  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Let's talk about the reason for certain features we have

The dent in the chin, wonderful feature, seems to be héreditary. Why? It must be hard to shave there. I can't think if women have them but far more men have them then women. Maybe these features God put because he wanted them categorized for some reason. Maybe they are marks for distinguishing tribes of long ago?

Supposedly, your hair continues to grow after death.
Myth.

Hair and fingernails may appear longer after death, but not because they are still growing. Instead, a persons fingernails and hair may appear longer because the skin around them has retracted, according to the Dermatology Clinic at UAMS.

Your ears continue to grow when your body has stopped. Why, because are hearing goes so they need to be bigger to catch sound?
Myth but they do change.

Your nose and ears indeed change as you get older, but it isn't that they're growing. Instead, what you're seeing is the effects of skin changes and gravity. Other parts of your body change in the same ways, but your ears and nose are more visible and more noticeable.

For instance, that dent under the nose above the lip. Everyone has one some small, some deep, etc. What did God have in mind. Catch mucous? I don't know.
Got any in mind? I've got lots.
What is the purpose? There is no research supporting that the Cupid's bow has any function for the body's health or well-being. Anecdotally, some theories say that the dip in the center of the lip gives the lip more space to move and express, thereby increasing the range of non-verbal communication.

Nose does the same. With increased flatulence with age, does that mean we are guaranteed to reap what we sow?

Of course there was the well know chinless tribe.
They became famous for the invention of the goatee

That also applies to something else unmentionable here as I keep telling my scrawny brother who likes to brag

Toenails serve as little shields that protect the skin and bones that your toes are comprised of so that in the event of an injury, you're not left with broken skin or worse – a broken bone. In addition to protection, nails in general help with small tasks like peeling a sticker off a piece of fruit, or gripping cup.
