Hey guys! I really want to share this, so here I go. It started Wednesday. The freshmen and sophomores were going on their yearly campout. I am NOT a wilderness type person, so I wasn't planning on going. Well for some reason when this got around my class was really upset. So...I decided to get outside my comfort zone.
So, I went and I'm SO glad I did. I made some new friends, and bonded so much with friends I already have. We learned TONS about each other. It was awesome.
Well, Sabbath we had church service in the middle of nowhere. I mean, there's 25 members in this church. I was involved in leading song service, a skit for childrens story, and a group that did special music. I was running all over. Well, it was the sermon. I hae been struggling with some issues about my opinon about women pastors, because I thought God might be calling me to that particular service. I thought suddently, that could be me preaching someday upfront. All of the sudden I feel this overwhelming presence of God and His love. It was so strong it almost physically hurt. My eyes were drawn to a wall infront of the sanctuary. There was a banner hung there. I don't remember the exact wording but it was something like "Go make disciples, preach the gospel, and baptise them." I felt like it was a direct command. There's no way I can say no to God!
So that was my weekend. I just am sooo thankful my friends talked me into going.
