How can a Christian at work let their light shine? I understand the person can say that they're Christian and they believe what they believe but they can't exactly proselytize at work because they're supposed to be doing their job.
Be loving towards others.
Blessings

The best way is to pray for opportunities. If I am approached by someone who is asking about God or similar questions, then I have the opportunity to share. The one fail safe is to live in love as @Maria Billingsley said. If people see you living in love when others are gossiping, lying, being disrespectful, etc they will take notice. If you eat lunch at work, pray before you eat and pray so people can see you praying. They can't tell you that you can't pray, and that is a witness to at the very least your religiousness and that can give opportunities to share. But again, the most important thing to do, the most vital thing to do is ask God constantly for chances to share the gospel and He will do so!

Depends on the nature of the job and how one interacts with work colleagues.
In an office one can leave a book on one's desk and be seen reading it during lunch breaks.
If it is a Christian book it will generate questions a d conversations.
Another way is to be open about what one did over the weekend.
Most work place conversations on Monday involve ' How was your weekend?'
So how was church, what was worth gossiping about at work?

Learn not to laugh at the same utterly jokes, don't gossip a out colleagues or take part in office politics, be totally honest never fiddling expenses etc.

I work at a non-profit place. I do some office work in the afternoon and I'm usually at my computer working on it related stuff as I am the navigator for some free IT classes they offer. I also teach in English class at night so I am prepping lessons for that. To be honest I don't spend a whole lot of time making conversations with people. However I'm always being myself. I'm always helpful to others and I'm always trying to do what's best for my students who are learning English.

We shone at work because we live in the teaching of Christ, that we be gracious, merciful, slow to anger, rich in grace and truth.

If you are truly living a Christian(godly) life at work, you will be persecuted. You can let your light shine by loving and praying for those who persecute you regardless
Have not been persecuted at work. What sort of persecution did you mean? Just getting a little flack?

Bathe the environment, your boss and co-workers in prayer. Do the same for your mindset, heart and work. Ask for the Lord's favor and counsel throughout the day and listen to Him. Be a source of encouragement and kindness. Don't add your voice to murmurings or negativity. Speak life into the people you encounter and influence. It's powerful and alters the person and culture too.

You're there to be a beacon of life. A holy representative in this wretched world. Not part of the problem. Keep a copy of Philippians 4:8 in view. You'll need a reminder more than once when circumstances encourage you to do otherwise. Be the gospel and they'll see it clearly.

Well I'll just go about my daily job then. I'm still fairly new to being an authentic Christian. I do have some little index cards on my cubicle about scripture and I often listen to the Bible on the computer although they were required to have headphones so that we don't disturb other people when we do conversations with people and if we want to listen to music or whatnot. But if somebody asks if I is that the Bible being read I can just answer with yes. As for getting flack, I haven't yet. But I probably shouldn't obsess and go searching for it.

You can still have a bible or other Christian book on your desk and if you want to witness to those at your work place, find the time when you can talk with them or socialise with them outside of work.

In your English as a foriegn language classes again you can talk with them about what you do, use churches as a means of getting english langage practise in conversations and comprehension and cultral education.
As part of a church attendance you could legitamtly then use the bible as part of the lesson.

Check out your church are there lonely elderly people who would spend a hour talking to your students at say your church, or bible students willing to learn about another belief in return for english conversation.

The organization that I work for actually discourages deep religious discussion in the classroom. I can say that I'm a Christian and I have. And I can say what I believe but I'm not allowed to proselytize to them in the classroom. That being said, I can tell them if they want to talk more about it I can give them my private personal cell number and they can discuss it with me then and there outside of work hours.

Be the perfect example of Godly Love to the best of your ability with everyone in the workplace, and with everyone knowing that you are Christian in the workplace to the best of your ability and without overstepping your bounds in the workplace, and do your job with excellence and to the very best of your own ability always as an example/witness to your own employers always, etc...

And don't proselytize when it's not necessary and when in the workplace because most of the time it's not if and when you are already doing all of these other things already, etc...

And other than that, only share only what is necessary only when asked in the workplace, etc, and just only maybe offer them something that is outside of the workplace if they want to know or discuss any more outside of the workplace or beyond that always, and let them know that that is always open to them and is always available for them always, etc, and have something like that to offer them that is always open to them always, etc...

Then go back to my first paragraph up top and re-read this again always, etc...

Being like Jesus to them is always much more important than talking like Jesus to them always, etc...

Especially when that is not always permitted in the workplace, etc, the talking part I mean, etc...

More important is being/doing/behaving/acting towards them always, etc...

Talking can come later, and outside of the workplace if they indicate to you that they want to do something like that outside of the workplace always, etc...

God Bless!
