting for me to come into my room and immediately fly to me and land on me, and even kiss me at times, and I would speak to him lovingly and stroke him.***

They mock because they have Him not, nor know His love that surpasses all loves! Your wholehearted adoration and receptivity would certainly woo the Spirit immediately out of hiding!

Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on His law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.

Psalm 22:3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

Psalm 69:9 Because zeal for Your house has eaten me up, and the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me.

1 Samuel 13:14 ...the LORD has sought out a man after His own heart...

Mark 12:28-31 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked Him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?" "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."

Ephesians 3:17-19 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height--to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Ephesians 6:7-8 Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.

Philippians 3:7-11 But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

***My husband would be allowed into this special place with me and the dove, but if anyone else entered, the dove would fly away. And, oh, how my heart would break and I would cry until it returned to me.***

Could be a cautioning about distractions and idols that may hinder one's concentration in the secret place of prayer. The Spirit won't compete for one's attention. Loving devotion (symbolized by your hubby) and a contrite spirit will keep the Holy Spirit near! Could also be an exhortation for vigilance in prayer until the Spirit really shows up!

Isaiah 66:1-2 Thus says the LORD: "Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool. Where is the house that you will build Me? And where is the place of My rest? For all those things My hand has made, and all those things exist," says the LORD. "But on this one will I look: on him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at My word.

Luke 18:1 Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart...

2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
