Follower of Christ too said:I had almost forgot this dream, but your thread got me to thinking. Years ago just shortly before i surrendered myself to Jesus I had a dream.(At the time I had only read the four gospels and thot they were a lot alike) In this dream the entire land was barren. No trees, grass, food or anything. I was on a mountain where there were many others. Some were dying, ill and then the rest were like pharisees. I looked down the mountain and saw many people trying to get to the top but the dirt was loose and they kept slipping back down. I was desperate to help all those I could reach on the top of the mountain and I didn't know how. Then it occurred to me I was powerless. At that moment I knew God had the answers, so then I dropped down on one knee and raised my right hand to God and said "Lord if you want me to help these people it will have to be through your power" at that moment I felt the power of God surging through my body entering through my right hand. That was the end of the dream
Follower of Christ too,
Your dream obviously a Divine foretelling of you becoming a Christian!

As for the barren land, no grass, nor trees, nor food, nor anything...this describes an absolute utter lack of sustenance; no life without God! Jesus is not only our very breath, He sustains the whole Universe! Gives new meaning to these verses...
Matthew 4:4But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Acts 17:28 For in Him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also His offspring.
Hebrews 1:1-3 In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
Rather than be as a pharisee, who kept the letter of the law, but not the Spirit of the law and who would have shunned the ill and dying, your heart of compassion went out to those in dire need! Yet realizing your powerlessness, shows your recognizing that these hurting, oppressed people need Christ and that without Him, you could not help them! The power of God surging through your right hand is a clear confirmation that with your decision of surrendering to Jesus, especially to help others, you are indeed walking in the Way of Righteousness!

Matthew 9:35-38 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field."
