Has anybody heard the song Letters from War by Mark Schultz? If so, what did you think of it?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yes, I have... saw him sing it LIVE in concert! It's a wonderful song... but when he sings it in concert, it's a tear-jerker because they are playing a video during it.

I've seen the music video for it, and it is a tear-jerker. It's one of my favorite songs by Mark Schultz

My Favorite is "You're a Child of Mine" that song always gets me crying when I hear it. It was his first song he sung when I saw him in concert.Ellesar said:

Mark Schultz really is an incredible singer - I love "He's my Son" which is wearing out on my cd cuz I play it too much!
Letters from War is so sweet! Don't you love that last part - "Dropped all his bags on the floor, holding all of his letters from war..." it always just sweeps me with emotion. (sniff sniff)

I think it's a sappy song that belongs on a secular station..... along with Mandy, by Barry Manilow, and Mr. Sandman with Linda Rondstadt. I like some of Mark Schultz's songs but not that one really......
