• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Let's invade Canada!

Well the Queen is their head of state, so yeah it belongs to you (personally :p). Canada is your realm.

And it's a pint of Guinness, no logo on the foam. ;) :p

You haven't read many of my posts, have you? :p

Yes I have....*shifty eyes"

Okay, maybe I haven't! :p

Of course in my case it's just because I'm a cranky individualist and don't really believe in the existence of nation-states in the first place.

Join the club!!! :D We are all on the same planet, we are all humans, so we should help each other out instead of only being concerned with the interest of our own countries. Some nation states don't seem to realise that they are not removed from the rest of the world :doh:and that their actions affect the rest of the world. One example is transboundary pollutants originating from tall chimneys in the UK (ironically introduced because of the clean air act) entering Scandinavia and acidifying soils and water.

And probably smogging up the caves of a few harmless bergatrolls, too. :(

But seriously, I get your meaning. I don't go messing up my neighbor's property, nor he mine. Neighbors tend to respect one another. But when things are done under the name of "we", it is almost always with criminal damage against "them". Collectives make bad neighbors.

I can't even think of one decent Canadian brewski. It doesn't even have to be a microbrew either, just something solid, and I can't think of one.

Labatt Blue is pretty solid. And it's better than most other commercial beers.

I've had that, and rubbing alcohol is better, lol !
Compared to what commercial domestic, exactly? Because Coors/Miller/Budweiser cannot compare to Labatt, except for maybe when you get a Bud or a Bud Light on a good day.

I'm not a huge fan of BMC american domestics, however I do like Olympia though if I just want to drink something no frills. I mean I don't need a Stone brewski all the time.

See well I said that for a commercial beer Labatt isn't bad. See how the comparison isn't bad now? ;)

I bought some Sam Adams Light a couple days ago....it's pretty good stuff, imo. They were right about the "doesn't taste like a light beer"....it most certainly doesn't taste like water. :p
