Dec 16, 2004

On April 8, 2002, I had a dream that I believe I am to share at this time. I dreamt that I was a missionary with three other women in a third world country. We planned to be there for some time as we had rented a place close to where we were to minister. The dwelling was connected to others like it, they were fenced in and were very run-down. As I left to meet someone for a job interview at a local cafe, I saw there were sheets and clothing hanging above the street drying. The clothes were old and dull in color, but one sheet was light blue. When I came into the cafe I noticed a puddle of fetid water on the floor. I went out to the alley where earlier I had seen a mop and brought it in to clean up the mess. There was no bucket so I took the mop back out to the alley to wring it out.

A frail, old man came up to me in the dark alley. It was now night. He was not threatening looking and seemed glad to find me. There, alone in the alley, he looked at me with resolve and spoke these words, "My life's work is about to be confirmed." Then he slumped over to his left side and he looked like he was about to die. I moved toward him to see if he was alright, but also to hear what was about to be confirmed. He looked straight at me and sternly proclaimed, "We must seek His face!" Then he reached toward me, took my hands and put them on either side of his cheeks so that his face was cradled in my hands. He continued to look intently at me. As I held his face he asked, "Where is my face?" I answered, "It is on your head." He said, "Where is my head?" I replied, "It is on your body." Then he firmly stated, "Remember this!"

He was still looking at me intensely with his face still in my hands when suddenly his eyes turned into lion's eyes! Then his face turned into a male lion's face! Everything faded from view and all I could see was the lion's eyes and face. At first I was startled, but then I realized that he was not the lion that seeks to devour, but rather the Lion of the Tribe of Judah! Slowly the lion's face faded, but the lion's eyes remained and stared directly into mine. I woke up, and in the dark of the night, I could still vividly see the golden lion eyes. (This stayed with me for weeks, and even now whenever I testify of this dream.) Then the Holy Spirit said, "Get up and write this down." I tried to lie there and convince Him I would be able to remember it. The Holy Spirit again told me to, "Get up and write it down." So I got up and wrote down this dream. (Hab. 2:2)

Interpretation:

The Location and Components:

The first part of the dream seems to be not as important as the later part, but these types of 'missionary' dreams are usually the most prophetic for me. Since the colorful laundry hanging above the street stood out, especially the blue sheet, it's significance seems to confirm revelation. Three women may be symbolic of Christ's 'inner circle' of friends, and third world countries eat at my heart. Dwellings close together and fenced denotes close community and safety in numbers and that we were to live with the commoners. A cafe is a familiar place to me as my parents owned a cafe, hotel and restaurant. A job interview: see 2 These 3:7-10. To work and live with those we came to minister seems to point that we were to become like the people there. See Acts 18:3, 4. We would have a greater chance to win them to Christ if we lived in the same manner as they did. See 1 Co 19:19-23. The fetid water I believe to be a symbolic of a lack of excellence in the world (just accepting a mess and letting it spoil rather than taking action to clean it). Not having a bucket seems to point to not always having all the tools needed to clean up a mess. An alley is a place where I spent a great deal of my childhood in exploration. Although it's a place to be cautious, for me it's a place of discovery. An old man, for the most part, is someone I respect and think of as being wise.

The Old Man

The old man looked similar to the older of 'the two witnesses' in the TBN movie, The Omega Code, and spoke (in English) with that same unusual accent. Symbolic of the 'witness' of the church as it exists today, the old man had refined the most important truth he learned into one final statement. I detected a hint of regret in his voice as he spoke, yet he was determined to make sure I understood. I had the impression that he was an old pastor who had served the Lord for years, but didn't fully understand this simple but profound truth until the very end of his life. He may have gotten so busy doing the work of the Lord, that he did not spend time developing a personal relationship with Christ Jesus. Because it seemed like God had specifically shown him to share this revelation with me - this has given me a great sense of responsibility to clearly convey this message.

I believe that the physical condition of his body represents that the 'old way' of doing things in the church is dying. The admonition given to us by the church now passing is: "WE MUST SEEK HIS FACE!" If we hold dear this charge, this new emerging church will be known around the world by the intimacy it shares with the Father, the Bridegroom our Lord Jesus Christ, and His Holy Spirit. We must take 'seeking His face' deeply into our hearts, and hold to it.

By having me place my hands on his face, I believe, the old man was physically illustrating the importance for us to hold onto what he was saying. We are to seek God's face in such a manner that we will hold on and not let go even when it looks scary. We have to learn to recognize and discern the Lord in all situations. When the lion's eyes and face appeared I felt a natural fear, but it immediately went away when I recognized the face to be that of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah ~ that being Jesus the Christ. In this dream, I believe I was representative of believers who are willing to hear the revelation of an old and dying generation, and to pass it to the next - like a runner passing a baton in a relay race. It is very important to receive impartation from the passing generation before it is too late.

THE ORDER:

The order of his questions is significant. First he asked me about the location of his face, and then where the head was found. To get to the face I had to find the Head, to find the Head I had to first find the Body. One reason I have held this dream so long was that the Lord instructed me to, "Go to the Body of Christ and ask what it means to them personally when they hear, 'We must seek His face.'" So, I inquired of many spirit-filled believers and I have now compiled the insights I received which witnessed to my spirit into this interpretation.

SEEK MY FACE:

Scriptures make it clear we are to seek God's face. See 1 Chron 16:11; 2 Chron 7:14; Ps 105:4; Hosea 5:15

First, we seek the Lord because His love draws us to Himself. As we come closer to Him, the more we love him in return. 1 John 4:19. In seeking God's face we are hoping to receive God's perspective in everything we see and do. When we seek His face, our face is turned towards Him. Since our face is the center of communication, when we look to Jesus He sees our expressions and can tell whether we are listening to Him and accepting what He is saying, or if we are rejecting Him. As intimacy develops with someone we love, we share our dreams, visions, goals and private thoughts with them. As we seek His face, we learn about His feelings, thoughts and emotions. We learn who Jesus is in truth. We learn things like what brings Him joy and what brings Him sorrow. He longs for the desires of His heart to become the desires of our heart. He does not want us to come to Him seeking His hand but for us to come seeking His face - that is to say - His desires. The Lord wants to have a private audience with each of us. The Holy Spirit is drawing us to seek Christ's face so we see His full expression and have open and honest communication with Him. He wants us to be intimate with Him in this way. When we are facing each other, God will reveal the mysteries of the kingdom to our hearts.

Isn't it interesting that when we confront something, we have to 'face' it. As I looked into the mirror one morning, I seemed to see something different. I asked the Lord what He was showing me and that is when I realized that we can see, hear, taste, smell and touch all within our face. Not only are all five senses located in our face, but it is the center of communication as well. Our words (inflection and tone) come from our mouth and facial expressions can be read when we talk face-to-face. We gain greater understanding when we look at a person and study their face as they speak to us. God's word, the Bible, is like a mirror. He reflects Himself in it and when we read it we become aware of what we are reflecting. When we do not reflect Jesus, then we are to repent (face it) and yield ourselves to be polished into that true reflection. When we become models of Christ, then we share the Father's love for children, the elderly, family members, friends, neighbors and even for our enemies. We then want His will for the world around us. That is when His glory has risen upon us! See Is 60:1-5 It is not about seeking the blessings of God's hand, but about developing a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus. See Matt 6:33

THE HEAD:

The head has two significant parts that I thought about in the dream as the old man was speaking to me. The first is that Christ is the Head of the Church, and second the husband is the head of his wife. See Eph. 5:23. We must honor Christ as the Head of the church. May no man take Jesus' place as Head, or they will in essence be placing 'the hand', which is what the church refers to as 'the five fold ministry,' and obscuring the face of God. To illustrate this stand in front of a mirror and take your hand and place it in front of your face. Now look and see how much of your face can be seen. Christ is the Head of the Body! May the 'hand' do its duty to serve the Lord by grooming the Head and The Body's many parts. See 1 Co 12; Romans 12:4-10; Eph 4:11-13; Rev 3:22. In the second part, God is offering protection for wives through their husbands. May the husbands also find protection in following God's directive for marriage. See Eph 5:21-33.

THE BODY:

The Body is the individuals who believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He was born of a virgin, was crucified, died, was buried and on the third day He was resurrected. Those who believe in Him and have called upon His name are born anew into the Body of Christ and make up The Church. Each member is part of the Body of Christ, and is in effect, a soldier, an ambassador of Jesus Christ, a temple of the Holy Spirit and the emerging Bride of Christ. See 2 Tim 2:3; 1 Co 6:19; 2 Co 5:20; Rev 19:7-9.

THE LION'S EYES AND FACE:

The eyes of a lion are so penetrating. The closer you get to a lion when it looks straight into your eyes, the more deeply terrifying it becomes. In the dream, terror was my initial reaction, especially since its face was in my hands, but I quickly recognized it was Jesus' eyes piercing my soul. See Heb 4:13; Rev 1:14; 1 Co 3:9-16. Because of His great love for me as a believer the fear passed through me (John 3:16). As His face disappeared and His eyes remained, I believe God was showing me that His eyes continually seek those who worship Him in spirit and in truth (as opposed to those who worship in flesh and emotion). In effect, the Lord is seeking our face too. God is seeking the seeker. See John 4:23 and Jeremiah 29:12-14.

CONCLUSION: WORSHIP IS KEY

When seeking God's face, we must worship Him with no strings, plans, or our own personal agendas attached. Even those things that God has promised us must be put on the altar and willingly sacrificed. We do not want to be found guilty of honoring the Lord with our lips when our hearts are far from Him. See Mark 7:6. If anything is lifted up in our hearts as we worship then we must fervently seek to illuminate those things from coming between us and our Lord. Heartfelt praise and worship are keys to seeking God (as are prayer and fasting). We must focus upon His countenance as He inhabits and is enthroned in our praises. There is so much written in the Scriptures on praise and worship the list of references would be overwhelming, but to start - meditate on Psalms 22:3; 9:9-11; 61:7, 8; 107:19-22, 31, 32, 43 and see where the Lord leads you from there. It is a great study for all believers. As we praise Him, He dwells in our midst, and that is when we will see His face. When we see His face then we must listen and pay close attention to what He is saying to us.

The Lord is coming soon and when He sees us face to face He will be asking each of us, "Who do you say I Am?"

Church, WE MUST SEEK HIS FACE!

Note: Four months after I had this dream the Lord put a book into my hands written by Dr. Dale A. Fife, The Secret Place; Passionately Pursuing His Presence. I would highly recommend your reading it. If you are serious about seeking God's face, it will bring fullness to your search. It is important to look up each Scripture reference (both in his book and in this writing). Even if you are sure you know it, the Holy Spirit will reveal volumes of His manifold wisdom to you if you will. God bless you in your search!

Picture a big food warehouse, like a big grocery store warehouse that all the distributors in the area come to get their shipments. Picture roll up doors and high docks that the big tractor-trailers back their trailers to be filled with food and taken to a location to be distributed.

The vehicles represent the People or the Ministry that God has called them to. They come to the “ Body of Christ” which is the Food Warehouse to get filled up, filled up with all the Food spiritually they will need to be able to take outside either to the nations or just locally everyday. There is international and local delivery scheduled.

What is happening is the truck is getting filled to the brim with the food, then the driver comes to get the truck after they are done and finds out that his truck has been vandalized. The tires have been slashed, the windshield is smashed in and there are dents all up and down the body of the truck. The truck has been vandalized so bad that now he cannot take the truck out for the deliveries scheduled. The driver couldn’t see what was going on because he was inside helping to load the trailer. When the trucks back up to the ramp, it is a very tight fit, so all that you can see is the inside of the trailer, you cannot see the outside of the truck until you get ready to leave.

Now all the Food is going to spoil and the deliveries scheduled will not be made because the truck cannot be moved from being vandalized. “ An enemy has done this!” they replied, but no, it is our brothers and sisters in Christ that have done this!

The Food warehouse represents the church; we come to be Spiritually Filled or to get Food to nourish our spirits and to be filled as a vessel of God so we can give it away to others. Some are for single purposes, some are being filled for ministry but all are to be filled and distributed according to God’s plan.

What is happening is we are coming to church and being filled and getting ready for Delivery or getting ready to Step Out into the call that God has placed on our lives, but by the time that our spirit is full or our truck is full to capacity, we step out of the pew and find that we have been vandalized, that our very own brothers and sisters in Christ have been doing this to us. Our tires have been slashed, our windshield has been shattered and our doors have been beat in.

Our brothers and sisters in Christ have been instilling doubt and unbelief inside us to where it is popping our tires and disabling us from stepping out. They have been gossiping and throwing things at us in the spirit to where it has put dents in our truck, our armor, and has dented and wounded us badly.

The window represents the vision that God has given us, the clear purpose and plan that God has for us has been distorted because our church family has thrown their Opinions at us and has broken the vision that God has placed on His peoples lives. A person cannot see straight with a Broken Windshield or a Broken Vision.

The People without Vision parish!! All the things that God has been depositing inside of us are spoiling. We are becoming Spoiled Rotten vessels from the things in us that are not being distributed properly. It has become easier to walk away from the broken down truck, or ministry, than to fix the problems and to continuing distributing the Food and stay on track with God’s plan and purpose for your life.

There is a lot of Healing that needs to take place to the Body of Christ around the world. There are a lot of Deliveries that have never reached their destination because of all the Broken Down Vessels. A lot of people are still Starving because they never received the shipment that God had planned for them. The churches are full of Broken Down Vessels. It looks like a Junkyard of ministries that are rusting. The people have lost all vision and have forgotten what God has called them to, and are now so busy in their everyday life that they just don’t think about it. The Body of Christ has also forgot them.

God is bringing healing to the Body of Christ and is coming to repair them. His angels are coming to do Body Repair to the Body of Christ to fix everything that we His people have inflicted on His children. All the damage that we have caused, the Lord is going to bring healing to those who have been wounded and permanently disabled from gossip, slander, lying tongues and lack of support. Whatever has kept you from God’s will being done and fulfilled ministry from coming forth. God is bringing a supernatural healing to your spirit to heal you from all the wounds that have been caused by the family of God. He will repair your tires, (give you the plan) He will repair your windshield, (give you a clear vision again for His purpose for your life) and will repair your body. He will strengthen your armor and fill you with a new shipment, a new infilling of His spirit so you will rise above and come out of that pew at church to make sure that the next shipment is On Time. God is on a Time Schedule because there isn’t much time left so it’s very important that this happens quickly. It’s time for restoration to come to All Ministries that have been in the junkyard.

Get ready in 2005 for the Body Repair to come over you and the Body of Christ so we can line up with God’s will for our lives and make sure the next delivery is on time.

I posted six dreams on or about 3 November. Your interpretations were correct on three of the six. So far...

One of the dreams came to pass the night before last. I am speechless. I wondered (doubted in a sense, Lord forgive me!) if the dreams were the work of God until one actually came to pass. I'm still a bit confused about one of the dreams but after what happened the night of the 17th, I'm convinced that God is working in my circumstances. As I said, I'm speechless. I just can't describe it. God is incredible. I'd love to explain but I just don't know if it would make sense to anyone but me.

I love you Humblebee. I pray that God's anointing would fall on you in a double portion.

Double...

TY JESUS!

Isaiah 55:10-12 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

I had a dream where i had been accepted to train as a nurse (even though usually only those with three previous years training were accepted). i was with some nurses and we were preparing for a group of paralysed men to arrive. during this i was aware i was unprepared, i couldn't find the right clothes to put on, and didnt' even know how to fold the sheets. It was getting close to when the men would arrive and so i went in search of the head nurse to tell her i had no training. when i found her there was a woman who obviously had a problem she needed to talk to the head nurse about but as gently as possible i interupted and told the head nurse i had no previous training in nursing, i was trained in other things but not in nursing and i thought she should know. she was very surprised i'd been accepted into the program with no prior training but that was the only thing she said so I headed back to the ward/tent to tell my team leader's nurse that i had no training and on the way saw that the paralysed men and their families were arriving.
it was an anxious dream and i woke up feeling unprepared.
don't know if it was a God dream or not, do you have any thoughts on it?
Many thanks

I hope I'm posting this right. Here it goes.
I was awake when I saw this..so it was not a dream.

I saw a photograph..only very life-like. In the picture were two cities. The first in the upper left corner and the other in the lower right. Somehow I knew these two cities were going to war (it didn't have a war on terror feel, though).

I decided to focus in on the first city. It was huge...made up of those Mexican mud houses. It was night time in the city which caused shadows to cover certain areas. So, I was thinking that the city was Babylonian. However, on almost every house were front porch lights. So, I just knew that it couldn't be.

All around the city were oceans. It looked like one big ocean but I knew it was supposed to be several. Also around the city was a barrier/border made of interconnected rock. It wasn't a cliff. It looked like the enormous rocks you see on coasts.

On the part of the rock border closest to the other city a name was painted. I was trying to decipher what it was (I was thinking Babylon or something) and then it popped out at me in white letters---Spirit. I never would have thought of that. A little ways further on the same rock was a letter by itself. It was a red "L" turned upside down.

(After going over the vision several times...I remember the "L" not being completely straight...so it could have also been a "7". Perhaps it was both at the same time. But my initial thought was an upside down "L").

I decided to focus in on the other city to see who or what "Spirit" was up against but that part of the picture was torn away.

Any ideas on any of it? I have been praying for more clarity/revelation, but I've yet to receive it. I'm not sure if it is personal or for all. So, any help would be nice. Thanks.

Lovesherald, am stretttttttttttching, possible insight interspersed...

***I saw a photograph..only very life-like. In the picture were two cities. The first in the upper left corner and the other in the lower right. Somehow I knew these two cities were going to war (it didn't have a war on terror feel, though).***

A photograph as in "get the picture" tends to symbolize a Divine call for keen understanding. The two cities could represent a divided church.

***I decided to focus in on the first city. It was huge...made up of those Mexican mud houses. It was night time in the city which caused shadows to cover certain areas. So, I was thinking that the city was Babylonian. However, on almost every house were front porch lights. So, I just knew that it couldn't be.***

Mexicans are tanned and could symbolize Christians, they been exposed to the Son! Mud could refer to the Scripture that likens people to jars of clay. The shadows and porch lights could signify even and especially in a dark world, Christians shine brightly all for the glory of Jesus! :holy:

2 Corinthians 4:5-7 For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this allsurpassing power is from God and not from us.

***All around the city were oceans. It looked like one big ocean but I knew it was supposed to be several. Also around the city was a barrier/border made of interconnected rock. It wasn't a cliff. It looked like the enormous rocks you see on coasts.***

The many oceans looking like one big ocean could represent Christ's Body made up of many members. Working together peaceably, they would appear as one entity. The barrier of interconnected rock could symbolize the blessing and protection of God when brethren dwell together in unity!

1 Corinthians 12:12 The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ.

Psalm 133:1-3 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; as the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

***On the part of the rock border closest to the other city a name was painted. But my initial thought was an upside down "L").***

The white letters could signify the holiness of this other city that is sealed by the Spirit, even though it is separated from the first city. The upside down red L could indicate that somehow a loving connection between the two cities been hindered. A 7 tends to symbolize completion, meaning that Jesus will indeed unite His Body, as He promised! :amen:

John 17:11, 20-23 I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name–the name You gave Me–so that they may be one as we are one...My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in Me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as You are in Me and I am in You. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that You have sent Me. I have given them the glory that You gave Me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and You in Me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that You sent Me and have loved them even as You have loved Me.

***I decided to focus in on the other city to see who or what "Spirit" was up against but that part of the picture was torn away.***

This could confirm that the church fights against members of its own Body. It has torn itself apart. :(

However, Jesus will lead His Body in triumph!

I had a dream recently, and I am interested in what people with gifts and experience in this area, would make of it.

I woke up in the morning after a vivid dream.

In the dream I had come across a large pint sized jar of sweet beer in the fridge at church. My Pastor was there, but not really paying attention; it was alright if I drank the beer, but there was no obligation to drink it. The beer originated in England and was so honey sweet it was sickly. It was unpleasant to drink, but I somehow felt compelled to drink it. The liquid only went half way down the jar, then the bottom half of the jar was thick dregs. It was difficult, but I drank all the liquid down to the dregs.

When I woke up from this dream I actually felt sick as though I had just finished actually drinking it.

Then two days later I had a second dream, that was very short:

In the dream I was soaring like an eagle high above the ground. There seemed to be cliffs below and possibly mountains behind me. It was exhilarating and not at all frightening.

peace...
Simon

God's Peace be multiplied to you Cephas! :D

Possible insight...the beer was in the church fridge, which would have been in the kitchen...kitchen, as in the heart of the home (or church), could represent heart. Maybe you are being shown your pastor's heart.

First a definition for dregs...corrupt or defiling matter contained in a liquid; refuse; grounds; sediment; hence, the vilest, most 'worthless' part of anything; as in the dregs of society.

So maybe this dream could be saying that your pastor isn't paying attention to the poor. A heart of apathy may not compel him to minister to them even though Jesus came to seek and save the lost!

Your drinking the liquid down to its dregs could show that you truly have Christ's heart and are wholehearted willing to follow Him and His example...going into the hiways and biways to find those that really need Jesus! Drinking even the dregs also acknowledges your deep and reverent gratitude toward your Lord who, though under no obligation, did willingly drink His cup of excruciating suffering on the Cross of Calvary to its very dregs, securing your eternal salvation, mine, and all those whom will receive Him!

Simon Peter said:
In the dream I had come across a large pint sized jar of sweet beer in the fridge at church. My Pastor was there, but not really paying attention; it was alright if I drank the beer, but there was no obligation to drink it. The beer originated in England and was so honey sweet it was sickly. It was unpleasant to drink, but I somehow felt compelled to drink it. The liquid only went half way down the jar, then the bottom half of the jar was thick dregs. It was difficult, but I drank all the liquid down to the dregs.

Believing this second dream affirms Jesus' immense joy over you and your willingness to wholeheartedly obey Him, to do what He did, ministering to the downtrodden! Your committment to Christ, living out your faith, will give your Lord much glory and bring you such spiritual liberty and exhilarating fulfillment on many realms!

Simon Peter said:
In the dream I was soaring like an eagle high above the ground. There seemed to be cliffs below and possibly mountains behind me. It was exhilarating and not at all frightening.

This comes from Tracie. My interpretation follows.

In the dream I'm following behind my g/daddy because he is up in age and he really shouldnt be driving. But I told him that I would follow him to make sure he will be ok getting to where he wanted to go, he loves to drive. On the way up a side street, it was a crowd of people standing out in the street blocking traffic. So I noticed they were doing something at a church that was sitting on the side street way off. So the traffic was slow enough that I could get out of my car and be nosey about what was going on. Now the weather in the dream was spring time. As I was walking up the side walk, I noticed the men and women laying next to each other on the sidewalk. These were the Pastor and Associate Pastor and their wives being measured for glass coffins. Now this church had a cemetary on the side of it. I walked closer and noticed the dead that was already buried (above ground) in a glass coffin (freshly done) fully dressed with a hat, gloves, jewelry and one had a bible in their hand. This did blow my mind, and I shook my head and said "showboating while alive, showboating after death." Well I got back into the car and started back following my g/daddy. And that was it.

My Interpretation:

Sweet Shalom Tracie! Surmising that your g-daddy represents God the Father. He seems to be showing you church leaders steeped in pride, vainglory, drawing attention to themselves, instead of deferring to Christ, bringing Him glory. God obviously opposes the proud, so though they think they are spiritually alive, they are dead. You seeing them on the side street way off could symbolize that they are preaching a false gospel, doing their own thing, and are way off the narrow path of our Lord and His righteousness that leads to life!

Maybe have they preached more about keeping up outward appearances, than of Jesus and His crucifixion? Furthermore, they may balk at the necessity for carnal crucifixion and inward sanctification? In His day, Christ spoke vehemently against the legalistic, self-righteous Pharisees who ensured that the law was kept to every jot and tittle, yet inwardly their hearts were far from the 2 Greatest Commandments of Divine love and mercy toward others.

The cemetary on the side of the church could confirm that pride leads to a proverbial fall and that especially arrogant ones in leadership will be sidelined and put out of the church! The coffins above ground could symbolize superficial spirituality.

You keep your eyes on your Heavenly Father, follow His lead, just as Jesus in all humility did only what He saw His Father doing and that was loving sincerely with actions and committment!

Applicable Bible Verses:

Matthew 6:1-8 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret Himself shall reward thee openly. And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask Him.

Matthew 23:27 Woe...scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites...like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness.

Luke 18:9-14 Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, "God, I thank You that I am not like other men--extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.' And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, "God, be merciful to me a sinner!' I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

Oh I had another dream... I just wanted to thank you, Humblebee, for your call to get back in the Word. It surely does matter, because when I leave it, the doubt starts seeping back in - you'd think I would get wise to that...

In this dream, I was with my wife (I take it she was, but I am single - I don't even have an interest) and we were on a road-trip in the wilderness. It was going to storm out and we found a shelter of some sort. She didn't want to go to the higher ground where it was, but I did, because of how much it was raining and the wild animals. I think she finally agreed with me. The shelter was nothing more than a roof with open walls in some places, but it felt safe and it was off the ground, like on stilts.

Then we were all on the road again - it was day now. There were lots of other people on the road - a traffic jam maybe. A man in another car realized his daughter had gotten out of the car and we found her at this roadside toy stand.

Then my other friend was with us and he bought a teddy bear from the stand for my other-other friend's wife - we found her in her house... she had two kitchens and she preferred to meet us in the empty, deserted kitchen - it looked dusty and not used, but I think she was planning on making it into the main kitchen (their real house always had a very cluttered kitchen). He hasn't been friendly with them because he dislikes their 5-year-old daughter - she can be quite a little terror.

That was it. God bless you, Humblebee.

For your pondering Penumbra,

This could be a Divine foretelling...when you do get married that God ay lead you two into a faith-building wilderness of sorts in order to bring you to higher ground in Him! Your wifey may be timid (didn't want to go higher) in terms of spiritual warfare symbolized by the storms and wild animals. Willingness to go with the flow of the Holy Spirit will certainly secure for you both the protection and provision (roof...felt safe) of your Most High God!

This dream seems to be about the mercy of Jesus! Your friend giving the 5 year old a teddybear could show that she needs the loving comfort of the Holy Spirit. She may be reflecting the troubled atmosphere in her home  Kitchen, as in heart of the home, tends to symbolize heart, so could symbolize the state of the Mom's heart...empty...has she abandoned (deserted) her daughter emotionally? :( Planning to make her deserted kitchen the main kitchen could show how she may mistreat her daughter in the future, unless there is Divine intervention. :prayer: Cluttered kitchen could imply a cluttered mind and life, so hence not a lot of quality family time spent together and could be the cause of their daughter's vehement behaviour.

I had a new dream last night. I was in an unhappy kind of house, it had low ceilings and it was dark...it seemed to have been purchased for me. It "seemed" like a friend named Linda was there and she had bought the property for me. I did not want to live there, but was accepting it...looking thru the rooms...one door opened to a floor that seemed liked asphalt covered with a coat of paint...it was not pleasing to me.

Then I went outside , saw other buildings on the property, they were humble shabby things, but had plants and roses climbing around them...they were humble but pleasing to see.

The I began to walk and could see how big this property was...a very large peice of land...a rectangle shape...I walked to the west end? east end? and saw the ground was dryer but not parched...rain must have watered the ground at times; a large cedar tree is growing there. I say in the dream, I will build a better house here...won't have to disturb the buildings at the other end...it seems important not to tear them down.

I'm also seeing how valuable the land is...the buildings don't seem like much, but the land is valuable.

I go back to the other end of the property, I can see a river bed goes length wise with the property, there is water in it but it could hold more water. Then, I'm in a power boat...even in shallow water on my way back to the buildings.

When I get to "my" dwelling, I'm inside...I hear someone say: the pump is broken and water is flooding the house. I feel there is a lot of underground water at this end...the land looks watered.

The I wake up...had to take my dogs outside. When I got back to sleep I'm in that dream again.

Now the buildings have greatly improved...I did not build anything...but the shabby buildings are now large...well made...I'm inside a large room, like a school auditorium and the ceiling is very high...very well made with lots of finished architecture...all wood work...very nice. It seems like this Linda person is there too.

Then, I'm in another room, also large...it seems built for royalty, but not finished...the ceiling is high, but made of thick, cottage cheese like stucco...lots of ornate mouldings are being put in place...not finished...it feels very romantic and snuggly in there even tho it is a big room.

I see a lady sitting at a table, she is dressed in a plain cotton dress and has a green bottle of water to drink...there is a wine glass but it is not being used. And someone is sitting across from her. I "think"...it is the Lord.

This dream feels like my "life"...somehow.

God's sweet transcending peace be multiplied to ye angelwind!

For your musing, insight interspersed...

This confirms that you been enduring inescapable (purchased for you) trying circumstances, feeling shut-in, hard pressed on many sides, with a heavy heart (low ceilings, dark). Surmising that Linda may represent Jesus; you know He with you even though you don't see Him; and you are accepting your situation, trusting His Sovereignty over your life. You have seen many hard (asphalt) hearts and/or spiritual superficiality (coat of paint)? Yet you knew this was not pleasing to God.

Tiz humbling to be shut-in, though inexplicably pleasing to encounter Jesus, the Rose of Sharon and receive spiritual nourishment to flourish, bearing fruit all for the furtherance of His Kingdom and all for His glory!

Being shut-in may have opened up more liberating spiritual experiences for you, and even though dry in terms of Christian fellowship, Jesus has kept you thoroughly encouraged (rain). Christ could be represented by the cedar and you are willing to build a better life with Him as your firm foundation, so He has set you apart to do just that! :D The buildings at the other end could symbolize the people that He has separated you from and would be important to not criticize them (tear down). The land being valuable could signify that even though the people may be spiritually apathetic, they are valuable to Jesus because of what He has planted and growing in them! :prayer:

This would confirm that Christ is with you and with them, though they need more of Him, to be filled with the Holy Spirit! You in a power boat in shallow water would be a Divine Call to launch out deeper into the river of God!

This could well symbolize that the Holy Spirit will come upon you and your entire household! Bringing floods of spiritual refreshing!:amen:

Greatly improved buildings (deeper foundations of faith) seem to affirm the salvation of your household! School tends to symbolize the school of the Holy Spirit; being in a large room with a high ceiling, where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty and Divine revelation! Finished architecture and wood work would symbolize Christ's finished work on the Cross of Calvary that pleased His Father to the utmost! Jesus' death, resurrection, and ascension has already assured the salvation of your household and reconciliation of relationships! Jesus is with you and your family! The architecture would also confirm of long lasting affects of Damascus like encounters for you and your family!

This an exhortation of our Lord's good work in progress in your life and that of your family! Jesus has already set to wooing you one and all into His House forever! He is the Chief cornerstone of your lives and will certainly lovingly sustain you in the process!

Cotton would symbolize spring and that resurrection life! The green bottle of water, that your spiritual growth will be furthered by the water of the Word! The unused wine glass could symbolize how very spiritually thirsty you are! Blessed are ye who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for ye shall be filled!

I sure hope this doesn't sound shallow. It was just the only was I knew to express it. My dream.

I remember my family and friends standing around in a half circle in front of me. Each was dressed up and I was in a wedding dress. They all kept offering and withdrawing their arms (toward and away from me). I noticed that they had small bouqets in their hands. They were urging me to marry some guy. I didn't even know him but apparently he was so in love with me. Somehow I knew that this guy was a really nice and caring soul and I gave in even though I knew for a fact that I loved someone else.

I wound up marrying an older, short, fat, Mexican man with a mustache. I kept trying to rationalize my decision, telling myself that I did want to marry a kind man and this guy was kind, if nothing else. So the way he looks shouldn't matter, but I knew deep down that his looks weren't what was bothering me.

I remember feeling loved by this guy (now my husband) but I was just kind of there as if trying to be nice or paying charity or pity or something. We arrived at "our" new house, which happened to be a mansion! So, this guy was rich, too. It didn't seem too bleak to be married to this guy. We walked into the front entrance and immediately I was staring face up at the ceiling because my husband had dipped me (like we were dancing). I remember laughing and kicking my leg up like all the movies show people doing when they're dipped. I even had a hat in my hand and my arm cast out! I could see the entire entryway. Everything was trimmed in shiny gold. The floors were black and white tile. The mansion was spotless. Right in front of me was a spiral staircase (carpeted). I knew what was up there-the bedroom.

I really didn't want to "sleep" with this guy. I didn't even know him. I just married him because he was nice and my family wanted me to. Now I had to play wife to a stranger forever? Eventually, we went up to the bedroom and everything was white, even the bed (which was covered in satin). Suddenly, I was in a ankle-length tightly fitted white/cream colored silk nightgown and was being carried to the bed. My "husband" kind of plopped me on the bed:).

Next thing I knew, the fat Mexican guy was half naked, wearing only boxers and his huge gut was hanging over. And do you know what I did? I actually "slept" with him! Thankfully, it wasn't shown in my dream. I just knew that I had.

I guess it was later on while the guy was sleeping that I felt so sad. I knew that I loved someone else and now I was married to some stranger. Everything I had (except for the outward appearance of my husband) should have me happy, but inwardly I was scared. I got up and it was dark. I walked from the bed to a big picture window which took up half the wall. When I looked out all I could see was solid baby blue nothingness. As if I were high up in the sky. I gazed out the window, saw a vague reflection of myself, and touched the glass. Then, I began thinking like the characters in the movies. (ya know you think the person's talking until you see their lips aren't moving). I said, "God, will I still be able to marry the right guy, if I'm already married to someone I don't love?"

Then I woke up.

If that dream were true, that would be scary. I was so anxious in my dream because I knew I had made a mistake and might miss out on my one true love.

In the "dream of kissing an atheist" post, you speculated that I would have a future with the girl I identified as Carmen. I cannot help but wonder how you would respond to an even more romantic series of dreams I have had for several years now about another individual from my past. These make an even more compelling case for marriage.

My point is that if you are suggesting marriage, when there is no evidence within the dream itself to suggest it, then it would be interesting to find out your analysis of dreams that strongly suggest it. I am not asking for any sort of interpretation, but if you are really interested, I can send you a PM.

This is a dream that my daughter had several years ago that I can't forget, I don't know about her. First off to give you a little background. She was about 17 at the time and she does not live for the Lord. Here is what she told me.

She woke up crying out for me and I went to her room.
She kept telling me that her hands hurt and around her head hurt. I said what do you mean she said "You know like Jesus. Like I have thorns around my head and nails in my hands."
That is all she told me. She cried with pain for a short time then went back t sleep.

About 3 yrs later I was in church crying out to the Lord for her salvation and I had a vision of her kneeling at the cross! I took that as a promise of her salvation.

Than about six months ago or so I was in church and I saw Jesus walk by very slowly. He had on like a prayer shawl and he went to the front of the church like to the alter. that was all I saw.
