FG, this is why I ignore a lot of stuff you say.
I said no such a thing -- you might want to go back and read what I said, as I was careful not to say that.
I never said nothing but the earth existed after Day One; in fact, I went out of my way not to.
I said the earth was the only physical thing in the universe after Day One.
Photons have no mass, true. They are still
physical though. Even so, what shone, AV? You claim the earth rotated. Well, why didn't the light source rotate around the earth?
Still, you're right. You specified nothing with mass. It still does not make sense AV. But you're right, I should have specified: You say the earth rotated relative a light source. If nothing with mass existed, what shone?
Light was also created on Day One, and I knew someone would call me on that if I didn't include it.
Light was created yes. But the Jewish definition for day is dependent on the sun, not 'light on vs. light off'. So the term 'day' makes little sense without the sun, which was created on day four. Inconsistent? Yes.
Besides, what's with your neglect of Genesis 2 AV?And you still have not answered why God made all the starlight we see with information about events that have never ever taken place such as supernovae, planets orbiting distant suns and so on. And more, you neglect fossils, you ignore archeological digs and more. I've asked you before, why do you not consider the inconsistencies of your own position yet don't give a second thought to the inconsistencies of our forefathers who read the bible literally and concluded that the ptolemaic system was true and biblical?
I do not enjoy conversing with you at all.
That is obvious.
I don't expect you to. I expect you to notice that your cage has been rattled and to open your eyes to what you're doing before you die, unrepentent and guilty of great sins through the passage of your life. My intent is not to be liked by you. It is to prevent you from pushing people from Christ any more than you already have. If I can smack some sense into you and show you what you're doing as I've been where you are and done what you do and there is nothing I regret more, because I could have spent that time showing people that Jesus is someone whom they can believe in and worship, not a fairy tale worthy of contempt like I did and you are doing.
AV, I can't say this clearly enough, and if it makes you hate me, fine. Just use your God-given humility and introspection to recognize what you're doing and repent. Hate me all you want. Just don't push people away from Jesus.
Your zeal to show me to be in error causes you to make mistakes.
I'm sorry you think so.
Everybody can make mistakes though. I know I make my share. Am I zealous to show you to be in error? Perhaps. For good reason though. You're probably a good person, and I hate to see you make Christ so inaccessible to people.
Even if you're right AV, what you're promoting pushes people away. Why not focus on Christ's message of compassion, love and mercy? Show them who Jesus is and then when they understand Him and accept His love we can start talking more in-depth theology which can be difficult to understand without first knowing Christ's love?
Why start with what you KNOW they cannot accept and thereby alienating Christ, making salvation something they will never enjoy.
How can you forgive yourself for that? You're killing them. And not just physically though that would be terrible, but spiritually. Eternally.
