If a person leaves his position unstated, then he loses the impact his correct insight might have on others, and if his view is errant, he loses the opportunity to receive correction in love. None of this should even be debated.

Have you not yet familiarised yourself with the passage Matthew 24 previously mentioned? Why do you believe Christ's correct insight loses its impact because his position was unstated?

1) What is life? Something that uses energy, and grows and replicates. A virus is not alive, but rather alters the life of something alive. If you unplug a virus from its host, it does not replicate, use energy or grow.

The above was the sort of answer I had expected. It may not be correct, but it is what I believe and I am not afraid to lay it out with clarity.

I believe the earth and the universe were created more than 10,000 years ago, but I am open to sound arguments that humans like me did not exist until about 6000 years ago. I do believe "death" existed before Adam was created, and that the "death entered the world" refers to the spiritual separation of Adam from God, rather than the onset of physical death.

This is presenting a stated position.

What "unstated" position did Christ take in Matthew 24?

He did not state the day nor the hour. You should obviously have a problem with his lukewarm unstated position since you will be unable to gain any benefit from it.

Funnily enough many on this thread had stated the position that they don't know how God created the universe, whether through natural or supernatural means. It has been stated that God however does know. But for some reason you consider this stated position to be lukewarm providing no benefit (whatever that means).

Folks, how much longer will this double standard be persisted with?

Should our no be no or maybe? What did Jesus say.
Should we be lukewarm, or should we take positions even though we know we see through a glass darkly? What did Jesus say.
Should be hold views that are inconsistent or is a double minded man unstable in all his ways?


Folks, God supernaturally intervened to cause the Big Bang, because according to naturalistic processes, the Big Bang could not occur. Is this known with absolute certainty? Nope. But it is a working hypothesis that has not been refuted for about 20 years.

How did you get to this conclusion from post 144? I don't see anything in the Fijian's post that says Jesus knew but was unwilling to state his view. What Jesus said was that the Son did not know the time of his return.

Where does the Fijian imply that Jesus knew the day and hour that he did not state?

And how often have we repeated that we have not stated a position on how God created life because we do not know how he did?
