I live in the Great Lakes Area, we do not need to pray for rain, we need to pray for it to not rain. At least long enough for our picnic or to do what we need to get done.

Hey, cut that out! You made it stop raining in Pennsylvania! Quit fooling with the weather. ;)

Uh, actually, you can't change the weather in Michigan or Pennsylvania. Natural interactions of air masses cause your weather.

And just like variations in the natural movements of molecules can evolve a cloud into a thunderstorm, the natural mutations of DNA can evolve a hyrocatherium into a zebra.

We have lake effect weather. Lots of times we are planning to go somewhere and do something and it looks like the weather is not going to cooperate. WE pray about it and everything works out just fine. Even the sun comes out for a while and the bad weather is delayed until our event is over. Happens all the time. We can not change whole weather patterns but we can get a break in the clouds for a little bit. A friend of ours was visiting from Texas at the time of the recent louisiana flood. They were going to have to go through that storm to get back to Dallas. He was preparing for the worst. They had a few sprinkles to go though for a bit, but it was not bad at all. The Gulf was very hot, around 90 degrees and the weather coming off of the gulf was very severe. Everything was fine though, we prayed and they did not have any problem getting home at all that day. There were a bit worried that day knowing they were going to be driving into that storm. Everything was fine though and we give thanks onto God for answered prayer.

More childish nonsense.

What do you say then to the thousands of families damaged by recent flooding rains in your south, many of whom would have been praying their little hearts out?!

Weren't praying hard enough....?

Sounds complicated to be. When there is a vast area of rain moving over an area, for one small area where you exist to be immune from that rain every time you request it, would mean a massive interference with weather patterns over your area. Are you sure about this?

And your god is able to do that, but finds it too complicated to evolve a hyrocatherium into a zebra? Why is that? Changing those genes into the zebra are so straightforward, and the process so well understood, that most scientists think it happened, and could have happened even without direct intervention of God. But if you throw God in there to intervene? Then certainly it must be possible. And yet somehow you claim that this is too complicated for God, that your god--who somehow stops storm clouds for you every time you ask--finds this simple task too complicated. I don't understand why you say that.

There are a lot of Christians here that face floods. Many have prayed, but it has not held back the flood waters. If your method is foolproof, if it works every time, even in the most intense part of a hurricane, then please share your secret method with us. Why does it work every time for you, but not for others?

Hilarious stuff.
Have you ever heard of Kat Kerr. She has a very active imagination. She talks all about Heaven and what a wonderful place that will be. She talks about the mansions there that people live in. She comes up with some very interesting stories.

Oh no, that is not an opinion at all. Go out to the bars and people are laughing and having a good time. Only problem is they are dropping off like flies. They mourn for a little bit when someone dies but soon enough they are laughing again. Look at the doctors that perform surgery. They have to laugh at what they are doing. Otherwise whey would not be able to do their job.

Interesting that you are amused by our imagination. But you think when you die everything is going to go just fine. So you have just as much imagination as we do. Even more of an imagination because you think that people could live like the devil and commit all sorts of atrocities and end up the same as the Saint that devotes their life to doing good and helping as many people as they can. So you claim there is no reward for doing good and no punishment for being evil. Do you think when we die the good people will be punished for being good and the evil people will be rewarded for being evil and harming people?

According to the Apostles Creed we recite in church every Sunday, Jesus upon dying descended into hell.
Interesting.

I don't need a creed for that.

The Bible says it, that settles it.

What's your point?

That Jesus descended into Hell laughing at what Christians believe?

Jesus wasn't a scientist.

According to the Apostles Creed we recite in church every Sunday, Jesus upon dying descended into hell.
He descended into the lower parts of the earth so that he could lead captivity captive. They are just trying to translate that in a way that people can understand.

"When he ascended on high, he took many captives and gave gifts to his people."

Ephesians 4:9
Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

Jesus wasn't a scientist.
He Created Science. John 1:3 "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."
