Why do so many people fail to understand the difference between the Old Covenant and New Covenant? You don't have to be circumcised. You can eat pork. You don't have to go through ritual washing. Jesus himself broke these rules as a clear display that what matters is not the rules themselves, but your heart in following them. You follow God's commands because you love Him and you love others. You obey Him so that you may become closer to Him and pleasing to Him. You don't obey Him out of legalistic duty. That's what makes Christians different from Muslims and Jews. We don't keep a calendar and perform a silly hokey pokey of rituals in belief that this would bring us salvation. Salvation is from Christ.

Ephesians: 2:8-9: "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast."

Having sex with your neighbor's wife
A man who puts on a woman's cloak
A woman who wears the garments of a man

What other cultural laws should we bring back that the jews claim came from God.

Women are the property of men.
A woman to have her hymen inspected by priest if she can't prove virgin.
Children can be stoned....{course that may be OK}
Concubines
Polygamy
Slavery


We forget the jewish law was given and for the jews only and even it evolved.

Leviticus 20:13

Who thinks this is a good thing? I think this should be put into practice. It is Gods wish.

(King James) Leviticus 20:13 -If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

I think one has to love truth in order to properly uderstand the Levitical passages under question. Not just love 'the Truth' because so many already love their version of the word of God. If we just investigated where it is written that the Gentiles practiced these condemned customs and were judged accordingly, and their land given over to the Israelites (who had not been committing any of these acts) and we investigated the word nakedness as it is used throughout Leviticus, we would find that these acts were committed on the public stage. This is extremely interesting and shows how the Israelites did not commit any of these acts.
