Says the man wearing a fishbowl on his head.
Guess it stings to think of so called science as a present state earth and area thing. I understand. But it is a therapy that will benefit the truth seeker.

The basic motto and creed of so called science is this..

No. Evo boards cannot tolerate truth or allowing the other side to talk. Not unless they bridle their tongue and are fairly inept and clueless enough to be considered no danger anyhow.

Truth, in this case, is subjective.

No one except you and maybe AV think of it that way.

I guess that person is done.

There's really nothing to be done with. dad isn't serious. He isn't actually concerned about convincing anyone about his far-fetched fantasies. I have doubts whether he even really believes what he writes, because he has many of the marks of a dedicated Poe, but because of that law it's nearly impossible to tell if he is really a deluded fundamentalist or just faking the part.

Regardless. Even assuming he's being genuine. dad spends a great deal of time posting on this site and "defending" his ideas with a "rubber and glue" approach. He likes posting on these forums because within the little fishbowl of CF, he can pretend to be a great debater, defeating one non-believer after another in his own head. And he can do so because there are enough like-minded fish in the CF bowl that will agree with him... or at least take his side in a "bible vs science" breakdown.

But this is not something he can do in real life... and I'm fairly sure he knows it. Everything he posts on these forums is so B.S.C. that if he plied this to a live audience of non-believers, the laughter would be just too demoralizing to bear. dad would be the worst kind of evangelist in real life if he actually said these things.

So ultimately, trying to debate dad is useless, in the sense that you won't get him to admit to anything. He doesn't have to, he doesn't have an audience holding him up to real scrutiny. It's far better to just treat him as the clown he acts, and let him decide whether he wants to put up with that or not.

There's a topic to this thread? I thought it was just you being Chuckles the Clown. Dance for our amusement, Chuckles.
Sometimes one can read the OP to try and dtermine a topic. If that is a bit much for the attention span, often the title of the thread can help.

Actually people on a science forum tend to sometimes know a little about science, and even the bible sometimes. The average Joe or Jane on the boulevard cafe is often more concerned with other things, and once they are in a position of defending their evolutionary misconceptions, they crumble into dust faster than the waitress can bring the drink.

Couldnt have said it better.

One of the reasons i find cf so entertaining (from a human behavior standpoint) is observing posters and how they justify their positions. Determining the poes from the one's who actually believe what they write is all part of the entertainment.

Yeah... I don't believe for a second you've ever done this.

Oh I read the op. It was full of nonsense and hysteria. It was self evident that you were not looking for serious discussion

Time is a part of a light year. Time must be the same all the way out to the end of any measure. You are kaput.

Observation of the decay of cobalt in Supernova 1987a at the same rate seen on Earth. Same passage of time.
Your link didn't work on my computer. But distance has to be known, before the decay observed takes on meaning. No? Distance and size depend on time being the same all the way. Parallax uses time as you know. To get 2 sides of the triangle, time is intricately woven in.

If SN1987a were for example, only 2 light years away, do you think the calculations would be accurate for decay, and the other claims?
