30 minutes [under a foil sheet to prevent burning and a hard crust forming]
check centre with a pallete knife, if sticky, continue cooking for 15-20 minutes
and check again with a clean knife

because we shoulda started with at least one cup of lentils per person :D

ok... it's been simmering a 'while' now and lentils can be pulped between thumb and forefinger [ready?]

the only description I saw was 'a cup of'
but I envisaged those orange looking 'pips' [when uncooked]

and Lentils & Prunes for the meal...
I also think the celery would have been
a bit too strong a flavour for the 'meal'
but the two glasses of sherry woulda helped that out a lot :)
