Light years is a time measure

Cities are full of them. The modern term is high rise. When we traveled after the flood, yes, we might live in a cave for awhile. Maybe even use it often as a camp base! Heck, some might even live there. That doesn't mean that at the same time other men did not live in a palace!

Black holes are inferred I think, because of stuff behaving a certain way. They are basically a belief. If the stuff behaving the way we see does so for other reasons..presto...no black hole needed. They need black holes to explain stuff using earth laws!

I don't understand your issue with the dates. Gods word 2-3 thousand years ago is that the earth is 6 thousand years old. He was telling people that 2-3 thousand years ago. Thus, since time has passed (unless you want to say the bible isn't that old) while the date in the bible hasn't been revised to take into account the time after it was written, then the world has aged an additional 2-3 thousand years since the bible was written. Unless you want to say the earth is un aging, it is now older than it states in the bible just because time has passed. It would be like saying I am still 12 years old based on a birthday card written 6 years ago, as if the time between now and then has no relevance to my age, which is ridiculous.

It didn't go by when the first copy of God's word to man happened to be penned! It started with the years from Adam till Adam's son, then to his son, and etc etc! Then, I think somewhere around Solomon's time, they start to be able to connect up with history and some known dates. Therefore it goes from week one till Jesus, and the rest is history.
