Except, I'm straight.
and BeckyH, Joe Strummer couldn't sing, so I picked the perfect group to mimmic.
Hmm well I will take the 5 minutes in time out when you prove to me that it isn't a sport.
Well lets look at the definition of sport.
A sport is:
1.) an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, wrestling, boxing, hunting, fishing, etc.
Now you cannot deny that Rhythmic gymnastics fits the criteria (I would like to see you try though).
Well, you're off the list.So true. I am not really into The Clash.
It's not competitive by nature. Dance is an expression of art form. Adding a score to it does not change the nature of the best. It is not a sport.
I win.

Easy, running around with ribbons takes no skill or physical prowess.

Well in that case I assume you'll both be entering to help win your country a gold medal. I'll start a thread where we can design your leotards.I agree with troll. IT requires no skill or phsyical prowess. If a 3 year old can do it, not a sport.

Why oh why is "rhythmic gymnastics" in the olympics? Why is it even considered a sport at all?
That would be awesome. But it needs a season, or at least a month to pwn the rest - maybe March; between the Super Bowl and the beginning of baseball in April.Great thread! I always hope for someone to trip on the ribbon as they twirl it around.
What about full contact chess? Everyone is on a big board lined up like a chess match... hummm
