For instance, that dent under the nose above the lip. Everyone has one some small, some deep, etc. What did God have in mind. Catch mucous? I don't know.
Got any in mind? I've got lots.
Wow I'm impressed!!.it seems to me that it should be hit or miss. Not everyone should have one. It's amazing this answer. The philtrum is the proper anatomic name for the vertical groove extending from the nasal septum to the upper lip. It's formed during embryogenesis by skin and subcutaneous tissue cells migrating from the right and left sides of the face and meeting in the midline. As for function, the philtrum may allow the upper lip to stretch during smiling, talking, and eating. But mostly, it's just a remnant of how the facial structures are formed. Defective fusion of right and left facial tissues results in cleft lip. Which is the most common craniofacial birth defect. And is sometimes accompanied by cleft palate, and requires surgical correction. The link has much more detail, but is very technical.

Without what, flatulence?Kissing would be totally different without it.
Yes. Along with dust and particulate matter. Eyebrows are the first line of defense, followed by eyelashes. But I'm of the opinion that eyebrows evolved so that cosmetic companies can sell overpriced eyebrow pencils and other eyebrow makeup.. My wife is a lifelong customer.I guess eyebrows are to keep sweat out of your eyes
The first thing my sister taught me about those things is don't shave them. They won't grow backYes. Along with dust and particulate matter. BTW, it's not very common, but in some people, shaved eyebrows don't grow back, or only partially regrow. If you ever have a laceration involving an eyebrow, you might refuse to have the eyebrow shaved before the wound is sutured. The face has a very good blood supply, so injuries generally heal quickly. And in most cases, any clean, facial wound up to 5 cm (about 2 inches) doesn't need stitches and will heal perfectly well with Dermabond (skin glue.)

I don't understand why they shave them off and then paint them back on. You can tell when they do that, fake eyelashes, fake eyebrows? Strange, is sort of like gender change? No eyebrows, no "Wow".
Afterall, what is it that raises eyebrows?
Unless for medical reasons, to be blunt, vanity.I don't understand why they shave them off and then paint them back on. You can tell when they do that, fake eyelashes, fake eyebrows? Strange, is sort of like gender change?
