I don't usually catch premieres, but I started watching leverage last night.
Its basically a group of professional criminals with an formerly lawabiding leader. They were tasked to do a high tech job to "steal back"
plans and work on some new product.
The best of criminals, did have some minor setbacks, but get the job done.
Then the employer calls and tells the leader he didn't get anything, and he froze the payments, if they wanted to discuss what happen, they had to meet at a factory in a remote location.
When all the players meet at the facotry, they are talking and within minutes figure out its a trap, and they run from the building as it explodes.
The group wakes up with everyone handcuffed to beds and chairs in a hospital.
To promote the series, its not smart to put the group in a fairly easy double cross, to avoid paying the promised fee, and get all the great criminals arrested in the first show.
Poor effects with the female cat burgular doing gumnastics on a desk, simple feats easily done by moderate gymnasts. The actress has as much ability as Madonna imo. Her younger persona had better acting then she did. Of course this was when she blew up the family home, because Daddy took away her bunny, because she wasn't stealing enough.
The fighter of the group
is shorter then most people, and doesn't seem to have extra muscles. His
fighting is in fast motion while those who he fights are in slow motion.
Maybe this is for the viewer with short attention spans and just likes fight scenes mixed with weak story.
Much potential, but not great results.
