I had almost forgot this dream, but your thread got me to thinking. Years ago just shortly before i surrendered myself to Jesus I had a dream.(At the time I had only read the four gospels and thot they were a lot alike) In this dream the entire land was barren. No trees, grass, food or anything. I was on a mountain where there were many others. Some were dying, ill and then the rest were like pharisees. I looked down the mountain and saw many people trying to get to the top but the dirt was loose and they kept slipping back down. I was desperate to help all those I could reach on the top of the mountain and I didn't know how. Then it occurred to me I was powerless. At that moment I knew God had the answers, so then I dropped down on one knee and raised my right hand to God and said "Lord if you want me to help these people it will have to be through your power" at that moment I felt the power of God surging through my body entering through my right hand. That was the end of the dream

Follower of Christ too,

Your dream obviously a Divine foretelling of you becoming a Christian!
As for the barren land, no grass, nor trees, nor food, nor anything...this describes an absolute utter lack of sustenance; no life without God! Jesus is not only our very breath, He sustains the whole Universe! Gives new meaning to these verses...

Matthew 4:4But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Acts 17:28 For in Him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also His offspring.

Hebrews 1:1-3 In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

Rather than be as a pharisee, who kept the letter of the law, but not the Spirit of the law and who would have shunned the ill and dying, your heart of compassion went out to those in dire need! Yet realizing your powerlessness, shows your recognizing that these hurting, oppressed people need Christ and that without Him, you could not help them! The power of God surging through your right hand is a clear confirmation that with your decision of surrendering to Jesus, especially to help others, you are indeed walking in the Way of Righteousness!

Matthew 9:35-38 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field."

Appreciate you posting here! ;) What an inspiring testimony! :D

My best friend just died recently and I had a dream that We both were in a car and we wrecked and she hit the windshield and she was being sucked out of it and God was calling her out but the whole time she was reaching for me, calling my name and yelling for me to save her. what does this mean?
Hugggggggggggggggs kuntrygurl_26,

Whoa, you in an extremely traumatic time! Your disturbing dream may be from your mourning heart that misses best friend tremendously! And that if you could, you would have done anything to save her, yet it was Jesus' Sovereign timing to take her. Your sista's passing was completely out of your hands and control.

May these verses help comfort you and am certain you will be God's instrument to console others in their sadness...

Isaiah 53:3-4 Speaking of Jesus, He was...a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering...Surely He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered Him stricken by God, smitten by Him, and afflicted.

2 Corinthians 1:3-5 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.

Hello Alabamaman I have read your vision, and it appears to be God`s calling on your life. According to your vision God has called you to the ministry. Which ministry, what kind of ministry, I don`t know? You`ll have to inquire from the Lord! God will confirm his call, pay attention! to every thing and anything, hey your own heart tells you.

I'm gonna give a little history as to why I asked G-D to send me this dream. So this is pretty long.

My dad had cancer of the colon 7 years ago. He had 4 or 5 surgeries on his colon within the first 2 years after the cancer was found. He had Chemo and radiation treatments. He has been cancer free for the last 6 years. He routinely had to have colonoscopys (sp?), at first it was every six months then it went to once a year and then once every three years. Well he just had his third year checkup and the doctor found a blockage, so he couldnt do the colonoscopy. We had to go to the hospital the next day and he had an Barjum Xray. We wont know the results of this test until Tuesday. This disease is hereditary so all of his children, my children and so on will have to have these tests done or we could face the same things. My dad's father and his father and his father have all passed away because of this disease.

My dad has emphysema and an anuerysm right above his aortic valve (measures 2 1/2 inches) and possibly his colon cancer has returned.

Friday night before I went to sleep I prayed to G-D and asked him to send me a dream so that I would know what was gonna happen with my dad and this is the dream that was sent to me.

My dad and my brother's and I were out driving somewhere along an interstate. My dad was driving and we were in a mustang (mine). My brother's and I were in the backseat (we are all grownups). All of a sudden my dad pulls over to the side of the interstate and I asked him, "what are you doing"? At the same time I asked him this question I could smell something burning. He had dropped a cigarette and stopped to put out the fire. He did get the fire out.

The next thing I know we are carrying 2 mattresses into a 2 story house (mine also), my mom was there. One of the mattresses was a box springs and the top mattress was clear plastic and there was nothing in it but some coils of springs, other than that it was empty. I couldn't figure out what I was gonna do with these mattresses because you obviously couldn't sleep on them. I thought to myself that I have a bed frame upstairs so I'll put them in that.

When we walked into the house and my mom saw the mattresses she asked, "What is that"? My dad said that he had always wanted to drive a mustang and he accidentally burnt mine so the least he could do was buy me the mattresses. I could see my mom literally calculating how much they cost.

My older brother and I took the mattresses upstairs and we were going to put them in the bedframe but the frame already had mattresses in them and it was a twin size bed. These mattresses wouldnt fit because they were alot larger than the frame.

As I was coming down the stairs I was still wondering to myself what I was gonna do with those mattresses. As I stepped off the last step into the room where everyone was, my dad, my younger brother and my son were on the floor. My younger brother was being very rude to my dad. I asked him why he was being so rude. My brother reached over and grabbed my son by the head with both hands. I knew he was gonna break his neck and I screamed NOOOOO and jumped down on the floor to stop him. My brother is looking me right in the eyes and has the most evil look on his face and his eyes are undescribable.

I had screamed so long and so loud it woke me up. My chest hurt so bad that I couldn't go back to sleep (this was 1:30 in the morning). My spirit was so sad that I prayed and literally cried off and on until 4:40 am.

I'm wondering what does this mean. Can anyone help me interpret this dream?
Thanks,
Faith4us

Faith4us,

Praying the peace of Christ that surpasses all understanding upon you! Know that our Lord delights in the well-being of you and your family! The colon cancer is a generational curse and its power can be nullified and broken, as the Scriptures exhort that Jesus became a curse for us all!

Galatians 3:13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree".

Isaiah 53:4-5 Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.

I will pc you links about breaking generational curses! And am working on interpreting your dream too!

Thanks HumbleBee!! I appreciate you interperting my dreams.

I had another dream before this last one. All I can remember seeing is someone giving birth to a baby, and right after the baby was born it died. I did not see who it was that gave birth.

Some of the things going on right before this dream may have influenced it. My aunt's daughter-in-law is 6 months pregnant. Last saturday she was admitted to the hospital with viral meningitis. I called our Pastor that night and told him what was going on. Sunday morning our church prayed fro her and 2 days later she was released from the hospital. She and the baby are doing great. G-D is so good.

I also have found out recently that my daughter is pregnant. So these 2 things may have something to do with the dream.

I've had several similar dreams lately where I am searching for, or trying to save my little boy.
In one dream my mother was the one watching him and when I went to pick him up she said she thought he was with my brother-in-law. after finding my B.I.L , he told me my sister had him... after much panic and fear i finally found my son alone, but unharmed. The twist is as we turned to walk down the stairs on which i had found him, I saw my daughter laying face down in a puddle of blood...barely breathing. I was holding her and crying yet (in the dream) asking myself why I wasnt attempting to call 911...i forced myself to wake up from the dream and the heartache i was feeling took a long time going away.

Another similar dream ..... my son was lost...i was searching, and all i can remember was finding him, only yet again to find my daughter to be the one 'really' missing and causing heart ache.

A little insight into my current situation: My son ( adopted) is plagued with night terrors, rages, panic attacks, and other emotional troubles. My husband and I are putting a lot of effort into discipline and parenting with him, and I feel like because my little girl isnt so demanding and in special need, she gets left out a lot.
Could my dreams be a warning that I'm so worried about my son, I may "lose" my daughter in the process?

I'd like to share a dream I had some 20 years ago.

I had been praying and asking God for the gift of healing and I already knew at the time that I have been called as an intercessor. However, it breaks my heart to see people in pain, especially emotional pain.

I had a dream that many of my fellow church members where in a big room at the back of the church and they were lined up in one long line side by side...I laid hands on the person in the middle of the line and began to pray, suddenly everyone to the left and to the right of the person I was praying for began to fall (slain in the spirit as we called it) under the power of God.

Was that God showing me an answer to my yearnings for the gift of healing?

I have noticed that through the years people remark about "my touch" being soothing, and I know I have prayed for some who have been healed, but not by the laying on of hands...So is it intercession...or the gift of healing?

Hi, I like lighthouses!!

I have a re-occruing dream. I dream that I have to go back to college and take more classes or take some tests in order to actually get my degree! I have been out of college since Dec 95, and they gave me my diploma!! What does this mean?

Thanks.
I don't think it means anything. I have a degree in computer engineering and have the same kind of dreams-having to go back and take classes and tests that I already passed:cool: .

Sweet Shalom of God to you Sheena!

Would agree that your dreams be spotlighting your daughter to ensure that she doesn't get emotionally neglected, having a bleeding heart, so to speak, symbolized by her in a puddle of blood. You being already keenly aware of this may have influenced your dreams. God is merciful and has such compassion toward you for adopting a troubled child...He knows that your son needs love laaaaaaaaaaavished on him...as he expressing the past atmosphere he been in, bad character and mistreatment (?), while your daughter is not as needy. Could see her being a real blessing to him with her peaceful spirit! Certainly, heed your heart, acknowledging your daughter much and including her in ministering to her brother. :D

Jesus will certainly bind and hold your blended family together with His Great Love! He will transform your son before your very eyes and heal his heart, soul, and spirit! :prayer:

Deuteronomy 33:26-27 "There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides on the heavens to help you and on the clouds in His majesty. The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.

Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Colossians 1:17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

Would surely say your dream is a Divine confirmation that God has given you the gift of healing and intercession, they go hand in hand! :prayer:

Ok...here goes.... This past week in sermons, bible study, etc the word "dig" keeps noticably coming up. In addition last night I had a dream where I was shoveling moist dirt and a hand came up! I bend down and grab the hand and pull a person up. The person thanks me and tells me there a many more beneath me that are trying to get out. What's going on with this-I'm clueless!

rainbow, what an awesome dream God gave you!

Believing its message be about people EEEEEEEAGER to come to Christ for resurrection life and eternal salvation! Without Jesus, they are destined for decay in the grave ...that would explain their gratitude for you helping raising them up, by giving them knowledge of the gospel! :D So surmising that you a soulwinner, an evangelist in the making! :prayer:

Psalm 89:48 What man can live and not see death, or save himself from the power of the grave?

Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.

Hosea 13:14 "I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death. Where, O death, are your plagues? Where, O grave, is your destruction?

Mark 1:2-3 It is written in Isaiah the prophet: "I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way" "a voice of one calling in the desert, 'Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.'

Acts 26:16-18 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in Me.

Romans 6:3-5 Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. If we have been united with Him like this in His death, we will certainly also be united with Him in His resurrection.

2 Corinthians 5:17-21 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.

Thank you such much for your insight. I kind of already felt the same meaning, but to have it put so beautifully, and spiritually, really helped me understand. Our pastor annointed my husband and I last night with a prayer of deliverance for our whole family and I know His will, whatever that may be, will be done. God BLess You.

Humble Bee you did such a great interpretation of a dream I had years ago. So here's another one. I have had the same dream twice in the past month . I'm at a daycare center, to pickup this child named Priscilla, I go to her class and no one knows who I'm talking about, she cant be found, I'm broken hearted as I go from class to class searching for her, and my heart is so broke I cant keep back the tears. I talk to the teachers, but they seem so uninterested in my plight. Both times I wake up with my face bathed in tears because I cant find this child. I know of no one named Priscilla, but in the dream she seems to be related to me somehow, but I dont know if this dream has any significance to anything at all. But I have had this dream twice since my father died about 3 weeks ago.

Hugggggggggs Trish,

Discovered that Priscilla means venerable, deserving of honour and respect. Am assuming you had a good relationship with your Dad and really respected him, so have you felt like no one has sincerely acknowledged your grief about his death, nor shown up to comfort you? Especially there are those who should be there for you, because of your relationship to them, but they haven't recognized how much you hurting?

Jesus, a man of sorrows, certainly mourns with you! Blessed are ye that mourn, for ye shall be comforted! God counts your tears as precious!

Psalm 56:8 Record my lament; list my tears on Your scroll - are they not in Your record?

Psalm 126:5-6 Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy. He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy,
carrying sheaves with him.

Isaiah 53:3-4 He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we esteemed Him not. Surely He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered Him stricken by God, smitten by Him, and afflicted.

Thank you for that Humble Bee, I think its very significant that you said has there been someone that is not recognizing the hurt? That person is me. I have not taken or had the time recently to actually grieve for my dad, we we're very close and in the busyness of other things crowding in, I have not been able. I must take time to actually grieve. I guess in my avoidance of going through this process, it is coming out in dreams. Again, thank you for your insight.

Heres an odd dream I had early this morning

I am somewhere with a group of people and we are sining praise songs and two worship leaders take turns leading and all of a sudden we realize that we don't know the words (that the words of the song are wrong) like they are a forgein language or something. Then we are all puzzled and do not know what to do and want to leave, but we are unsure where we are.
