If someone handed you a baby and a sharp knife then told you that if you kill this baby you will learn the cure for cancer .....would you do it?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

no, not when you put is like that.
but i read this articles once that stems cells may not even by considered a life like fetus or even embryos would. and it did gave a pretty good backing with scriptural refs.
so no, stem cell research many not be the same as killing a baby.

I disagree. A fetus is a baby. At least I have never witnessed a woman get pregnant with anything other than a baby.

By the same concept I wouldn't let a child do open heart surgery on me or blow on adults belly in public. It doesn't change the concept of them both being human beings with an inalienable right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. If an adult wanted to donate cells that would be a "choice".
